  1. They should let Urlacher decide where he wants to play. He is still performing at a high level and if he wants to stay at MLB he should.
  2. Dont get me wrong, I love going to Bears games, but what a terrible game to go to. Its gonna be freezing and wet and neither team is really playing for much. The Saints still have a very outside chance I guess.
  3. That may be so...but JA had the intuition to draft Wolfe in the third round so nobody else could him, so I think we are right up there with Indy.
  4. Between Manning, Harrison, Freeney and Sanders Indy has a lot o huge contracts Something interesting I heard about Indy on the radio the other day...all 22 starters have played their whole careers in Indy. Thats pretty crazy.
  5. I dont think in this situation he should have been suspended or anything. As a male, if someone puts you in a chokehold like that you are gonna have a negative reaction. For all he knew it could have been a guy on the other team doing it. I more than likely would have done the same thing.
  6. It would be insane to take a qb in the first round when they have about 4-5 more needs that are significantly greater right now.
  7. This isnt like hes gonna be negotiating with one team and they are gonna use this to leverage him. Theres gonna be a handful of teams lining up to overpay for him and if some team wants a discount because he sat out this game him and Rosenhaus will move on to the next suitor.
  8. I dont think theres much of anything that can happen in this game that is going to drastically effect his value. Who cares what Williams does. Were playing against a dome team, down to their third running back who is pretty much all but eliminated from the playoffs. Williams play is in too small of a window in shitty weather for it to make people second guess Briggs' talent. This exact situation is why players dont like to be franchised. He has to go out and try to boost his value at less than 100% and if he gets seriously injured, thats it...
  9. Also, most peoples concern with him was his durability. Even though it wasnt serious, he couldnt even manage to go through the whole season without getting hurt.
  10. Wanna know what would be fun, if the Giants waited to play their starters until the second half. Then the Patriots will have a huge first half and more than likely rest their starters, or until Brady and Moss break their individual records. Then put in your guys in the second half and see how close, if at all, you can come to getting the game close.
  11. 3 first round picks? LOL Teams werent even willing to give up 2nd rounders for Alexander or Edge a few years ago and someone thinks teams are gonna bend over to get a guy who was shown up by Jeff Garcia last year?
  12. I dont even think its that. Everyone in the league knows what kind of player he is. Why would he risk going out and playing sub 100% health and risk aggravating his injury unless there was a better reason. He has nothing to gain by playing and everything to lose. This HAS to be an insurance policy to make sure we cant tag him again.
  13. beat me to it. He just wants to make absolute sure he has enough time played. This is by no means noble or warrior like.
  14. For our team to look like that on opening day next year we would need a perfect storm of events to fall into place. I really like boosting the o line that much and adding a WR on day 1 of the draft along with going after Johnson though. If they had to make some other changes I think we need to bring in a veteran running back and try to get better depth at safety.
  15. Where do you even get the idea we would be running a WCO? Because thats what McNabb runs? There are absolutely no signs pointing to us changing our offense.
  16. The Giants are absolutely gonna rest their starters. Winning or losing doesnt change their jockeying in the playoffs. You know the Pats are gonna go for the win and you dont want Eli and that offense to have to go against the Pats right before the playoffs because of what it will do to them mentally.
  17. Thanks, you saved me a lot of typing
  18. How come no matter who youre talking to or no matter what its about you always manage to throw in, face it, Grossman sucks. Listen, we know your opinion on the guy, and believe me, its an opinion. But youre beating a dead horse, we get it, you dont like him. Everything you post is getting more and more like Chitownmans.
  19. Its hard to say. I think people anointed him the next Barry Sanders too soon and it is relatively impossible for him to live up to the hype. He is a tremendous talent though.
  20. You went a little overboard considering you asked me where I would want to get the extra money for Briggs and the first player that popped in my head was Berrian. That doesnt mean he is going to get what Briggs is gonna get, it just means that its a corner to cut to make a Briggs deal more feasible. Again, Ill go back to the point of this thread, which is implying we wont miss Briggs because of Jamar Williams which is what I dont agree with.
  21. I said I wouldnt mind letting him walk if we used the money saved on him on other players but if they arent gonna use the whole cap I would like to resign him. However, I would rather sign him than Berrian.
