  1. Im fairly sure Madden is gonna hve some interesting observations.
  2. Lots of crazy games today. Hope this one is just a blowout.
  3. I suppose you could wait but this is just a little extreme. Im really sick of hearing about how good this guy is gonna be when he can absolutely never stay healthy.
  4. I think Lovie will get some carries for Benson this game but I dont think it will be anywhere near splitting time.
  5. Danny Golver needs to bulk up for this role
  6. Cut him, the end, if he proves hes healthy he might get work somewhere. Chicago draft picks that get strung along due to injury never pan out. I.E. Jay Willaims
  7. You havent heard about that? Some people have right?
  8. Theyll be used to the crowd noise, they pipe it into their stadium
  9. It does seem Lovie has something against him but this article hopefully is accurate. However, if Jones doesnt get anything going we need to platoon these guys because they all have different strengths. I think our short yardage passing game will open up the run because it will keep their linebackers honest.
  10. I cant think of them ever doing it either. The only circumstance I could think of them doing it would be Briggs but it still might be too expensive but he might get that in free agency. I cant really think of a player in recent history worth a franchise tag. With the closest candidate being maybe...Tony Parrish?
  11. Wow, thats great news. He really did deserve it but uts still suprising.
  12. I think they have to use him a little more this week. We dont want to put too much pressure on Rex to have to win a game in primetime against what most people say is the best team in the NFC. We need to be balanced and have their defense onthe field as much as possible.
  13. Smith downplays any Benson problem By John Mullin Tribune staff reporter September 27, 2006, 11:14 PM CDT Bears coach Lovie Smith addressed reports that running back Cedric Benson was suffering from an attitude problem after not playing in Sunday's victory at Minnesota. Benson was depicted as pouting as he left the field. Not so, Smith said Wednesday. Click here to find out more! "There is some inaccurate information coming out about whether we're disappointed in him, the reasons why he didn't play this past week," a clearly irritated Smith said. "Cedric Benson practiced very well last week, is doing everything we've asked him to do right now and he's a big part of what we're going to do around here. I couldn't be more pleased with how he's handling being behind a good player in Thomas Jones. Hopefully, this week we'll get him some more playing time." Few young Bears have had anything approaching the difficult mercurial stint in Chicago that Benson has had in barely a year. The No. 4 pick of the 2005 draft began last season with a protracted contract impasse and suffered a knee injury halfway through his first start. He had a strong off-season in which he was installed as the starter beginning training camp, only to lose his job when Jones returned from his hamstring injury before Benson came back from a shoulder separation. Benson calmly insisted Wednesday that "I was excited about the win [over Minnesota]. I know that it's going to turn; it's just a matter of time. I was excited to be part of a team right then. "I'm just going to be patient on that and let it work itself out and make great things happen when it does come." My goodness Forget about Seattle's wide receivers. Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren, who knows some things about receivers, paused Wednesday in his coach-speak admiration of the Bears' offense to note, "I really like their receivers. My goodness, I really like their receivers." Identity crisis Offensive coordinator Ron Turner, who has fielded questions about the whereabouts of the running game, was asked if the Bears run the ball well, would he expect to be answering queries about his passing offense next? "I'm sure we would," he said laughing. "Last year that was all I ever heard about: 'When are you going to throw the ball?'" Extra points Safety Chris Harris (ankle) is listed as questionable but practiced Wednesday. Wide receiver Mark Bradley (ankle) and tight end Desmond Clark (foot) are questionable and did not practice. … The Bears signed linebacker Brandon Hoyte to the practice squad. Hoyte, a rookie out of Notre Dame, was waived by the Colts on Sept. 2.
  14. I dont know. I would imagine the only way for us to ever be at number one is if we were the last undefeated team. The media doesnt seem to like the Bears.
  15. Theres really nothing you can do in situations like that. When people have beliefs like this they are steadfast in them. No matter how insane it seems and how many times that kid would of tried to stand up and fallen they will stick to their guns. I dont like to criticize other peoples beliefs but to me it seems insane in some circumstances.
  16. If we beat the Seahawks I would hope we would move up but who knows.
  17. More then likely its a scheme to keep the coaches on their toes so they have to make 2 gameplans. I dont think it will work.
  18. It would be a monumental mistake for him to play in this game when their bye week is coming up next. I dont think it would matter though because he wouldnt be 100%
  19. With the exception of Branch maybe, hes got some wheels.
  20. A lot of people have been saying they might be better without Alexander now and thats just insane to me. Ithink most teams, us included, will have no problem staying in nickle and dime packages the whole game and forcing Morris to beat them. If he was good enoguh to do that he would be starting somewhere.
  21. People can also say thats been the success of our passing game which so far may be true. We still have pretty much 3 capable running backs and if teams have to focus on stopping the run and the pass it will keep them honest.
  22. i think people are overlooking the fact that the main reason for the success of their passing game was because teams were scheming against Alexander. teams wont have to do that anymore.
