Ya I didnt add Booker because I dont think he has much of a future here. Hes more of a temporary stop gap. Bennett sounds like he might be similar to Booker when he was younger but with a higher ceiling.

I can see being upset about drafting a TE and CB before getting our second offensive lineman but I dont understand why everyone would want to draft a project quarterback who absolutely isnt going to play when we had so many other needs that when addressed can come right in and contribute.

Our WR corps was a big problem going into this draft but I must say I am very pleased with this pick. I know a lot of us would have preferred Doucet but I think Bennett is exactly the type of WR we needed. Good hands, good route runner, tough, not afraid to go over the middle, good blocker. Thats exactly what we needed. We have our burners in Hester and Bradley and we have our bigger targets for the most part in Olsen and Clark, or even Monk or that other TE we drafted but we needed a guy like this. I heard him compared to Hines Ward a few times and thats exactly what we need. Jay Cutler was also lobbying hard for the Broncos to go after him because of the success they had together at Vandy. If Grossman wins the job its safe to say he is similar to Cutler at least style wise and it will be good to have a sure handed option on third downs besides CLark.

Forte isnt exactly a back that compliments Benson. He was brought in to either push Benson over the hump or to take his job, not to be the lightning to his thunder.

If he didnt have that neckbeard he would be a 6th or 7th rounder if he was drafted at all.

I would have liked to get Brohm but everyone is going way overboard with this. Anybody that thought we would address QB early in this draft must have been delusional. Whether WE agree with it or not it is very obvious the front office is content with the QB position. Every time someone was predicting us getting a QB early on here I tried to point out the reasons why we wouldnt and everyone thought it was insane to think that. To save anyone the effort, Im not saying I dont think we should have gotten a QB, Im saying it was obvious we wouldnt draft one.

I was reading about him today. He has some pretty insane numbers. Two years with over 2700 rushing yards. I think he had the 2nd fastest 40 time out of everyone this year and also did very well on the other drills.

I wouldnt call making a joke about Clarks eye flipping out. I disagree with the pick but I dont think its that big of a deal. I also never said they were trying to push him out. You read way too far into that post.

I want an O lineman too. We are much more likely to land a lineman that will contribute now than a qb.

Exactly. Getting a true LT which opens the door to move Tait back to his original position makes our offensive line worlds better. We basically just upgraded two positions. I dont like the Forte pick as much though.

Understatement of the year. They could have went WR there and gotten a RB of the same caliber with one of their third rounders.

What else would we have to give up? A 2nd or 3rd? If so that might be too much for me to want to move up. Unless they have a guy on their boards they are salivating for that is there unexpectedly I doubt they would make a move like this.

This is a rough situation for the Bengals. The main reason they dont want to trade him is because they have basically paid the bulk of the money in the contract. Like others have said teams dont like giving power to the players to do this stuff. However, if hes going to create all these problems take the 2 first rounders and move on.

Maybe the Saints should try to upgrade their defense before trading draft picks for more offensive players.

Despite ME liking Grossman you have to figure JA and Lovie are at least mildly content with Grossman and Orton at this point. They are both young and have both had success. I especially think they want to give them a better line and weapons before they completely move on and start over at the position. Even a new qb wont do anything without any weapons.

I think qb is like 4th on their list of offensive needs. They should get an OG, RB and WR before a QB.
