Allen is a helluva player but he needs to shut up and worry about his QB situation.
-
The Bears do not have a regular 7th. They traded it and TB's original 6th for Buenning. They have 2 7th's for losing Ayabedejo and Gilmore.
-
No. I've seen the Bears play in 2 places- Indy and Cincy (and Chicago).
-
At 6 CT on NFL Network, they will announce the schedules for the 2008 season. I'm going to guess we have night games against GB, one MIN game, the PIT game, the ARZ game, the BAL game, and maybe the SEA game.
-
I'm either going to the Seattle or SF game. I love the city of Seattle so I'm leaning toward that game.
-
Probably a mid-4th to an early-5th rounder. He's a nice possession guy but I'd rather have Brandon Gibson over him.
-
2. Mohammad Massaqoui, WR, Georgia ---Do I like him this early? No. But the organization does. 3. Darcel McBath, FS, Texas Tech ---Talk about rising talk? This guy was a 6th rounder 2 months ago. 4. Jason McCourty, CB, Rutgers ---CB depth. 5. Orion Martin, DE, Virginia Tech ---DL toy for Marinelli. 5. Tony Fiammetta, FB, Syracuse ---Best FB in the draft, IMO. McKie doesn't get it done. 7. Jeremy Childs, WR, Boise State ---WR depth. 7. John Gill, DT, Northwestern ---DT depth and the team likes him. Thoughts (this could all change by signing Holt or Burress)?

Rashad Johnson isn't a 2nd round player but just a mid-3rd. However, if we're super high on him (which I haven't heard) then take him with our 2nd because he will not be there for our 3rd.
-
For the right price, I'd still like to see him brought in here. If Cutler gets hurt for 1 game or the whole year at the worst, we have Hanie coming in. Right now, we're an upper echelon NFC team and we need a serviceable QB in case Cutler goes down.
-
I'll take our chances with them coming here in possible cold weather. Plus, the Bears are a great team at home and the Cardinals weren't all that good last year besides the playoffs. San Francisco hasn't added anyone. Green Bay is going to suck again this year. They don't exactly have the personel to run their 3-4 just yet so they'll struggle. Also, Jennings still hasn't gotten his extension that he wants. I know we play PIT and BAL, but every year every team has to play 1 or 2 games against good teams.
-
I think this is Lovie's make or break year. If the Bears get in, he stays. If not, adios. I think they will make the playoffs, too. Cutler makes his team better and with guys like Anderson and Ogunleye going into contract years + Marinelli, the defense will be better. I'll say 11-5. On paper, our schedule looks easy. I know any team can turn into the Falcons of yesteryear but it's not that common. With games like STL, ARZ, CLE, @ CIN, @ SF, @ SEA, and then obviously GB x2, and DET x2, I'll take our chances.

Getting Holt means no WR until rounds 4 or 5 and lets us go DE then FS or vice versa in rounds 2 and 3. I feel like Holt has some left in the tank and he loves Hester (just watch your 2006 season DVD) and I feel like the Pace signing gives him even more incentive to come here.

I recently backed this guy at SoxTalk but this was before his recent arrest. Now? Pass.
-
I think we all remember those "One city. One goal" ads last year the Bears put out. Well, I'm not sure if this is going to be a real one, but I found it searching photobucket and I thought it was neat, so here ya go.
-
He fits in perfectly there. Another former Bear we get to beat up on when the squad heads to Cincy.
-
TO is just an attitude issue. Marshall is younger but has issues off the field as well. For one year, give me TO.
-
With Plaxico in there, Eli became a great QB. Without him, he was mediocre. Nobody is saying what this guy has done off the field is fine, but when he gets on the field, he changes the game. For $3 million or less on a 1 year deal, I'd be willing to give him a shot.
-
Too bad. I seriously do not miss him one bit.
-
Cancer? They won a Super Bowl with this guy on top of his game.
-
If Housh and TO were still on the market, I'd love either. Maybe we can get TO on a 1 year deal after this year, since he's so good in his 1st year with teams historically.
-
Eli was a stud with Burress in there and very mediocre without him. He'll probably serve his jail time in the offseasons and he'll probably get a 2-4 game suspension from Goodell. I say give him a whirl.
-
Monroe still hasn't gone, either. Yikes.
-
Green is the universal message board font color for sarcasm, FWIW.

Evans got a 4 year, $40 million extension this past year. Jennings won't leave GB to come here and plus, his extension will be their top priority through this season into the offseason. Mason is 35 right now and so he'll be 36 by that time- I'll pass. You can make a case for Ward being the face of that franchise in Pittsburgh. He'll be 35 by that time and so I'll again pass. However, Jackson, Edwards, Marshall, and White are all FA's. UFA? I'm not sure. But they are all FA's.

It's either Smith, Raji, or Crabtree for them. Good pick. A sleeper for them could be Stafford or Sanchez, depending on if they feel Hasselbeck has anything left in the tank. Going Sanchez/Stafford then Harvin/DHB isn't a bad starting point to team with Houshmanzadeh. Stinger has DEN, SD, TB, and TEN...if he doesn't mind, I'd like one of those 4 teams.
