  1. Today
  2. I'm trying to find it but I read where one of these Edge players didn't have very many sacks but had 53 pressures. I'm thinking it was Pierce, buy can't find the article. It could have been Williams.
  3. If the GMs get nervous, maybe 3 QBs go in the top 9. No matter how it drops we're getting a good player.
  4. sure does! Also sadly, a WR prospect killed himself the other day. Kyren Lacy. I was looking at him too. Man crazy shit happens.
  5. Reports are swirling around the possibility that Derek Carr may need surgery and be out indefinitely. With the Saints at the 9th pick that puts a QB in the mix at their pick.
  6. Great article, I like the ones that give you NFL comparison to give a better idea of the player. Interesting that Membou/ Darnell Wright. Ersery/ Orlando Brown Conerly/ Slater Banks/ Vera-Tucker Vera-Tucker is playing RG for the Jets, I find that odd.
  7. There is only 2 days left for pre draft visits . Aaron lemmings has 29 players listed for visits. He has no first round OTs unless Conerly slips to the first round. Does this mean we are not taking a OL at 10? It's possible, but if I'm reading the tea leafes, it's saying no.
  8. https://mcshay-report.beehiiv.com/p/how-to-build-through-the-trenches-in-the-2025-nfl-draft-87f29cafaf3f5b51 Thought this was pretty good by Tod Mcshay. Focused on the oline and interior dline. Real nice things said about a few of our favorites - Banks, Simmons and Minny LT all had good things said. Simmons concerns around work ethic mentioned - basically most talent LT, but injury issues and some work ethic stuff cited.
  9. My pick: Banks Stewart Mykel Williams
  10. Quite frankly I’d be fully game with Stewart. Production not quite there but we have a good coaching staff and his tools are ELITE.
  11. He is the defensive player I’m taking if they want a linemen. He played hurt this year and still was good…his tools are great though. But what he showed grinding through hurt for his team was impressive.
  12. Wait what did I say? I’ve said Jeanty is my pick if Bears don’t have a high grade on a LT, DE, DB or a good trade down offer when they pick at 10. Jeanty is a blue chip talent and a true difference maker and the Bears flat out need more of those in general.
  13. Narrowing things down, I think you are on point. EDGE is a known huge need for us. OG, 3 tech, RB and TE are tremendously deep. It makes me want 5 picks in rounds 2 and 3.
  14. We should have the best opportunity to draft the second best edge in the draft. That's a priority position. Is that the common sense pick? I don't consider Walker an edge ( LB) but many do. DT, RB and TE have depth so the second round could still get good players there. Many project 6 pass rushers to go in the first round. LT is another upgrade position but prospects that fit Poles criteria are there in 2nd or 3rd. Banks and Simmons are the only 2 first round picks that fit LT. Doubt he picks an injured player 2 years in a row so if they deem Banks a blue chip LT, he may be there pick.
  15. Random note on Jeanty. Louis Riddick was on Waddle and Silvey today and loves Jeanty. He said it's between the Penn State DE and him to be the top players in the draft. Also said that Pete Carroll is obsessed and will probably pick him. He would definitely draft Jeanty if he falls to us. He likes Campbell, Membou or a DE for our pick.
  16. Yesterday
  17. Yep. Turns 21 in June.
  18. Isn’t Williams still really young?
  19. To put this in further context: -Pearce ran a 4.47 but is 20 pound lighter. -Stewart ran a 4.59 and was about the same size at the combine -Pretty much the same 40 as Landon Jackson who is about the same size as Williams.
  20. Where did you find that time? He didn’t run at the combine nor at the pro day as far as I can tell? So it comes down to private workouts. He’s long and rangy so I don’t expect him to be elite in the 10yd split Against Texas inSEC title game he had 6 pressures 4 hurries and 2 sacks. Against two Potential NFL OTs
  21. Johnson also watched his defense lose a game in the playoffs. Then watched the Eagles defense shutdown Mahomes with a great pass rush. It’s hard to say what he’s thinking is best.
  22. Agree. If you take a closer look to the production of the bigger DEs that might fit our scheme, 5 sacks is almost three times what a healthy Shemar Stewart got, the same as Nic Scourton, and not that much less than James Pearce (7.5) and Landon Jackson (6.5). If he was injured all year and couldn’t put big time weight on that leg, and you project him to be healthy, maybe you have something. Of course, he ran a pretty slow 40 at the end of the year, so is that just what he is or what he still feeling the effects of the injury (which would be concerning to me). Much to consider.
  23. I’ve been warming up to taking Mykel Williams at 10. Premium position. Premium talent. Less than premium production.

    Team notes

    Stewart and Johnson as well:
  25. Definitely want one. He goes in the first round. Does anyone think they would take him at 10?
