  1. Rather have the Bears go 0-16 than sign Favre? Wow. I might not have liked him when he was on Green Bay but I respected the hell out of him. If he went to us or the Vikings he instantly makes that team the favorite in the division. Like I said before, as long as its not some scumbag like Pacman Jones I would want to add any player that makes our team better and gives us a better chance to win. I dont see how anyone wouldnt. How can you rather have the Bears go 0-16 than to sign a guy who makes them contenders in the NFC immediately? Its not like he trashes our organization or anything either, you guys just hate him because he played well against us in the past.

    My Team

Culpepper would get eaten alive here. Hes terrible.
  3. Considering he isnt a trouble maker and would make the team better I dont know why anyone wouldnt want him.
  4. Exactly, they base it on what will make them the most money. Theres a reason why even when the Cubs were terrible their odds were still high to win the World Series. They use betting trends to account for a lot of the lines.
  5. After hearing Kiper say Hanie would be our starter in the end i figured Hill would be the odd man out.
  6. Goodell is being an ass about it and giving Favre more power than the Packers which is BS considering they own his rights. But even if they release him it wont be unconditional, there would be a stipulation that he cant sign with an NFC North team.
  7. Bennett is my first choice, he is gonna be a stud. If not him, Bowman.
  8. No way the Packers release Favre, they would let him be the back up and pay him before they let him sign with the Vikings.
  9. I hope so. Thats what both guys ran in college I believe. Ive heard Kruetz was the one who held it up.
  10. With proper coaching Hester can be the same threat as Berrian on top of his return ability.
  11. Grossman throws that route as well as any QB in the league. When it boils down to it Grossman can zip an out to the sideline with the best of them. If Grossman can continue to step up in the pocket the job will be his. We need to see them play some preseason games first though.
  12. He obviously wanted more than he had earned as a WR and since there has never been a returner as good as him there is nothing more to base it on. Its a lot to pay but he demands a lot of money because of his unique skill.
  13. I was gonna mention a few days ago, I think a decent contract to compare what we should have given him would be what Randel El got.
  14. I agree. I loved that pick. He is the exact type of guy we needed.
  15. The only offensive player I could think of that would be offended by that would be Benson, since hes gone, anyone else should be embarrassed for themselves if they are.
  16. I think Glenn might be the poster boy for the exact opposite type of WR we need right now.
  17. This is pretty much what I think about it. Ill add though, if Orton had a stronger arm than Grossman than Grossman wouldnt have seen the field the past 3 years. Grossmans arm is what has kept his job for him. The tools that Orton has shown, ball control, pocket presence, decision making is what Grossman has lacked. As far as throwing the ball farther, that doesnt have anything to do with being a quarterback. Basically, what it boils down to, Grossman, with protection and weapons could run a high powered offense. Orton can keep the team in games with ball control and game management but if the defense fails he wont be able to score quick points. If our line and weapons suck like they did last year Orton would be better suited to be the QB. If our line is improved, Jones and Forte can revamp the running game and the new faces at WR are an upgrade and the development of the TEs continues Grossman would be the better fit.
  18. I liked the look of Rex to Hass. A sure handed receiver would be nice to have around here.
  19. Theres not a chance in hell Ortons arm is stronger than Grossman. Thats like saying Rex is taller than Kyle.
  20. Top 10 in Madden? Are you insane? They dont have a QB, WR or RB over 80. A revolving door at OL. No dominant speed rushers and no speed at safety. Theyre defense will be solid but they lack two important aspects of Madden. This is actually one of the worst teams the Bears have had in Madden for a long time.
  21. Im guessing something along the lines of, both quarterbacks are looking great, Hester looks like a legit number one WR, Mike Brown has extra spring in his step and Forte and Jones both look great and will battle for the starting job.
  22. Well considering hes getting paid for what he does on the field and not in his personal life it shouldnt matter. Im assuming you think the same way about every player thats ever held out, or is it just ones that you dont agree with them having children out of wed lock?
