I havent heard Rex complain at all. As far as a fair shot, he didnt get one. When he resigned he was told him and Orton would be on a level playing field for the job and that wasnt the case. There isnt anyone to blame but JA though. Lovie couldnt choose Rex, that doesnt make it fair though.

At this point it would have been suicide for Lovie to hand the job to Rex. Lovie has to know how bad the line is, and if he handed Rex the job and he failed his job could be in jeopardy. Orton is the safer and easier choice. Rex would have had to win the job.

This is how I feel. I would have liked Grossman to get a fair shake but theres no way it could happen with the o line. I hope they do something about it for both QBs benefit. I think Orton can do a good job though.

wow, not a snake draft, thats messed up. Id keep Welker or Thomas Jones before Holt. Welker would be my guy actually. Sucks to take him as a virtual second rounder, but with Stallworth being gone he is gonna get 100, 1000, 10 for sure I think.

Holt? You dont have a top 5 qb or top 5-7 rb? I like Wayne though, I think he is going to have by far his best season.

Julian Peterson and Patrick Kerney are a little harder to avoid then whoever was in in the 4th quarter. Orton will win the job, but Grossman didnt get a fair shake. I would like to see what both guys can do with blocking, not what one can do with blocking and what one can do with two of the best pass rushers in his face within 2 seconds.

How exactly would we have paid for all these guys? We would have no cap room and no draft picks and a bunch of overpriced guys. They needed to bring in Faneca and take Otah in the first because he fits our style of play better. I like Forte in the second but I also wouldnt have minded Brohm there, but thats it for QBs. I like extended our guys if they brought in Faneca and drafted an OT. I like the KJ pick up as well. I dont care if its McNabb, Anderson, Pennington, Warner or whoever playing qb. Brady would get killed behind our line, that should have been more of a priority.

Harrison we knew was a steal, he was supposed to have character issues and thats why he slipped. Ill admit, I didnt like the Davis pick at the time, I still think we needed more o line picks before we went TE or corner though but between the three guys we have theres a lot of potential at TE. I still want to see more of Olsen though.

KJ has an upside for you. Id go around and possibly pick up some hand cuffs that people overlooked, like Sproles.

This is my thought as well. There is no possible way, knowing that Williams is going to be gone for an extended amount of time that an NFL executive could think this line will hold up during the season. They have to be shopping for a guard and a tackle now. If they arent and the season goes the way we all think, JA might be in trouble.

That would be a monster team in a 10 team league. Im not sure how it would apply to an 8 man but it looks good.

We should hire another GM and let JA handle defense and have a new guy who is good at evaluating offensive talent come in.

Exactly. When you trot Hester onto the field after he hasnt played all game at WR, thats a tell. When Benson was in their and all of a sudden AP comes in on 2nd and 5, thats a tell. At least with Forte we have a 3 down guy so if we want to run a screen pass we dont have to change personnel.

Also, if you dont carry back up kickers and DST you can hoard WRS/RBS/QBS to use as trade bait.

Also. Grossman actually isnt that bad and Orton is terrible. Hester is actually a very good WR and they seem to have made returning a lot harder.
