  1. Anything with a high first and second day pick is fine with me.
  2. I agree. Ive been saying this all along. I would be pissed to if I was franchised and to drag this on makes our organization look bad. It seriously is gonna make rookies not want to get drafted by us and free agents not want to sign with us. Trade him and end this and watch him rot somewhere with his 7 year contract and never be on a contender.
  3. I wish this would just end already and we knew what kind of draft picks we were gonna get for him.
  4. It started Saturday and youre actually on the clock
  5. Ill be popping in and out for a while too
  6. Are you saying his injuries have effected his play when he is on the field? He seemed to be ok to me. Archuleta isnt washed up, hes 29. He was used improperly in Washington. He is also significantly better than Manning.
  7. Manning hasnt proven anything and Brown can play either safety position. Remember, he was the free safety the whole time Parrish was here and thats when he had one of his best seasons as a Bear.
  8. I would be a huge fan of bringing in Archuleta. If Brown was healthy, that would be one of the best safety tandems in the league and our run defense would great.
  9. I almost think if we can land a stud safety it may be more valuable than getting a replacement for Briggs. Unless Poz is available in the draft. If Brown was healthy and we had another really good safety our defense would be just as dominate as ever.
  10. I think hes important for depth and good on special teams but Im gonna cross my fingers and hope Mike Brown can stay healthy.
  11. Like I said before I think athletes are not above the law and should be held accountable for their actions. The best way to look at this is to imagine if these guys were as rich as they are but weren't famous. Tank- Violated parole by having unregistered guns- I dont think an average rich guy would go to jail for this. Im not saying I dont think he should, but think money can get you out of it. This was another Tank one bt it was dropped-On February 12, 2006, Johnson, while still on probation, was charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest after allegedly verbally threatening a police officer. Johnson was leaving Level Nightclub on Chicago's Rush Street when the police officer was ticketing a limousine driver who Johnson had hired. As Johnson allegedly put up a struggle, he was maced and subdued with the help of other police officers. The charges were eventually dropped. Pacman- On July 13, 2005 Jones was arrested on charges of assault and felony vandalism stemming from a nightclub altercation In October 2005, in a petition filed by the State of West Virginia, it was alleged that Jones had not made regular and sufficient contact with his probation officer and that he did not report his July arrest in Nashville in a timely fashion. The court ordered the probation extended for a period of 90 days, although the state requested it to be extended one year. (violated probation) On August 25, 2006, Jones was arrested in Murfreesboro, Tennessee for disorderly conduct and public intoxication after claiming that a woman stole his wallet. She claimed that she did not steal anything and Jones spat on her. Police officers said they ordered Jones to leave several times, but he refused, continuing to shout profanities at the woman. A judge granted him six months probation on the conditions that he stays out of further trouble and away from the nightclub. On October 26, 2006. Jones was cited for misdemeanor assault for allegedly spitting in the face of a female student from Tennessee State University during a private party at Club Mystic, a Nashville nightclub. He was suspended by the Titans for one game and was scheduled to be booked on the charge on November 17, 2006. We all know about his recent one but Ill post some snip its. Becoming enraged when one of the dancers began taking the money without his permission, Jones grabbed her by her hair and slammed her head on the stage. A security guard intervened and scuffled with members of Jones' entourage of half a dozen people, during which time Jones allegedly bit the guard on the lower leg. Jones then allegedly threatened the guard's life. Some other athletes I wanted to put on this list are Zach Randolph, RMJ and a few others but it would be too big. I know Pacman may be released but he'll be picked up by someone. There are people that have done a lot worse thn Tank and havent had jail time.
  12. In his first season leading the Bears football staff, Angelo helped guide the team to its first division title in 11 years. He was handed the reins of the Chicago Bears football operations on June 12, 2001 as the team's first general manager since 1986 (Jerry Vainisi). Angelo has 37 years of football experience, including 20 as a NFL scout and 19 in the NFC North Division (includes 15 years in former NFC Central Division). He oversees the Bears entire football staff including football operations, personnel and coaching along with all decisions regarding the draft, free agency, trades and the salary cap. http://www.chicagobears.com/team/FrontOffi...ont_office_id=2
  13. They didnt have a GM before Slick since 1986
  14. As much as that would suck for us as Bear fans I dont think athletes should get passes on crimes because of who they are. That said, if they do put him in jail for this, Pacman and Ron Artest better be right behind him, along with half of the Bengals.
  15. Is Currie really that fast? I knew he was supposed to be fast, but it sounds like he was supposed to be Willie Gault.
  16. If we dont bring in a new back I guarantee you AP is gonna get decent playing time because of his blocking. Benson has the size and strength to block but the problem is he doesnt know how t read where the blitz is coming from. it could become a huge problem. He absolutely improved his rushing but made no improvement with his blocking. Nobody can honestly say he is even decent in blocking, hes terrible actually.
  17. Am I the only one who doesnt think its a good idea to go into next year with our only improvements being through the draft. I know we were lucky last year but its rare to have draft picks contribute their first year.
  18. Briggs benefits from Urlacher the same way Urlacher benefits from Harris.
  19. It hasnt been brought up in a while but everyone knows the window to win a Super Bowl with certain core of players is small and we are getting close to shutting that window. Benson may be the back we thought when we drafted him, but he also may not. His blocking is extremely poor on top of it. I just hope JA has something up his sleeve.
  20. We need to address OLB without Briggs. That is inevitable. We do not have anyone on our roster that should be starting at OLB right now.
  21. I know. I realize it makes sense, it just sucks that were gonna be thin at running back now. Like I said before, I hope we do something in free agency because regardless of how well we do in the draft our team is significantly weaker on both sides of the ball.
