Due to trying to save money for the holidays and New Years. I may stay in and watch this disaster in hopes maybe Ocho Cinco may do something fun.

He hasnt been helped by a lot of the aspects of our offense but that doesnt cover up the fact how absolutely ridiculous his play calling is. He doesnt appear to use the personnel to the best of their abilities and is way too predictable. He also never makes in game adjustments.

I agree about O line and safety. I just dont see any real reason to take a qb. There arent even any high profile QBs that are supposed to be sure fire first rounders that would need to be taken if they dropped to us. Assuming we pick mid teens, which QB would have to be taken at that pick? There arent any qbs that are worth abandoning our needs because they slip to us. McFadden is a different story but theres no way hes available unless were the team that tries to deal with New England which is very unlikely. O line and safety have to be the main priorities in the draft unless we make a major splash in FA. Guys like Anderson or Turner are never gonna happen. Wed be better suited looking at a RB like Jamal Lewis or Julious Jones and there isnt much at QB out there thats worth overpaying for. In FA, Faneca should be the number one target, followed by Bob Sanders if Indy lets him get away.

So lets see, dropped passes by his team mates, injuries, no help from his running back and bad offensive line play. He will fit right in here.

The Bears need help in so many other places it would be insane to take a QB on day 1. They need 2 offensive lineman, a safety, wr, dt even a running back before they need to address QB. To take a QB that early would be a terrible move.

At best a 6th round draft pick and thats looking pretty unlikely too. Theres qbs in free agency that are better than Griese and much cheaper too.

Not to mention that were have to pay Anderson a ton of money. Anderson is a pipe dream at this point. IF Cleveland lets him get away there are gonna be a lot of suitors that are willing to spend a lot more than us. People have to realize we dont have a ton of money to play with. We know we are planning on extending Harris which is gonna cost a ton, then we have to decide on Briggs, Berrian, Grossman, set aside money for draft picks and money to fill the roster. We cant afford to go out and get the best qb and best o lineman in the offseason.

At the time of the trades, I wasnt too opposed to the Thome or Vasquez deals and though we had improved after them. Since then, I havent been a fan of much of anything theyve done.

I dont think theyd be against giving Simms another shot.
