  1. We cant forget about Rashaan Salaam
  2. That would be entertaining seeing Briggs trying to play MLB.
  3. that would be a given but theres no way they would. The damned Buccaneers are CJ feens!
  4. It would be interesting but if Calvin Johnson is there at 4 I dont see them moving. We know thats who they want, and they might be trading up with Detroit to make sure they get him.
  5. Im sure everyone has hear about this and that none of them failed a drug test but while they were being interviewed these three all admitted to smoking Marijuana before. Now it shouldnt be that big a deal but does everyone think it was a good idea considering all the things the league is doing now. Look at Pacman, Henry and even Ricky Williams and Merriman. Do you think this info will make any teams pass on these guys early? I just thought it was interesting these guys admitted to using it when they passed the drug test. It does however, make them appear to be very honest and maybe teams should even worry less because they more than likely wouldnt of admitted it if they were planning on using it again.
  6. We all know what Mel thinks, who do you guys think are the best prospects in this years draft? I think the best player in the draft is Adrian Peterson. I really hope he doesnt land in our division. I think the best QB is Drew Stanton. I really think Quinn and Russell are severely overhyped and if Oakland takes Russell and plays him immediately he is gonna get destroyed. Im not too familiar with most of the WR's. Apparently Johnson is the second coming of Jerry Rice and everything but I will reserve judgment. I do think Bowe is gonna be good and think Jarrett and Smith are both solid prospects. Im also not too familiar with Meacham. Im also really high on Olsen and not just because I hope we end up with him. I think hhes gonna be a tremendous weapon in the NFL and will have some great receiving numbers. As far as defense, the guys I really like are Okobi and Landry. I also like Poz but not in the top 15.
  7. Whatta bunch of BS. Vitamin water should cover this.
  8. Thats insane. I didnt even hear about this. Where and when was he wearing the hat?
  9. Thats gotta be wrong...its gotta be Tank talking to the Bengals.
  10. 1. Week 3 sounds good 2. Ill go with shoulder injury 3. 10-12 weeks
  11. I actually dont mind picks one and two. I think adding a top flight receiver and good prospect tight end will really help our offense and team overall.
  12. This years victim is Vince Young
  13. I dont know if I want a guy named Rufus on the team.
  14. Theres is no way Olsen is gonna be there at 31. It would be nice if he was, but I dont see there being anyway that happened.
  15. We could also say the Oakland game should be easy. It better be.
  16. NFL.com wire reports DENVER (April 12, 2007) -- The Denver Broncos signed free-agent wide receiver David Terrell to a one-year contract. The 28-year-old played for the Broncos in 2005, but was out of the NFL last season after Denver released him on Sept. 2. He previously played for the Chicago Bears and the New England Patriots. 17. Link LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Lovie Smith gave his players a history lesson Tuesday when the Bears assembled as a team for the first time since they dropped Super Bowl XLI to the Indianapolis Colts. Aware that recent Super Bowl losers have struggled the following season, Smith talked about the 1971 Dallas Cowboys and 1972 Miami Dolphins, the only teams in NFL history to win the Super Bowl one year after losing the big game. Bears fourth-year head coach Lovie Smith is convinced that his players aren't satisfied with just getting to the Super Bowl. In 2006, the Seattle Seahawks became the first Super Bowl loser to finish with a winning record the subsequent season in six years. The previous five Super Bowl losers stumbled the year after, finishing with marks of 6-10, 7-9, 4-12, 7-9 and 7-9. “The players are hearing enough about the Super Bowl losers and the bad things that happen the next year,” Smith said Tuesday as the Bears kicked off their offseason conditioning program. “I wanted them to just concentrate on (winning the Super Bowl). That’s our goal. We lost it one year, (but) it’s not like we have to be the first to do something. Two other teams have done it.” A letdown may be natural in some cases, but Smith is convinced that the Bears aren’t satisfied with just reaching the title game. “You can exhale a little bit by making it there, if that was your goal in that you wanted to get to the Super Bowl,” said the fourth-year coach. “But it’s about winning it for us, so I just don’t see that happening to us. “Just like the year before, we didn’t accomplish our goal, so we’re still hungry. We lost some good players, but you’re never the same. We have the core of our team back and we know the routine. I just can’t wait for us to take another step.” Smith’s optimism was shared by Bears players who returned to Halas Hall Tuesday. “Everybody’s excited,” said cornerback Nathan Vasher. “You can kind of feel a little buzz in the air just with everybody getting back into the facility and taking the first steps toward the ultimate goal, and that’s being able to win the Super Bowl. Everybody has a positive attitude right now.” “It’s always great to get back and get in the swing of things,” said All-Pro kicker Robbie Gould. “It sets the tone for hopefully what is another Super Bowl run, and all the guys are really excited about it. It’s just the first day—there’s a long way to go—but this starts it off.” For the third straight year, the Bears’ offseason program will last 10 weeks, down from 14 weeks in Smith’s first season. Conducted by strength and conditioning coordinator Rusty Jones, the program focuses on weightlifting, running, stretching, nutrition and muscular balance. Nearly 100 percent of Bears players have participated in recent years, and Smith said that he was “very pleased” with Tuesday’s turnout. One player who will not attend, however, is linebacker Lance Briggs, who has expressed his unhappiness about being designated as a franchise player. As part of the offseason program, the Bears will conduct voluntary OTA workouts in May and June. The May 18-20 minicamp is the only mandatory full-squad session prior to training camp. If the theme last year when the Bears reached the Super Bowl for the first time in 21 seasons was “finish,” this year’s rallying cry very well could be “unfinished business.” “A lot of guys want to get back (to the Super Bowl),” Vasher said. “It was a great accomplishment, but at the same time it was disappointing not to be able to win the ballgame and I will do everything in my power to try to improve what I do personally to make our team better. “There’s still a whole lot of unfinished business and it all starts right now.”
  18. The Ravens select: Justin Blalock, OT, Texas The Chargers are on the clock.
  19. If he doesnt pick by tomorrow afternoon I say go ahead as long as Soxfan1 doesnt mind.
  20. I didnt see that one but I could imagine how it would be entertaining.
  21. I would assume he doesnt get paid for the games he misses and gets prorated for the games he suits up for. All I do know is that the reason for sitting out "10" games is because that means that if they tried to tag him again next year they have to pay him the average of the top 5 highest paid players instead of just outside linebackers. Since no team would pay that for a weakside linebacker it increases his chances of being a free agent.
  22. The only non conference games we got that arent against playoff teams last year are:Denver, who was one quarter away from the playoffs and Washington, who did much better the second half when they benched Brunell.
  23. On ESPN they just reported that the Bears have the second easiest schedule next year. Now I suppose its watered down because of our division but this is by no means an easy schedule. Here we go again...
  24. Its definitely gonna be interesting to see how all of this pans out.
  25. 6 primetime games. Thats pretty cool
