  1. Our 2009 draft order should be: OT, OG, then C. Even Kreutz looks old, slow, and weak.
  2. I guess we'll agree to disagree. All I'm saying is that it might be easier to score straight up the middle for 1/2 yard rather than tossing it 4 yards to the left and then needing 4 yards ahead of you. This is not looking good. We have to go 5-2 (beat CIN, CLE, ARZ, SF, and PHI) in our next 7, or else we'll be looking too far up in the wild card standings too, and then we'll be looking for a new head coach.
  3. You're right, my mistake. But still, with 1/2 yard to go, 2 runs up the middle with your RB and 2 with your QB should get you 1/2 yard. None of that PA bulls*** or tosses or sweeps.
  4. I agree with you guys that turning the ball over isn't on Turner, but still, running a sweep when you need 1/2 a yard on 4th down is unacceptable. The QB sneak worked all game- why stop now?
  5. The Texans defense is awful, and they barely moved the ball. If you would've told me we'd allow 21 points tonight, I would've told you we would've won by 10+ points. Just saying.
  6. If the Bears lose Sunday, they have to win their next 4 (CLE, ARZ, @ SF, PHI). That's my point. There's no way we go 4-0 in that stretch, so winning Sunday is a must.
  7. Sunday's game in Cincy is a must win, and that's not going to be easy.
  8. Our OL is f***ing brutal. Cutler does everything in his power to try to win us a game again, and grandpa Pace blows it. Wow. Forte- wake the f*** up.
  9. I don't mean to come off as an a**hole, but f*** your FF team.
  10. I'm been the biggest Cutler backer possible, but he's got to start to make these throws or learn to throw it away. Hester was doubled covered on his INT in the redzone and Olsen was wide open down the field.
  11. Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Sure, they're 6-0 but they've let SF, GB, and BAL all back in the game in Minnesota. Also, they go to PIT and to GB in the next 2 weeks. Hopefully Clifton is back by that game or Allen will have another field day. Good luck.
  12. Harvin reaggravated his shoulder and AD went off limping after he was tackled and his ankle got all bent.
  13. Also, had we planned on letting Ogunleye and Anderson walk, we were probably going to take a DE with our 2nd round pick anyways.
  14. They had a 2nd last year but they traded it. Why do you think Vasher played so well in 2006? Because our DE's and DT's were getting to the QB. It all starts with the DL. Just like a great OL makes a great RB, and a great QB makes WR's, well it's the same way with the DL and the DB's- a good DL makes DB's.
  15. Really guys? I think it's a precursor to signing Ogunleye to the franchise tag and saying adios to Anderson.
  16. This is all in hindsight. Now it would've looked good to keep Polite, but at the time, he wasn't playing much better then McKie. I think we should look for a FB in either free agency or the draft this year. As a USC fan, I know that their FB, Stanley Havili, is a very versatile FB.
  17. They all also picked New Orleans back in the 2006-2007 NFC title game. From there on out, I don't even read anybody's predictions, yet alone ESPN's.
  18. Cutler 26-39, 268 yards, 2 TD's, 2 INT's Forte 25 rushes, 141 yards, 2 TD's, 3 catches, 20 yards Wolfe 6 rushes, 19 yards, 2 catches, 11 yards Hester 6 catches, 68 yards, 1 TD Bennett 6 catches, 82 yards Knox 4 catches, 39 yards Olsen 5 catches, 48 yards, 1 TD Bears 34-27
  19. Before DrunkBomber says it, I will- TO has never won anything.
  20. Usually I'd say yes, but we have 3 young WR's who I think can all be very good WR's, so as of now, no. Plus, TO isn't the same player he once was.
  21. The great Patriots DL? Their 13th against the pass and 11th against the run. They're an average defense now, and so is their offense. Welker is still banged up and Brady looks rusty. Also, they have no running game what-so-ever- Morris and Maroney are 2 medicore RB's. Great, the Broncos are playing well and so is Orton. They still have not played anyone, though I did doubt they'd beat the Pats. They'll finish with 10-11 wins, and they'll be out of the playoffs quick, IMO. We'll see how they play when they have to go to Indianapolis and to Baltimore. The Giants and Steelers have to go to Denver as well. The Bears, on the other hand, have played some good competition. They were the first team to see what the Packers new defense was like, and almost pulled it out despite a brutal team performance. After that debacle, they had to play the Steelers, and they won. Then, they went to Seattle and won. I'm not about to say that the Seahawks have a great defense, but anytime a QB gets the ball in Seattle with 4 minutes left on the clock and leads his team down for a TD then the 2 point conversion is impressive. I'm not bragging, but being at that game, the 12th Man is no joke. Maybe it's the coffee up there, but they can get the noise up there, and it's the toughest place to the play in the NFL for a reason, whether the Seahawks have no injuries or 8. Now, the Lions still aren't very good, but coming off a win you could tell they wanted to win 2 straight for the first time since the Last Supper. They scored 21 points on what was seemingly their first 3 drives, and our offense had to match. They did, then the defense got some stops, the special teams got going, and we put them away. All this talk about Orton being the next Brady is ridiculous. Brady has the it-factor and he always will. As far as I'm concerned, there will never be another guy like Brady, who could manage a game as well as win it. He was so cool in the toughest parts of games. Last week, Morrissey wrote an article about Cutler being the next Brady, and I instantly stopped reading. It's no disrespect to Orton- it's just nobody will be another Brady, including Cutler. Don't start with Peyton- let me know when he wins 2 more rings.
  22. What? I'm agreeing with you. I said that Orton doesn't fit into our system like he does with Denver, but Cutler fits into our system better than Denver's.
  23. I was going to be the first to say Quinn, but somebody beat me to it. Still, I'll say him or Burris. Burris was brutal.
  24. I totally agree. With the way these teams are getting to Cutler, or almost getting to Cutler, we'd surely be 1-3. Also, Cutler gets no credit for his GW throw in Seattle, because "it was a high throw and Hester did the rest", yet Orton gets all the credit for his GW throw to Marshall last week against Dallas, even though he caught a 15 yard lob and did the rest. It's amazing how it works. Like I read somewhere, Cutler is better for our system then Orton is, and Orton is better for their system then he is for ours.
