  1. The Redskins also had the worst defense in the league in terms of yards given up when they came to Chicago. Relax, everyone. It's a prediction, not exactly "this is what the future holds."
  2. Cutler: 20-34, 234 yards, 2 TD, 3 INT Forte: 13 rushes, 36 yards, 3 catches, 78 yards, 1 TD Taylor: 5 rushes, 17 yards Hester: 2 catches, 35 yards, 1 TD Bears 23-20
  3. Julio Jones has all the talent in the world, however, he drops way too many passes and is way too inconsistent. ---Sign Logan Mankins (5 years, $38m) in the offseason. ---Trade Tommie Harris and a 4th round pick to San Diego for their 2nd round pick (pay half of Tommie's salary). 1. Joseph Barksdale, OT, LSU 2. Leonard Hankerson, WR, Miami 2. Jabaal Sheard, DE, Pittsburgh 3. Jarvis Jenkins, DT, Clemson 5. Kendric Burney, CB, North Carolina 6. Ryan Pugh, C, Auburn 7. Antoine Carter, DE, Auburn
  4. Shhh. Last time I put that (Bears taking a WR) in a mock draft I did, I got ripped because supposedly "every pick needs to be an offensive lineman" and "they have good young WR's."
  5. Winning a night game with Cutler as your QB in Miami isn't going to be easy. What I meant by up and down is their inconsistencies. One game, Rodgers is great and the next he's average. They rack up too many penalties and their running game isn't there. Also, like someone mentioned, they have tons of injuries as an excuse.
  6. What was worse- Rosen's analysis, or Ryan's man-love for Fitzpatrick?
  7. They still do. Usually, players tuck their sleeves up into their pads so much, one can't see them.
  8. Exactly. While the Bears aren't that good, Minnesota is a mess, Philadelphia is up and down, NE can't stop anyone, the Jets have played back-to-back bad OR average games, the Lions just lost after being up 10 with 5 minutes left AT HOME, and the Packers are also up and down. Agree. I'd love to see this team get in. In 2008, the Giants barely got in, and won the Super Bowl.
  9. While I don't like TO (but wouldn't be totally against him playing here next year on a 1 year deal), him and Cutler are friends away from the field, and as he has shown with Palmer and Ochocinco (2 of his friends off the field), TO behaves and plays well. As a matter of fact, he behaved in Buffalo last year on a horses*** team.
  10. I think Peppers has been good but Idonije has to start playing better. Cutler is playing well, but the OL can't run block worth a damn. If they continue to give Taylor and Forte no holes, I can see the Bills squeaking this out. Could Robbie Gould have a worse half?
  11. Cutler: 19-27, 190 yards, 1 TD Forte: 20 carries, 103 yards, 1 TD, 4 catches, 39 yards Taylor: 7 carries, 34 yards, 1 TD, 3 catches, 28 yards Olsen: 3 catches, 46 yards, 1 TD Bears 27-13
  12. 2 challenges per game, can use them in 2 consecutive plays or in 2 plays separated by 19 plays, if you win them both you get another.
  13. Merriman? Since his 17 sacks in 3/4 of a season a few years back, he's been terrible. He's had a run in with the law as well as a steroid suspension. He can't get to the QB in the 3-4, so he won't be able to in the 4-3 in Buffalo nor would he have been able to in Chicago. Moss? The Vikings suck and the Patriots are the best at evaluating talent. If those 2 teams can't use him, stay away. Good choice by Angelo.

    New Coach

Since he'll probably be canned after the year, he'll be an option and a popular one among fans, but I have 1 word- barf. Singletary is an awful coach. He has lost most of his team and their record is bad. Just because he played in Chicago and is an icon here does not make him the right guy for the job especially since he has NOTHING on his coaching resume worth a damn. If Chicago hired Cowher, wouldn't that mean a shift from the 4-3 to the 3-4, which might mean the end of Peppers, Urlacher, and Briggs?
  15. On goal lines situations, also. If Martz doesn't run the hell out of the ball in 8 days, I'm going to hope he's run out of Chicago RIGHT AFTER the game. Buffalo's run defense is last in the NFL, IIRC. Taylor should have atleast 13 carries and Forte should have atleast 25 by game's end.
  16. Yeah, I'm not sure that saying "Williams was drafted by Angelo" makes any sense. No one ever said he HAS NEVER taken a C, G, or OT. But the track record shows that the probablity that he would've is pretty low. Chances are, Angelo would've went with a CB, DE, or DT.
  17. New Super Bowl predictions? Coach most likely to be fired soon? DROY? OROY? Comeback POY? MVP? DPOY? I'll say: (I said Jets/Packers before the season) but I'll change to Jets/Falcons. DROY: Earl Thomas, Seattle. I believe he has 4 or 5 INT's this year already. OROY: Sam Bradford, Rams. No explanation needed. Comeback POY: I'll say Urlacher. He's been good. MVP: Peyton Hillis. I know it's a longshot since the Browns have been average, but he's been unreal. DPOY: Mathews. Yes, he's a Packer, but he's insane.
  18. It's not that I agree or disagree with this monster of a thread I've created. It was simply- how long will the organization stick with him? When do the fans start letting him have it like Grossman? When do the players give up? If a new regime comes in, will they want to keep Cutler and have HIM lead the team in a Super Bowl quest (McDaniels obviously didn't in Denver)? Just food for thought..
  19. Plus Cooley, Moss, and Armstrong to throw to.
  20. See, I just think that we assumed too much when he got here. Sure, he was a Pro Bowl QB, but like I said, he threw 18 INT's and got in because of an injury. We assumed they'd surround him with tons of talent and he'd make so many players around him better. Call me nuts, but I'd still make that trade 10/10 times.
  21. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,7544443.column What this is, if you don't want to click it, is pretty much David Haugh ripping Cutler. Now, I understand every QB has a bad game here and there, and I've been Cutler's BIGGEST supporter. At some point, however, when will he be considered a bust? Even when he had a great OL in Denver and made the Pro Bowl, he threw only 7 more TD's than INT's and made the PB because of an injury. The last 2 seasons, he's started out 3-1 and 3-0, and it's been downhill from there. How long do they give him? If he throws 8 more TD's the rest of the year and another 18 INT's, is this his last year? Do they give him next year, too? When does the team start to turn on him? Why is it fine if he throws 3-5 INT's but when Rex threw 1, it was "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"? I just want honest opinions. I look around the NFL and see Josh Freeman in Tampa, Sam Bradford in St. Louis, even Matthew Stafford in Detroit, Rodgers in GB, etc., and I'm kind of jealous. I thought they had something special in Cutler. But until he proves otherwise, I'm going to back off of my usual attitude to back this guy up.
  22. Agree, plus, he continues to drop 2 or 3 passes each game. Not good. That.^^
  23. Cutler needs to stop putting 1 foot behind the other on a sneak play before the snap. Everytime he does this, it's obvious to everyone in the stadium he's doing a sneak.
  24. 1. Cutler was bad, DO NOT get me wrong. But like Connor compared using the timeouts like an idiot last week bled over to this week, I think that NY game will forever be in the back of his mind. Every time he drops back, he's more than likely thinking he's going to get hit. Excuse? Yes. Viable excuse? Perhaps.. 1b. Also, this offense will continue to sputter as long as the WR's and Cutler aren't on the same page. Knox is an alright WR and all, but as long as he continues to drop 2-3 passes a game, he'll never be much more. 2. I thought the defense played terrific. Idonije has been a beast this year, and Peppers had a few hits on McNabb too. Tinoisamoa, in my mind, had a fantastic game. DJ Moore was good and it seems like teams have stopped throwing to Jennings' guys. 3. Take Manning off of KR. He all of a sudden thinks taking kicks out of the endzone 6 yards deep is a good idea. I'd like to see Knox or even Hester. 3. Small complaint- if Briggs wasn't completely healthy, why even dress him? They could've used Clark today. 4. Olsen sucks. Sorry jason, but he sucks. He made his monthly "catch I shouldn't have made" catch but also, on a low throw from Cutler, the ball went through his hands. On the ball near Washington's sideline, where Landry may have interfered, Olsen made no effort to come back to the ball.
