  1. I think our d line has to get pressure on the qb without blitzing because of how thin we are in the secondary. I think our d line is good enough, even without Harris to dominate the trenches. We need to keep our defense off the field and give Rex a shot to prove him self and not just run it and let him throw on third and long situations. We need to contain Holt more then anything and not give up the big play. Let Jackson pick up his carries almost in a bend but dont break fashion and keep linebackers and safeties out there for pass help. Good playcalling and protecting the ball and keeping drives going. Continued good play by the special teams
  2. Rex and the offense will take this one on their back to cover for the defense.

  4. Maybe if anything they need to handcuff Rex and Turner together and have to be around each other 24 hours a day so they can learn about each other and figure out a good plan they can both deal with.
  5. Harris and Brown were huge defensive stars for our team and it sucks to lose them so lets hope our defense goes out and plays that much harder to make up for it like the champs they are.
  6. I made its own topic for this in around the NFL. Im glad we wont have to hear about he is the best in the NFL and that the Cowboys are the best in the NFC.
  7. Good Luck Rex!!!! Prove the critics wrong today!!! Go Bears!
  8. I agree. Rex is just as much to blame but the play calling wasnt making it any easier to work through it.
  9. If Rexs problem was mental, which IMO it is, this statement is gonna kill any chance of him succeeding this week. If he was thinking to much befre whas he gonna do knowing his playing time is on the line and he only has one half to prove himself. I wonder if its more he has to prove hes worthy of playing or dont mess up too much.
  10. It looks like my Yellow lab too. Only my yellow lab is much fatter.
  11. The Saints have been a good story this year but once they play a top tier team I think they will be exposed as pretenders.
  12. I agree. I think Rex is gonna come out and play well this week in the dome.
  13. Im pretty sur Urlacher is the most important player on our defense and has been since hes been drafted. Its a big hit though, I wouldnt call it a season ender though.
  14. Parrish signed with Dallas, our arch nemesis. Dont they have enough safeties that cant cover?
  15. Hes been demanding double teams all year and keeping guards off of Urlacher. This is a big loss. Its the second defensive probowler we have lost to injury.
  16. Where did you hear that? All I heard was is that its not season threatening.
  17. Wow, that commercial looked pretty low budget. i wonder why it was never on tv.
  18. That actually is pretty funny. I read one a few weeks back on tonyhomo.com. I think the blog might of gotten taken down but it was funny.
  19. Im sure there are a few guys around from when he was here that would lobby for him. Its pretty much the same defense and we need a run stopper at safety with Brown out and now Tommie Harris will be out too. He would be cheap. I say its worth a shot.
  20. I got through for Sox tickets, maybe lightning will strike twice.
  21. http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/SF/9852055 SANTA CLARA, Calif. (Dec. 5, 2006) -- The San Francisco 49ers waived safety Tony Parrish, who once started 121 consecutive games before falling out of favor this season. The 49ers released Parrish to make room for veteran linebacker Jay Foreman, who was signed to fill in while starting linebacker Derek Smith is out with a hamstring injury. Parrish, who played four seasons with Chicago before signing with the 49ers in 2002, started every game in his first seven and a half NFL seasons before breaking his leg midway through last year. He was a second-team All-Pro in 2003, when he tied for the league lead with nine interceptions. But Parrish lost his starting job in San Francisco to newcomer Mark Roman six weeks into this season, and was inactive in the 49ers' last three games. Parrish declined to criticize the 49ers despite his diminishing role behind Roman and Keith Lewis, who took the other starting safety job away from Mike Adams. "Tony is a model professional, and he influenced a lot of younger players with his work ethic," 49ers coach Mike Nolan said. "This was a tough decision to make at this time, but with the injuries we had at linebacker, we needed to bring in a player at that position." Foreman has played for Buffalo, Houston and the New York Giants in seven previous NFL seasons. Who knows what will happen with this but we could really use him back with Browns injury. Just speculation though.
  22. Even if he can play like he did those two weeks in the meadowlands we should be ok. I think hes got it in him and its almost 100% mental
