  1. We better look at some free agents. Were losing our starting back and pro bowl linebacker. I dont want to rebuild in the draft.
  2. I cant say Im a big fan of this trade.
  3. We dont really need any type of burner or anything we just need someone with great and consistent hands. Stokely would be perfect and would probably have one of his better years here because he would be our constant third down threat. Im sure he wouldnt have 10 tds like he did in Indy though.
  4. Wow, this sucks. I absolutely see his points and would be just as upset though. Since he obviously insnt gonna be part of our future all we can hope for at this point is to get something comparable for him. I dont wanna give him away for nothing because teams know he wants out. If we lose him Id like to see us make a run at some free agent linebacker.
  5. It would be great to have that many picks but I dont think the Giants would want to do it because they have so many holes that need to be filled that they wouldnt want to lose all their draft picks and invest all that money in an outside linebacker.
  6. The Rams signed Drew Bennett
  7. We can address some of the needs in the draft but not all of them. I wouldnt be happy with going into the season next year and only having draft picks and a third or fourth string DT new to the roster. Its important to improve during the offseason or we will have trouble with our schedule. Im not saying we need to address all our needs through free agency but at least one or two that can have an immediate impact. I think Grossman needs a sure handed weapon who can come in and play immediately whether it be a third receiver or tight end. The last thing we need is more young safeties and receivers. We should use the draft to address mostly offensive line issues. As much as we all know our division is weak, one of those teams is bound to improve very soon and we may be sitting here treading water. I do agree that our number one priority should be resigning some of our free agents. We can address some of the needs in the draft but not all of them. 8. Daniel Graham Deon Grant Drew Bennett Ken Hamlin Kevin Curtis Stokely who's not on the list at least one of the offensive lineman. Im not talking about a bringing in a superstar, just solid players to fill some voids. We need youth on the o-line and a sure handed receiver. Also, a veteran safety would be ideal to platoon with the young guys.
  9. This gets me angry reading this. I know shouldnt be too discouraged because they were wrong about where Adalious Thomas and Clements went, but we can get some real help on offense. If we dont look at Graham and at least one possession receiver or offensive lineman will hurt us. Theres also a few good safeties we could look at. We definitely could use a veteran safety to platoon with Harris and Manning or in case Brown goes down. I just hope we arent content with where we are and only use the draft to better ourselves. With our schedule next year we need to improve or were gonna have bad seeding next year and a much harder road.
  10. Id rather see us bring in Brandon Stokely or Keenan McCardell. Those are two vets that have good hands and could play in the slot for us and be good possession guys. Id rather see a roster spot used on someonne proven then to continue to try to develop Currie.
  11. not to mention Bradley coming back healthy.
  12. This is great. I was getting sick of hearing about how cheap we were. Now lets focus on the draft and free agency.
  13. I think when its all said and done Stanton might be the best qb in this draft.
  14. I know theres a lot of criticism about the wonderlick and that Vince Young did poorly on it and still turned out ok but Id be very weary of someone who got sub 10 on it. Some of those questions are insanely easy and you dont have to be a genius to ace it. Its simple common sense which in most circumstances translates into a lot of aspects in life including football.
  15. Plummer makes sense for them. Hes a veteran who can stick around for a few years and hes mobile so he might survive their revolving offensive line.
  16. Brady Quinns having a pro day at Notre Dame right?
  17. Are the Texans gonna address their qb spot in the draft if they trade him? Theyll be back at square one. He isnt the problem there.
  18. I am very curious to see how this transpires. I actually think its very likely hes gonna hold out and well end up with getting an undervalued sign and trade. Probably like a second rounder or something.
  19. Ahman Green is also a free agent some teams would be willing to give a shot. Also, Dillon might be a quick fix for some team.
  20. Im trying to think of what teams were interested in him and i keep thinking the Colts and the jets
  21. I know it was before Rivera but thats relatively what they did with Colvin in a different scheme and our defesne was still good. But who are we gonna blitz. Right now all we can really do is send HH and I doubt that does much. We need Urlacher in pass coverage and Briggs for his run stuffing ability and coverage, blitzing either of them puts a hole in the middle of the field and if they dont get there we will get picked apart, especially against good qbs. IMO, the key to success in the cover two is good pressure from the line like you said. We can get tat if Harris is healthy, especially with the emergence of Anderson. We need better safety play as well. If we can keep the pieces in place we have ideal players for the cover two, but if our d-line starts losing pressure were gonna be in trouble.
  22. Like Ive said I want to keep him for next year. I also think hes gonna be severely disappointed when he tests the market but the main problem were gonna have is that we cant groom a young guy next year because were stocked at RB. Unless were gonna use AP as our change of pace back to Benson, which actually might work but its unknown what AP would do with more carries.
  23. From what team? As much as I think he helps our team Im not crazy. If we could of got a second and a third I would take that in a second. I wonder how accurate that is, I would think we would of heard about it.
  24. I just dont think its a good idea to trade him. We should ride him for one more year, use him the same way we have been and let him walk. If we werent gonna be competing for a Super Bowl next year Id say trade him for maybe the fourth rounder wed get for him and move on. But our team is better with him period, and I want the best team possible going into next year.
