  1. Wow, is this for real? Do you have a link? Yeah, here it is, this is crazy. they better never put a Bear on the cover of Madden! http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2602571
  2. We really are gonna need to get pressure on Hassleback, they have four capable receivers and were not gonna be able to double because we need to stop the run first and foremost. The younger guys all seem to be getting better though.
  3. If we are either winning or close in a game I wouldnt mind seeing this. If they both could get like 18 yards per carry we would eat the clock for the whole game and really wear down defenses. Then when they start stacking the line we let Rex have at the tired secondary. I know the play your talking about where even the announcer siad Jones broke his ankles. I just want t see some consistency from our backs.
  4. I remember tseeing something like this 2 years ago and it was one of the funnies threads I have seen in a long time. SO I ask the question. Who would play the Bears in a movie. Feel free to add your thoughts
  5. Do you have sunday ticket? My bro lives in LA and says he cant find anwhere to watch the games.
  6. I saw one play. Im not sure when it was but it was an inside run to the left and Jones weakness hitting the whole on theat one play was the first time I actually wanted Cedric Beanson to get a shot. It tells me weve seen the best of Jones and it may be shot for Benson to get more carries. Not start, just get out there and contribute. Thats the only was hes gonna get his teammates back on his side.
  7. Bears vs. Vikings: Game notes September 25, 2006 NEW FAN In past years, there seemed to be more animosity than camaraderie between the Bears' defensive unit and their struggling offense. But Brian Urlacher said he's become a fan of the offense this season and was seen standing on the sidelines watching Rex Grossman direct the Bears to a fourth-quarter field goal that cut Minnesota's lead to 13-12. HIT HIM Muhsin Muhammad turned in his second 100-yard receiving day with the Bears, but with 11:27 left in the fourth quarter he was seen swinging his arms in anger after Rex Grossman failed to get him the ball. Muhammad was open near the Vikings' 10-yard line, but Grossman was sacked for a four-yard loss. HORSE FEATHERS Alex Brown was hit with an unnecessary-roughness penalty for a horse-collar tackle with 2:49 left in the second quarter. Brown grabbed Minnesota running back Mewelde Moore by the back of the shoulder pads while making the stop. That style of tackle during an open-field play was outlawed May 23, 2005, after it resulted in six serious injuries, including one to former Eagles receiver Terrell Owens. The rule was known as the ''Roy Williams Rule,'' because Cowboys safety Roy Williams was involved in four of the six serious injuries. Fox analysts Tony Siragusa and Darryl Johnston did not believe Brown should have been penalized. SORE LOSER Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield was short-tempered Sunday, even after making the shortest interception return for a touchdown in Vikings history. He had little to say in the postgame locker room despite having scored the first touchdown of his eight-year career. His interception of a Rex Grossman pass intended for Thomas Jones and subsequent seven-yard touchdown return put the Vikings ahead 13-9 and looked for a while like it would be the game's decisive play. But the Bears rallied to win, and Winfield wasn't in the mood for chit-chat afterward. "You guys didn't talk to me after the first two games," he said, "so why should I talk to you now?" The previous Vikings' record for shortest pick returned for a score was 14 by linebacker Wally Hilgenberg against the Packers in 1972. OVER THE HUMP DOME The Bears won in the Metrodome for the first time since 2001. Since the Vikings moved from often-frigid Metropolitan Stadium into their indoor home in 1982, the Bears are 15-11 in Minnesota, including a 35-18 first-round playoff victory in 1994. EAR ACHES The Bears' comeback victory wasn't the first indignity heaped on Vikings fans this season, according to columnist Tom Powers of the St. Paul Pioneer Press: ''These poor folks have been subjected to some serious discomfort during the first few games,'' Powers wrote. ''There's the undecipherable new theme song, 'Bring in the Horns,' that invariably is greeted by a resounding shrug. And even that isn't nearly as annoying as the teased-hair blonde chirping into the microphone during breaks in the action. Our new in-game 'host and hostess' are slightly less pleasant than a couple of root canals. A talk show during an NFL football game? Bad idea I think what Antoine Winfield said after the game can sum up how class hes is. If they would have outplayed they would have won a close game like that.
  8. I agree. Id like t see this guy do something. Were never gonna know if this guy is even anygood. He should of got some carries at least in this game.
  9. Even when he retires theyre still gonna be bad for a while so I dont completely blame them for stucking with Favre, but not playing Rogers at all is gonna extrememely prolongue the process. They wont contend for years to come
  10. Good analysis. It seems like people are off the Grossman bandwagon almost. He made a great play on a win on the road in the fourth quarter. Thats big.
  11. Great job today. Wasnt the easiest of games but its a W. One of the hardest games on our schedule IMO
  12. Anytime you go into your division rivals dome and theyre undefeated and you have a comeback win in the fourth quarter you should be happy. Most of us knew it wasnt gonna be a clean game so a win is a win. I think we are gonna take it to Seattle hard though.
  13. I disagree. The team stepped up when it needed to. The touchdown drive was what put the final points on the bard. This was a huge step in Rexs maturation
  14. Even though he didnt have a great game. It was good to see a comeback. Thats something we havneet seen in Chicago in a while. A win is a win. Esoecially in this dome. Minnesota is a good team.
  15. Defense isnt gonna be shown up, they want a td too
  16. . This is a big series for Grossman. He has played poorly today, a TD will make him a hero
