I don't think he'll be signed and then automatically get a spot on the 53 man roster. He'd likely go to the PS.

Not only do I agree with my mock but I'm doing it from JA's and Lovie's points of view. They more than likely trust guys like Bowman, Moore, Jennings, and Graham as CB's. Also, doesn't the organization see Wright as the SS of the future? If they do, while I'm not a C. Harris fan, he's certainly competant at FS for a year or 2, and I get the sense that the organization also believes in Steltz & Manning as solid safeties. Thus, I see the S position as one that's down their, and my, list.

Or his post-football life. Forget as a football player and an entertainer. The kid has a life to lead when he's done on the gridiron. Shame on them.

1. Joseph Barksdale, LSU, OT ---Barksdale projects as a RT in the NFL which would be my biggest need. I'm not willing to give up on Chris Williams yet. 2. Jeremy Beal, Oklahoma, DE ---Beal has been pretty good this year and we need help from Peppers. Anderson has been bad and Idonije isn't much better. As much as I'd rather see them take an OG or C, getting to QB's is pretty damn important. 3. Jon Moffitt, Wisconsin, OG ---Moffitt is a mauler and Garza has been terrible. BEARS TRADE TOMMIE HARRIS THE GIANTS FOR THEIR 3RD ROUND PICK 3. Stephen Paea, Oregon State, DT ---Paea is an underachiever so far but a steal in round 3.

I'm making this so early because week 4 was so f***ing disgusting. Cutler: 12-23, 123 yards Forte: 19 rushes, 60 yards, 1 TD Taylor: 11 rushes, 40 yards Defense gets a TD and with a Steve Smithless Carolina team, the Bears elite D will eat Clausen alive. I'll be at the game for my annual Bears road trip. Bear down! Bears 23-6
-
IIRC, he signed with Arizona.
-
LaCanfora an Schefter reporting Cutler will play at Carolina barring post concussion symptoms in practice. McNeil signed his 630k tender and reported like 2 weeks ago. I believe he's elgible to play week 6.

100% agree. As we all watch Peppers & Urlacher play at ridiculously high levels, it's pretty obvious: with just a competant OL this team would be a Super Bowl contender

Can someone edit this title? To call someone who might be the toughest SOB in football a pussy is just insanely stupid to the point where whoever wrote that should be ashamed of themselves. I'd like to see how tough you are and how great you body language is after being hit on what was stupidly close to being EVERY dropback. Right now, I'd do my best to acquire Logan Mankins from NE, and draft all OL with the first 4 picks. It's disgusting to watch UFL bozos like Webb, Omiyale, E. Williams, and Garza blocking for THE FRANCHISE. Jerry Angelo should get punched for being so dumb.
-
What is the definition of pussy? I bet it's not never missing a game since college. It's only logical for him to sit the rest of the game, head injury or not. Martz didn't adjust the gameplan like he did at Dallas. Maybe Angelo is the pussy for investing $22m/yr in a QB and jacks**t in an OL to protect him.
-
That was THE worst post of the year. Kyle Orton won a mighty 8 games last year despite his "great decision making" ability. If Cutler had Ryan Clady and that OL this year, he'd be even better then he's been. You think Orton would be any better this game? Please.
-
100% agree. While sacks doesn't win games, neither does throwing it away. They need more slants like against Dallas and I want to see more Chester Taylor. What is with this Manumaleuna guy? Has he blocked 1 guy in 3.5 games? Atrocious performance right now.
-
Yes, by Marcel Dareus, who is the best DT in college football. Not a bad mock. I love O'Dowd being an SC fan but he has an injury plagued past. I'd rather improve the DL in round 1 (Ryan Kerrigan) and get a mauler on the interior of the OL like Jon Moffitt (OG) from Wisconsin in round 3.

Cutler 25-39, 287 yards, 3 TD's, 2 INT's Forte 7 catches, 98 yards, 1 TD Knox 6 catches, 76 yards, 1 TD Olsen 5 catches, 55 yards, 1 TD Bears 26-19

Victoria was nice but Buchart Gardens sucked. 4 hours in a garden at night time? I'm not 80 years old. Skagway was awesome- ghost tour was great & so was the weather. Juneau & Ketchikan were both great as well.
-
I hate to change topics but I was on a cruise in Alaska 3 years ago and it was awesome. The stops were Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway & Victoria, BC. I PM'ed Alaskan Grizzly awhile back asking him for housing information for SE Alaska because one day I'd like to live there.

If Cutler finishes with 30+ TD's and 12 or less INT's, and the Bears win 11 games, he should be the MVP, unless Manning keeps doing his usual business. Although, like Terra said (though was wrong for saying should), Vick would win it because it's East Coast bias. If any other QB was doing what Vick is, nobody would care. Truth is, he's a sick human being who I wish would've been thrown out of the league after his last birthday party incident. Like Mad said, he's done well against 2 pretty weak teams, and should dominate another this Sunday.

http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcwest/post/_/id/...os-mvp-watch-20 One ESPN "expert" thinks he's right up there (at this point).
-
If him and Cutler continue to gel, I'd make him the highest paid OC to try to lure him into staying for 2-3 years.
-
Never said I didn't know the history. I just think they could've found a way to get it up to 71k or even more seats. This new stadium doesn't hold crowd noise that well either.
-
Connor- I don't know, man. We've both been STH's for awhile and that was the loudest since that Tampa game in '07 or '08 where some players fought. I don't remember it being that loud for the divisional game vs Seattle or for the NFC vs NO either. The way I look at it- it should be louder in fall because clapping hands, skin on skin, is louder than gloves on gloves. BTW- why the hell did the McCaskey's renovate the place in '03 and make it the smallest capacity in football? I'd take 10-15k more people yelling.

Just curious on your thoughts about Lovie's continous effort to go for it, and fail, on 4th & goal from the 1. I'm in the middle. They were down by 3 at the end of the 3rd and should've taken the points and tied it. They didn't and while the throw wasn't great, it was a ball Clark has to catch. Against the Lions they had 4 plays to get 20 inches and couldn't. Again I take the points but Lovie trusts his team can get such a short gain in 4 plays. On top of this, Forte needs to get his pads lower at the goal line. He's running too upright and is down at first contact by a player.
-
I wasn't doubting him. Calm down. I said I couldn't see "greatness" from him being there live.
-
I wouldn't say Cutler was awful. "He really should've thrown 3 INT" isn't even a comment that makes sense. There was a penalty by GB on 2 that were intercepted. What did he say? I was at the game. But speaking of pricks who can go to hell, Trent Dilfer said Martz & Cutler HAVE NOT meshed well, and after the game, he went on to say the Bears are a so-so team who are 2-3 years behind the Packers. Asshole.
-
From my vie. at the game- 1. The defensive scheme is still frustrating but with a healthy Urlacher, rejuvenated Briggs and Peppers, it seems to working perfectly. 2. Speaking of Peppers, I've seen a lot of stuff saying he was great tonight. Besides the blocked FG and semi-forced false starts, I didn't see it. Someone help.. 3. Cutler didn't have his best game, but in the past, he's needed his A game to win. This shows he's truly maturing as a QB and I hope Martz sticks around for 2-3 years here because these 2 really are gelling well. 4. Hester was electric tonight. When the PA played his Soulja Boy song, he really felt it and then got a TD the next time. BTW- keep Manning on KR and Hester at PR. 5. I'm sick of Lovie going for it on 4th and 1 from the 1. I know it was an easy catch for Clark but take the 3 and the tie. 6. Green Bay is a very dumb team coached by a guy I used to like but he even had some stupid calls today like some play selection as well as that challenge where Urlacher had the FF. Rodgers is a beast. I love this guy. 7. If the season ended now...Cutler for MVP? 7. Beat NY.
