Theres no need to get into the argument of the beginning of the season Grossman vs the Oakland game and beyond Grossman now but since he came back he played much, much better and he was definitely better than Griese. I am willing to gamble you may not find one person on here that will side with you on Griese outplaying Grossman. I still think Grieses two losses to an awful Detroit team cost us our season.

Couldnt have said it any better. bearsox, I realize I overrate Grossman and everything but you just have some kind of dislike for him that is uncanny. Griese did now outperform him this year and the only reason Orton is playing is because of a Grossman injury. Griese is terrible. If you want him to be a mentor than hire him as a qb coach or something but there is no reason to want to go into next season with Griese, Orton and FLacco as the qbs. Have you even considered you may be wrong about Flacco and he may suck? Then what? Then who is the qb in a few years?

I like the idea of auditioning other guys. But I still want to play anyone that is able to play. I know it hurts our draft pick but Ive never been a fan of laying down at the end of seasons.

Also, you dont have us signing 1 free agent, not 1. So youre taking the same team we have now, adding some rookies, losing a good defensive end and our starting quarterback and thats the team. The only rookies you have even really playing are the two offensive lineman. So essentially, the exact same team minus Grossman, Alex Brown and Im assuming Ayabendejo SP? since hes not listed, throwing in two rookie offensive lineman and thats it? So, the same WRs, the same safeties, the same DTs, the same RBs. I think our number one offseason target has to be Faneca. I dont care how much we would have to overpay for him either, look what Hutchinson did for Minny, on top of himself playing great he made everyone around him better. Resign Grossman to a short term deal Mike Brown is signed so before restructuring him, give him a chance to stay healthy, if he cant next year let him walk, if he can, try to resign him. Resign Briggs and try to resign Berrian. Absolutely dont franchise him, and if he wants too much money, let him walk. Maybe he can go to Washington so they can have another Randel El. FAs to look at: Jamal Lewis, Justin Fargas, Patrick Crayton and Bryant Johnson. Try to get one of each position. Also, see if there are any WRs that are available VIA trade. Does anyone else think its weird that Grossman hasnt been IRed yet or that we havent signed anyone else? Are we only carrying Orton and Griese for this game? I wonder if theres any chance Grossman isnt done for the season. We havent gotten any kind of description or timeline of his injury that I know of.
