Actually, Barkley had a terrible season to his standards. He only threw 23 TD's and 18 INT's. But...they do have the top rated LB by Rivals coming in (Vontaze Burfict), and the 3rd best LB (Manti Te'O) is between USC, Notre Dame, and BYU. They have a guy who played S, RB, and WR coming in who runs a 4.33 40 and another good DB coming in. Also, the top DE is between USC and like 8 other schools. I'm not sure when the deadline is for committments but we'll see. They do have a strong defensive class coming in though, as you can all see. If they can land Te'O and Kennard, it'll be a great class...hell, even if they get 1 of the 2, it'll be a great class. I thought with Sanchez, they could win it all with strong competition from OU and Florida. Now, it'll probably be another Rose Bowl win. It'll be tough with an experienced defense to go to Oregon, to Cal, and to Ohio State and win all 3 of those. I don't. I meant if he did fall to us, like Rodgers or Quinn.

per espn.com. The guy will be a star. Too bad we'll settle for a veteran FA QB or draft a QB in the 3rd-5th round.

Harris tore his hamstring off his bone. That isn't very common.
-
John Jurkovic, former DT for Green Bay/Jacksonville/Cleveland, had the injury and he does radio in Chicago and he says he had the same injury and it's practically impossible to come back from and be your old self again.
-
Plenty of DT's have the same injury as Tommie and 99% of them are never the same. I hope this helps, but I don't think it's his technique or skill set that's slowing him down, just the injury itself.

NFLDraftsite.com usually is, but they haven't updated theirs in awhile. Still, some of those picks give you an idea of where guys could go. WalterFootball.com is cool. They update 3 rounds every week, usually on a Thursday.

Atowge will be re-signed. On a Rams board, they all said he'll be back.
-
Being a USC fan, I've watched many games, and his production is down because he doesn't get thrown to/by, similar to Asomugha.

per USC's website.

Barden had atleast 131 yards and 1 TD in every game.

With guys like Crabtree, Britt, Nicks, Heyward Bey, Harvin, and Maclin in this draft, one of them is bound to fall to us in the 2nd. I'd like to think so, anyways. Well, except Harvin. He's like a smaller Hester. No thanks. But like my sig shows, I just think we'll have to trade down or draft one with our original spot. All 6 of those guys (except Crabtree as he's not really that fast) are going to have great combines which will cause their stocks to rise. Guys like Brandon Gibson (Washington State), Brian Robiskie (Ohio State), Juaquin Iglesias (Oklahoma), Louis Murphy (Florida), Ramses Barden (Cal Poly), Mohamed Massaquoi (Georgia), and Derrick Williams (Penn State) all wouldn't be bad 3rd round picks. I think a 3rd round steal could be Massaquoi. He's a quiet guy but he's very fast (like Berrian) and knows how to get open (unlike Berrian). As a freshman he dropped tons of passes but now he has good hands and loves going across the middle (unlike Berrian). His build is like Berrian but IMO he could be a better pro then Bernard is/will be. Brandon LeFell (LSU), Demetrius Byrd (LSU), Marko Mitchell (Nevada), Michael Jones (Arizona State), Jaison Williams (Oregon), Jamarko Simmons (Western Michigan), Mardy Gilyard (Cincinnati), and Brennan Marion (Tulsa) all are nice 5th-6th round options too depending on if JA wants to add even more depth to the position after (hopefully) a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round selection.

Remember when Bears88 was like "Orton or Rex aren't the answer...Delhomme is"? LOL
-
He'd be a nice pick for Miami in the 3rd. McShay said it best today- he is a terrible QB when his 1st read isn't there, his arm strength isn't there, and he won't be able to continuously take the beating he did in college in the pros. I'll pass.
-
He might even be there in the 2nd with guys like Maclin, Crabtree, Britt, and Bey all being "better" prospects.
-
I love this move. This guy has fire and he's a damn good DL coach.
-
Duke Robinson had an awful BCS title game and I'll be shocked if he goes in the 1st round. He had many 2 straight dumb penalties at one point, and he wasn't making too many holes. At some point in the game, they took him out.
-
Because Beekman is undersized and he's not a LG and Garza was terrible this year. We have a stud RB- we better get a f***ing RG, whether it's through FA or the draft. Do we get off the bus running? If Lovie really thinks that, we must improve our interior OL. QB is something we could get through FA, like Collins or Garcia.
-
If they win it all, we'll get the 17th pick. Obviously, not a huge difference but it could be the difference between a great prospect who falls a bit.
-
I think we'll give small extensions to Roach AND St Clair, then Manning, Williams, and AP after the year.
-
BearSox I agree except I think we'll bring in a 1-3 round RG to play there instead of Buenning, especially with his injuries.
-
Robiskie was great tonight. He made a few nice blocks, too. I'm still not sold- if he only blocks every other game, that won't cut it here.
-
Well they didn't kill them, but OSU still sucks.

Don't act like you've never heard the comparisons of Devin to Smith. Every week it seems like I hear either a Chicago sports analyst mention it or a caller to a radio station. Small guys with great speed. Only problem is- Smith can make a huge catch in traffic or a slant down the middle and take a huge hit, both of which I haven't seen Hester do.
