  1. Johnson is one guy we should definitely be going after at this point. Berrian is all but gone and some of the other wr FAs have already signed.
  2. I wouldnt mind going after him on the cheap
  3. Nobody is gonna trade for him but at least we know we dont have to deal with him next year. He sucked pretty hard.
  4. Anybody that thinks that paying Berrian that kind of money a good idea is out of their mind. I would rather have Stallworth for that kind of money.
  5. Theres a lot more to this than quarterbacks. Its no secret the Bears havent found a career QB since most of us have been alive but the offense as a whole has been garbage as well. Since Payton our best running back was Thomas Jones. Who are the best receivers theyve had Booker? Berrian? Marcus Robinson? Finding the next "Tom Brady" wont do anything until they fix the other problems.
  6. I dont think he has done as bad as people make him out to be either. He was in a difficult position last year after Brown went down. Manning does better when he takes a back seat to a better safety. When he has to step up and anchor the secondary he cracks.
  7. The main problem I have with him is that with his stock rising he is going to be taken a lot earlier than when we would have wanted to draft a QB and he would ultimately be our Marquee draft pick as opposed to a complimentary one to whatever we took in the first round. That s a big risk to take for a guy like him because the competition he was playing against was nothing spectacular, I know theyre not terrible but it would be interesting to see what he could do against better teams. He couldnt get on the field at Pitt...
  8. Are there any WRs that could warrant being taken at 14 instead of going OT? I think it might be an interesting idea because of the depth at OL in the draft and the large number of good FAs considering how slim pickings WR is right now.
  9. Millen trading a talent like Williams to a team in the same division would seem like a fireable offense but in Detroit it might get him an extension.
  10. Bigby is a free agent? I would love to get that guy. I noticed him during the playoffs and he was laying people out.
  11. If the numbers worked out I would love this move. That would give us a much clearer objective in the draft if we dont have to worry about addressing safety.
  12. Id be weary of a guy who comes from a smaller school and only came on in popularity at the end of the season. Thats a huge gamble if a team takes him real early.
  13. Not a chance in hell MB3 hits free agency. Also, Jamal Lewis already resigned.
  14. Ya with the exception of Olsen, that was the biggest no brainer of the whole draft last year.
  15. That draft makes too much sense for it to happen
  16. Im a big fan of this move. Clark has been our most consistent receiving threat the past few years. Hes also a good run blocker.
  17. My point is that its not as easy as hiring a talent evaluator and then drafting studs. I never said Grossman was a stud but he is the "shiniest turd" in your eyes. Your solution is to hire someone to evaluate talent? Did it ever cross your mind that that might be easier said than done? Well the reports tonight are that the Bears have resigned Grossman, I hope thats not the case for your sake. Out of curiosity? What are your thoughts on resigning Berrian? Wanna talk about the " shiniest turd" I hope you hate him to or you simply are a hypocrite.
  18. Im telling you guys this guy is for real. I saw him in person torch COD in a game.
  19. The key to your post is the "O" in IMO.
  20. Even though theyre not desperate for a QB I think Minnesota is a good fit for him. Parcells wont want him in Miami though. Im sure Drew Bledsoe will be there soon...
  21. I really think theyre gonna resign him long term. I know it was just talk but even Brady said if Moss is gone hes gone. I think they just didnt tag him because they are pretty confident he will want to return because of the possibility for success.
  22. What in gods name does Rex Grossman have to do with David Carr?
  23. Ok, I got it. Youre idea is to find talent evaluators that have the ablility to find quality talent. You know what, we better keep this a secret so no other teams jump all over this. After that we can find some talent evaluators for the defensive side of the ball than we will have the most talent in the league. Wow, the whole time I thought we needed stuff like line help but it turns out we just need someone to evaluate offensive talent and then were set. Maybe we should get this info over to John Paxson and Kenny Williams too. We can just tell them to hire people to evaluate talent and then we will succeed. Also, out of curiosity, which QB of the Bears would you say has been the best since the late 90s? Im sure you werent one of the people calling for Ortons head in 05 because we know how patient you are at letting players develop. So who was it, Kordell? Matthews? Moreno? McNown? Chandler? Krenzel?
