  1. Past hour
  2. And the way it lookss, the 1st Rd RB will be gone at 6. The Bears need to hype up Membo, Warren, and Walker and pray 2 or 3 QBs go. I'd love to see Campbell and Banks there at 10 to see who they would take. Couple more arm length tidbits. Robert Gallery had 32.4 Joe Thomas had 33.8 " Jason Peters 33-1/8 Taylor Lewan 33.9" Will Campbell 32.7" Kelvin Banks. 33.5"
  3. I believe I read the Edmunds had to play deep, like Urlacher in Flus's D. Which would have taken him out of the immediate action for runs since the D lines gap responsibilities would funnel the ball to Edward's. Allen's D is ran different and supposedly Edmunds and Edward's will be open to attack the ball. The DBs would be more man It will be interesting to watch this form. It might fit Stevenson and Johnson better too.
  4. It's good to have a team play together for multiple years too. thats a talent multiplier. I think Poles has a very clear plan for how to do things and I think hes done a great job at that, he just sucks at picking coaches and players LOL but with support from the staff it should all work out well.
  5. totally agree. and the narratives that come out of the combine are all distorted
  6. assuming we are building around Swift, which Im not convinced of, but we can disagree.
  7. agree with all of this adam, and ASHKUM. We either take OT, DL or HB with pick 10 I think. If we take OT, then it's Kalen Johnson and a defensive player DL or S in the 2nd unless a dream WR or TE falls If we take HB, then it's Ersery in the 2nd and a defensive player DL or S in the 2nd unless a dream WR or TE falls If we take DL, TE or WR in the first, then it's Ersery and Kaleb Johnson in the 2nd. So if we take TE or WR with the first pick, then theres no defensive help until round 3, which seems bad for Allen, so i think that kind of rules out TE or WR at 10 In the 3rd, you can look at DL, S, WR and TE But 2 of the first three picks have to go to OT and HB I think. And then you try to get some defensive line help or possibly a safety.

  9. Clear your cards! We have a Bingo. The Bears have to become successful at drafting and developing O and D lineman. They have been trading picks and paying for FAs for far too long. Draft the best LT and DT in round 1 and 2. Draft line every year until you are set with youth in the top 3 rounds. The silence on the top OT tells me they are blowing smoke.
  10. I don't think they will go Edge in the 1st, Odeyingbo has a $20M cap hit in 2026 and $19.5M in 2027, I don't think Poles pays him that much to be Edge3. Billings is on the last year of his deal, and Jarrett is older. If the talk of Dexter sliding outside is true, that makes Edge even less of a priority with a very high-draft pick. Braxton is still recovering, his status is unknown and Kiran is still a question mark. OT has to be high on their list. Kmet is the only TE signed past this season, if he gets injured, Smythe is TE1. So TE will be selected in the first 4 picks. OT, DT, TE, and RB will most likely be the first 4 picks. S and WR potentially in the 2nd or 3rd is someone drops.
  11. Good signing with solid value. Same with Gordon.
  12. Very true. Any player invited to the combine gets all the medical stuff out of the way. Could you imagine getting full medical eval on multiple team visits? That would be hell...
  13. Poles has identified the core players and sign them. Brisker's health is the key to need at S , if healthy, he will be here next year also. If Byard plays well, he did last year, they could bring him back. Backups are solid NFL players.
  14. I expect us to take anyone of the blue chip players if there, otherwise Mykel Williams is my focus right now. I heard a podcast and can't remember the football guy but he mentioned we were 6 deep at DT. Dexter, Billings, Jarrett, Cris Williams, Zach Pickens and Johnathan Ford. Lots of questions past the first 3 but we do have those bodies on the roster. DE is much thinner.
  15. I love this move. Edwards has played above his current deal, now locked up for 3 more years. The 2026 Defense has Sweat, Odeyingbo, Jarrett, Dexter, Edmunds, Edwards, Gordon, Johnson, and Stevenson. Safety is the only position without a starter signed thru at least 2026. Edmunds probably a cap casualty, but that is a ton of continuity on the defensive side of the ball. Safety may be a higher priority with Brisker's health and Byard's age. The entire starting offense is also signed thru 2026 besides Thuney and the LT. So right now 9 of 11 on offense and defense signed thru 2026.
  16. I'm not complaining about KJ, I'd love to have him, it's just Junkins will be a very good player, better than Henderson. Henderson is a Swift type in an offense, we need a compliment back with power.
  17. The main reason for the combine is medicals and they get to interview players. The measuables are secondary.
  18. Highly likely one of those 2 are our pick at 10.
  19. If Warren is there, I think we take him , and 72 is the sweet spot for RBs, probably there.
  20. Edmonds hasn't played up to the contract but he hasn't been playing bad. Allen may be the answer to getting our monies worth. The only left is to resign Thuney.
  21. This is excellent news. We really are going to be a team for several years. Edwards has been playing very well. I wonder how long Edmunds will stick around, we are paying him a fortune. He's got all the measurables, but his production has been lacking. Maybe the new scheme and coaches will unlock him, otherwise, his days could be numbered - probably after this year. It gets very cheap to cut him next year.
  22. Yesterday
  23. Will be interesting to see who, if anyone, from the Bears are in attendance.
  24. I don't know what is worse, Henderson at 10 or Hunter at 7? Both are soooo bad.
  25. for real. how can anyone have Henderson at 10?
  26. for sure, but KJ is more than just power, I'm just saying he has more power than Hampton. Hampton has the body, but doesnt seem to really know how to use it.
  27. its funny, we are all so educated now on this draft. this board is excellent. we debate, argue, but in the end I think this community is more educated on the draft players and scenarios than most Bears talk shows, no less other boards.
  28. This would be nice, especially with Ratledge or equivalent in the 3rd. Addresses trenches and adds playmakers. One thing that I have considered when looking at the roster, I doubt they add a TE and a WR in the first 4 picks. I think it will be one or the other, or neither.
