  1. I like the Pats but I dont think they will cover the 14. It appears Rivers, LT and Gates are all playing.
  2. Im sure everybody agrees that we need more skill position players but without improving the offensive line they wont be able to do anything either. Ive been on board saying they need new WRs and a RB for a while but there isnt anyone out there were gonna be able to get that is going to be able to overcome the o line issues we have.
  3. I think AA had more to do with us trading away Harris...
  4. I definitely see us taking a WR at some point but i really doubt it would be with our first or second rounders. We need our first two picks to be able to step in and contribute immediately and WRs rarely do. There also arent too many high profile guys in the draft worth gambling on. I really think we are gonna go o line and than something on defense, either safety or DT.
  5. Offensive lineman may not be exciting to draft but they can have just as big an impact as any other position and that is where the Bears need the most help. With the exception of Phillips falling to us I think O line should be a slam dunk pick.
  6. Ya Danny Manning is bad. He hasnt been the same since he left the Suns.
  7. If Mike Brown is healthy they are fine at safety. With MB out there Manning is more than suitable to shore up the secondary. The problem is you simply cant go into next season counting on MB.
  8. It is much easier for an offensive lineman to adjust to the NFL than a qb. In fact, qb is by far the hardest position to progress in. How often do you see a qb immediately have an impact like Thomas this year.
  9. I never thought this was a good idea. If I was a season ticket holder i would be pissed.
  10. There havent been many details about what happened but if he was even in a strip club he might have some kind of mental issues.
  11. I said I dint like his playcalling but that list of players isnt very impressive. The Bears have an absolute terrible offensive line. Tons of drops from the WRs. Three different qbs. Not one legitimate number one running back. Their best offensive weapon is Dez Clark, what do you expect. I love that you added Davis and Bradley like they are supposed to make some kind of difference.
  12. Woman alleges Adam 'Pacman' Jones punched her at Atlanta strip club NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A woman is seeking an arrest warrant against suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones, claiming he punched her at an Atlanta strip club. Fulton County Magistrate Court officials told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Wanda S. Jackson asked for the warrant after a Jan. 3 altercation at the Body Tap Strip Club. Jackson, an attorney, says in her filing that she was in the club's office when an angry Jones accused managers of stealing his money and bracelet. "I was sitting in the office and he lunged at me numerous times in an effort to do grave bodily harm," Jackson wrote in the warrant application filed Jan. 7. "Veronica Jones, an owner, went into the hall to deal with a member of his entourage. I followed to gawk. He was in the hall, surprisingly reached over or around a security guard and sucker punched me in my left eye." Jackson told police the next day she was at the club because she was handling a divorce case that involved Adam Jones. No one could be reached Tuesday afternoon at the club's listed phone number. "Mr. Jones, according to Ms. Jackson, was at the Body Tap Club and she and Mr. Jones got into an argument at the club and Mr. Jones struck Ms. Jackson in the left eye, causing a bruise around her left eye," according to the police report. Jackson did not immediately return a phone message requesting comment. Jones' attorney Manny Arora said no warrant has been issued against his client. Norris Arnold, a court support manager for Fulton County, said a magistrate judge will review Jackson's application on Feb. 8 to determine whether the warrant will be filed. Last month, Jones pleaded no contest to a disorderly conduct charge related to a strip club shooting in Las Vegas that left club manager Tommy Urbanski paralyzed. Also Tuesday night, the NFL filed a motion in Nevada to be dismissed from a lawsuit by Urbanski. A judge already dismissed the Titans from the suit last Wednesday, saying the team couldn't be responsible for Jones' actions at the Minxx Gentleman's Club last Feb. 19. The lawsuit filed Oct. 19 sought unspecified damages from Jones, the NFL, the Titans and the owners of Harlem Knights, a Houston strip club that rented the Las Vegas club for the party the night of the shooting, during NBA All-Star weekend. A hearing for the NFL's motion is scheduled for Feb. 20 in Clark County District Court. Clark County District Attorney David Roger said the new accusations could affect his criminal case against Jones. With his plea, Jones agreed to a year probation, random drug testing, community service and anger management classes. "We have negotiated with Mr. Jones in exchange for his assistance in an attempted murder case. This doesn't help his case if he is found guilty," Roger told The Associated Press on Tuesday. Jones has been arrested six times since being drafted sixth overall in 2005, including two arrests in Georgia in 2006 that the Titans did not learn about until 2007. Jones was suspended for the 2007 season by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in April. "As we have said throughout his suspension, we will not comment on Adam Jones until he is reinstated by the commissioner," the Titans said in a statement Tuesday afternoon. Jones was allowed to go to the Titans' headquarters once their season ended with an AFC wild-card loss in San Diego on Jan. 6. But the NFL plans to review his status following the Pro Bowl. Associated Press writer Harry R. Weber in Atlanta contributed to this report.
  13. After spending Tuesday interviewing with the Baltimore Ravens regarding the team's head coaching vacancy, the Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator was offered the position, reports NFL Network's Adam Schefter. Garrett spent more than six hours interviewing with the Ravens, who preferred not to let Garrett leave without signing a contract. Garrett, however, followed his time in Baltimore with a flight to Atlanta, where he will discuss the Falcons' head coaching position that has been offered to him by team owner Arthur Blank. Meanwhile, the Cowboys view Garrett as a future head coach and are willing to match any salary that is offered by Atlanta or Baltimore to remain Dallas' offensive coordinator, giving the upstart coach a third viable option. Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett joined the Dallas coaching staff prior to the 2007 season. The 41-year-old Garrett was the first person to receive a second interview for the Baltimore job, which became open when owner Steve Bisciotti fired Brian Billick on Dec. 31. "I had a really productive day today," Garrett said on Tuesday. "I'm going to continue through this process I'm in right now, and at some point we'll make some decisions on both sides." Garrett met with Bisciotti, Ravens president Dick Cass and general manager Ozzie Newsome. Ravens spokesman Kevin Byrne said, "We had a good day of interviews. It's the start of the second round. We have more interviews for the second round later on in the week." Newsome declined comment, and Bisciotti was not made available. Newsome will be out of town Wednesday, and interview sessions could resume as soon as Thursday. "It was a great day. I had a chance to start this process last week, and was excited to come back and visit again," Garrett said. "It's been an exciting time for me to be here." Garrett has attracted interest from the Ravens because of his success in Dallas. Garrett directed an attack that ranked second in the NFL with 455 points in his first season as the architect of the Cowboys' offense. Quarterback Tony Romo set franchise records with 36 touchdown passes and 4,211 yards passing. The Ravens, meanwhile, are looking to cure a stagnant offense that ranked 22nd in total yardage and was 24th with 17.2 points per game this season. In nine years under Billick, the Ravens never ranked higher than 14th in total offense. Dallas was third in total offense this season, averaging 365.7 yards per game. But the Cowboys averaged only 10.5 points in their final four games, including a 21-17 playoff loss to the New York Giants on Sunday that took the luster off Dallas' 13-3 record during the regular season. Garrett began his second interview with Baltimore on Monday night. He arrived at the team's training complex on Tuesday morning with his wife, Brill, and spent much of the day negotiating a deal. Garrett has connections to members of the search committee. He and Cass are Princeton graduates. And Garrett's father, Jim Garrett, coached vice president of football administration Pat Moriarty, when Moriarty was with the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens are also interested in Philadelphia Eagles secondary coach John Harbaugh, who was a finalist for the UCLA job that went to former Ravens offensive coordinator Rick Neuheisel. The Ravens have also interviewed Indianapolis Colts assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach Jim Caldwell; Cowboys assistant head coach Tony Sparano, who is also a candidate for the Miami Dolphins' opening; former Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan, who's a strong candidate for the Falcons' job and is expected to get a second interview with Atlanta; New York Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer and Harbaugh. Garrett was a quarterbacks coach for two seasons with the Miami Dolphins before spending last season with Dallas. He was hired by Cowboys owner Jerry Jones last year before the team hired Wade Phillips as head coach.
  14. I havent been too happy with Turners play calling and even his offensive packages but at the same time he has jack shit to work with. I wouldnt mind a new coordinator but if we can bring in some talent we would benefit from running the same offense as opposed to everyone having to learn a new system.
  15. Ya, two years ago they got LeCHarles Bently and this past offseason they got Eric Steinbach. They have a very good, very expensive offensive line.
  16. Im not too sure about his track record. That offense regressed horribly this year and he didnt do anything to bring VY along.
  17. While we do need talent at the skill positions everything starts with the line. If you have a strong line youre running back becomes better, your qb becomes better and your wrs become better. I agree, which Ive said numerous times, we are in a big predicament at WR. We more than likely are going to have to overpay Berrian and then are gonna end up with virtually the same guys as this year. I think if we can add one WR that is a third down threat that we can trust to hang on to the ball and move the chains it would do wonders for our offense. Or even if Olsen can turn into that guy. Our qb needs a bail out target, especially with the current offensive line. Id like to see us add offensive line help with our first pick, unless something amazing falls to us, and in FA. I am really keen on the Faneca idea.
  18. I agree completely. It doesnt surprise me to hear about shit like that on E! or whatever but to hear football analyst and legitimate sports guys making a big deal out of this was ridiculous. I dont blame Romo for getting edgy with the media. He has handled the media very well considering how often he is in there but this is such a non issue and it keeps getting dragged on and on when it has no impact on the game.
  19. I dont think the Packers are a shoe in to win the NFC. The Giants have been on fire lately. It doesnt really matter, whichever team comes from the AFC is gonna win the Super Bowl. Yes, I know the Packers beat San Diego...
  20. Thats actually about identical to what I would like except maybe have Brohm dropped to the end and not have Ryan on the list.
  21. Atlanta is one of the few teams that is in a position where they should absolutely go BPA, but RB is the only position where they have anything that resembles talent at besides tight end. Also, there isnt gonna be much out there FA wise for QBs and there is for RBs. So if they really needed an RB it would be easier to get one in free agency than a qb. I would be shocked to see any one of the qbs they had this year as the starter on opening day.
