Unfortunately you are probably right. I really wish we would have dumped him in the offseason. Now we handed him a bunch of money already.

That's strange, and you hate to speculate, but what possible reason would there be for this to happen? There is no one saying the car is stolen... so what happened?

Harris could be held out again this weekend

When was the last time that LT had a major injury? -

Yeah, this doesn't bode well for the regular season, and it could also explain all of the additions on the defensive line. -
Nice write up. I love how they really look at the quality depth, which with the injuries that happen in the NFL, you have to have good players at #1 through #53. The Bears have done a great job making sure that the bottom of the roster if filled with cheap young players, who fit our system, and are ready to play from day one.

The first of this year's Grossman threads

Give Peyton Manning the Bears defense at any point in his career, and he probably is 16-0 with a cakewalk to the Super Bowl. Just sayin'. -
One thing I will say for Benson is that he is the type of back that is either most effective after coming in as a change of pace for a speedback, or in the 4th quarter when he has been pounding and wearing out guys for most of a game. Preseason is not going to be his thing.

The big difference between then and now is that there is a complete lack of ego on this team. The 1985 team was their own worst enemy. This team flies so far under the radar, they might as well be a stealth bomber.
-
This is a solid and deep of a team as we have had in a long time. The fruits of the drafts are really paying off, as are Jerry Angelo's shrewd trades for guys who aren't wanted by their old teams. The crazy thing is that they could be good for years, not just a one-hit wonder.

Veteran safeties already forming a bond

Well, that is assuming Brown stays healthy... -
ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?

Babich may look to increase Bears' blitz package

The one fault I had with Rivera was that he seemed to never want to adjust. Hopefully Babich isn't afraid to improvise when needed. -

If Brown can stay healthy... -
I would have gone for something classic like "Heart of Glass", but I digress.
-
If he can help us stop the run, that would be huge!
-
Good god, I'd die trying that work out.

Sounds like all 3 QBs had decent nights. I know Griese had the INT, but it seemed like he recovered pretty well after that.

The goal is to have one place where you can go as a Chicago fan to talk about all of your favorite teams. Its kinda been a dream for a while now, and this site finishes the dream. Once this is finished, it will be a sweet set up like no one else has ever done before.

It will be interesting, because they are definately going to challenge Rex to beat them. Defenses are going to be blitzing the hell out of him, and trying to get him to throw off of his backfoot to force INTs. It will be interesting to see if Rex can make the adjustments, and if these speed receivers can learn to be short posession receivers to help out on the blitz reads.

NFL suspends Obafemi Ayanbadejo four games
southsider2k5 replied to Controlled Chaos's topic in Soldier Field
Wow, I am shocked the Bears signed him with this knowledge. It doesnt' seem like their kind of move. He must have convinced them that it was something innocent in a supplement or something like that. -
Or maybe with Walker in the mix now, they are thinking about cutting Adams to save a few bucks? Who knows.
-
Looks like a 53rd man kind of situation. He might not even survive that long.
-
Its a good thing that the Bears have been working out Jamar Williams over there, just in case this turns out to be serious.
