Our tackling is just sad at times.
-
If we don't hear "With the first pick of the draft, the Bears select OL....." Then massive amounts of people need to be canned.
-
Our lovely offensive line is going to get Cutler concussed tonight. So their D line is in the backfield all the time putting pressure on the QB. Our D line is skating around not putting pressure on anyone. Maybe the bears can freakin man up for once and play hard.
-
The cold is built for throwing. We don't have the line to run smashmouth football. We should be using screens, and short passes to open up a running game. Then playaction.
-
Well its nice to see our defense decided to suck at the worst possible time. Nice choke job boys.

Lovie doesn't change anything. He is still waiting for his front 4 to generate pressure. And he is still trying to figure out why his strip first tackle 2nd defense isnt working all that well in this wet stuff. -

The only way draft pick position matters is if Angelo is gone. He will overdraft a defensive guy and neglect the OL until say like the 4th round. If they do select an OL, he will have an extensive injury history. -

He should be on the bench right now. They have him playing way too much this game. -

So the offensive line and the defense have decided to take the game off. -

Their OC has changed the gameplan. More screens and underneath throws. And their line is doing a better job at protecting the QB. -

Maybe the two safety's shouldn't be back-peddling on every single play. Vick is picking them apart. -

At least now its a two score game. I would love to see Olsen and Knox as the WRs with Hester in the slot. That would be a nice balance out there. -

They should be softening up the pass rush with some runs, and some screens. Then start into the play action. Once you get he line on their heels, then drop back and survey the field. Nice interception Peanut. -

Thats the scary thing with Martz. He still wants those 7 step drops. The problem with that is, our line is built for the quick 3 step drop. If his plan is to get Cutler killed, then keep with the 7 step drops. As long as they can keep the pressure up the middle to a minimum we should be good. They might need to start chipping on the right side. -
Good to see that the Kyle Orton fan club is still holding its secret meetings. So you are convinced that giving Angelo more 1st round draft picks would immediately turn into talent. I mean which injured/bad player that Angelo would of drafted at the point would be making the difference now. And a MIke Martz verticle attack with an immobile QB and a horrific line equals a better chance. The only thing we would have if Orton was here under Martz and this line is the introduction to the Hanie era as Kyle would be planted into the turf about 4 weeks ago. Cutler in 2008 with Denver. Sacked 11 times in 727 drop-backs, one sack per 66 pass plays. This year, he has been sacked 37 times in 224 pass plays. one sack per 6 pass plays. No corelation there. Getting driving into the ground ever 6 pass plays helps to clear the head and makes you a better QB. Kyle Orton never had above an 80 QB rating here in Chicago. When he was "the winner" in 2005, he had a 59.6 QB rating. People's memories lie and their reviews on their perceived skill and talent he had while he was here. He wasn't all that good here He mysteriously started to get better when he left here. And magically an All Pro QB started to have a downward spiral when he came here. If anything this tidbit would provide an analysis point. But it probably won't. Because facts just get in the way of the pitchforks and the torches. Cutler is evil. He has a smug look on his face, he gets to penetrate girls that wouldnt give you the time of day, and is a millionaire. Sure Orton got drunk, partied and wasn't particularly good while he was here. But at least he didnt penis any member of the hills and gave someone a dirty look.

Well I give this the early lead for crazy post of the week. But of course, its early and the Kyle Orton fan club shown up yet. Its a game, played by millionaires that has no real affect on your life. Take a drink, relax and think about that for a moment. So unless the bookies are after you because Cutlers picks cost you your house I would say that this has minimal impact on your life. They played rotten and it was a terrible game. Last time I checked, this isnt a superbowl team not realizing its potential. Its a bad team with a lame duck coach and questionable talent.

In a Martz offense there are only two ways you have underneath guys. One he spreads out 5 wide. The concussion play was one where maybe he could of hit the underneath guy over the middle. But for the most part, they send guys deep and the safety valve is the RBs and the TEs that leak out. The problem with that is, you can't leak them out if the OLine is a turnstyle. Adjustments that I would of liked to have seen is more screens called to losen up the pass rush. We can't run the ball, so the screen is the only way to get some of that back. The other way would of been to adjust to 5 wide and spread it out earlier. They waited too long.

Cutler didn't play well. I never said he was good tonight. He was total crap on a stick tonight. But the line tonight was historically bad tonight. 2 QBs out of the game due to injury and another QB gets planted. Eventually its the line, and not just all of the QBs holding the ball too long.
