Hopefully we can quit hearing about how Brian Griese would have done a better job all along... There is a reason he has bounced from team to team. There aren't that many good NFL QBs floating around, and those that are, don't move around that much. One observation from this game, Turner's game plan sucked. He didn't let the QBs go down field much, if at all, and once GB figured it out, they just started jumping the short routes knowing the ball was coming. The Bears offense never made an adjustment. I was also surprised they didn't pull out a trick play or two on offense, just to screw with whoever they end up playing in their first game.

There are a lot of interesting sidestories going on in this game... -Will Tank Johnson be effective? -Is this Favre's last game? -How much will Grossman play? -If Greiese plays well, how much more pressure does that put on Rex for the playoffs? -Can the defense make a statement before the playoffs? -Does Lovie go with his starters, even if he is losing? -How much will the moderately injured guys play, such as Thomas Jones and Jason McKie?

Meh, all the experts are is entertainers, trying to get people to pay attention to them. The game is played between the lines, and that is all that really matters.

How about Anderson? The guy has incredible numbers, and only is playing part-time. Can you imagine if he had been playing every down, all year long?

Damn, that sucks that they can change the game with basically no notice. I hope no one has a flight reserved to leave after the game should have been ending, because now they have to eat those tickets, or pay a huge cancellation fee.

Exactly. It is a pretty routine thing, as far as work release goes, and as long as he is with the team, there is no reason for them not to let him go... Well unless he gets arrested again or something stupid like that.

Lovie was quoted as saying players that weren't 100% ready to go on Sunday weren't going to play at all. We could be looking at a skeleton crew here.

Is death an option? Right now, you would be hard pressed to name any professional franchises that have been run worse than the lions have over the last 10 years or so. Even the Blackhawks have some hope for the future... The Lions biggest hope is whoever they draft next year, and odds are they will screw that up too.

It might be the probation violation that gets him. That will be an interesting day in court next Friday. He could face up to a year in jail.

And that is all fine, but in the meantime, Angelo needs to shut his piehole about character if he is willing to change as mind as soon at that player is a key starter. Why did it take until the 3rd arrest for this revealation? Was it because this is the first time that his job was in danger??? I believe it when I see it. Anybody can stand up and act contrite and apologize, it takes a real man to actually clean up his life.

Yeah, then Angelo just needs to STFU and get talented guys regardless of their backrounds. Heck I am sure Randy Moss is available, why not give him a whirl?

Meh, my point is if we are going to hold ourselves up as being better than taking any player, than live up to your word, even if it costs you in the end. Don't talk if you don't intend to live up to your word.

I can't see it happening any other way to tell you the truth. I mean could you bring this guy back, and still have any credibility?

Well they did get him out there for a play, but a bad throw kept the ball out of his hands. Now the playoff opponents have a lot more to think about in their game planning.

Damn, they tried their hardest to give that game away! The defense just fell apart in the 2nd half, hopefully that isn't a sign of things to come. Plus they really went conservative on offense at the sametime, and it was almost the recipe for disaster.
