Ive warmed to Mendenhall lately but there isnt a chance he goes before McFadden. Mendenhalls sample of work is too small for anyone to think he is a guarantee. IMO there isnt a chance he is better than McFadden of has a better career then him either.

Everyone arguing about taking an OL or RB in the first round realizes that it is a total chicken and egg situation and we absolutely need help at both positions. However, a good offensive line can make a back look better but a good back wont make an o line better. We are a tackle and guard away from having an above average offensive line.

Well even if we dont pick high enough to get Tebow next year we might be able to lure Eric Crouch here via free agency.

I agree that Williams would have been a bigger bust but he more than likely would have been gone before last year and we wouldnt be financially committed to him the same way you are with a running back.

You dont need to convince me. i absolutely think they have to go with OL with the first pick. I actually think it almost has to be a LT or even a LG, Im just curious if the Bears will go that route. FOr the record. I was very upset about the Benson pick.

I agree about having to address OL first and foremost but I wouldnt put it past us to go after a RB if he is high on JAs board which Mendenhall might be. He said he was going to bring in competition for Benson so it could be a first round RB.

Kick returner isnt really a position you need to be real smart to play at. Offensive lineman, Qbs etc have to think on the fly a lot more where a guy like Hester just goes and lets his natural instincts take over. I

They interviewed him on sirius today while I was at work and I was impressed with his interview. They also had Pete Carrol on and he made it sound like he was one of the best backs hes faced in a long time. If we went that route we would have to go O line in the second and first third rounder.

Ya, I remember on PS2 last year that there was no blocking for punt returns and the gunners on the outside always got there to quick. On ps3 they fixed that glitch, however online and even against the CPU they will kick it out of bounds a lot.

Are you talking about kick returns? I dont know if its different on systems, I play on PS3 but you have plenty of room. Like the other guy said if you use the truck stick Hester does all kinds of crazy stuff. Also, follow your blocking and wait for holes to develop. Hester is so fast he can outrun his blockers.

Bringing in any new WRs to compete to play cant hurt. D Jack wouldnt be my first choice but he is the best out there now. I woulnt look at it as a solution but its an upgrade.
