He ran a 4.52 for his last recorded time. Not good for a WR. I think he'll be the best WR right away but eventually guys like Britt and Heyward-Bey will be very good while Robiskie will be just a good player. And I don't know, just watch tomorrow night. His blocking is too inconsistent for me.
-
Johnson is a WR who goes and gets it. With a QB who can't throw the long ball with any sort of accuracy, Chad would rip him a new asshole repeatedly.
-
I love everything about the Seahawks- their city, their loud fans, their colors, and their jerseys. The Bengals jerseys are ugly but the Vikings are hideous. But I agree- the Bears, Steelers, and Chargers have the best jerseys in football. Alex Brown?
-
Boldin will be 29 by week 6 next year. Housh will be 32 by week 4 next year.
-
Out of curiosity- why wouldn't you want Britt. Yeah, and so does Hester- look where that's gotten us so far. He is actually pretty slow and his blocking sucks.
-
If we had the #1 pick in the draft, what would you do with it?
-
I'm still undecided. I love Britt but Nicks is impressive and could allow us to go E. Brown in the 1st, but Bey is long but still a bit bulky with nice hands.
-
How is this a Madden fantasy? A 1st and a 3rd would probably get the job done plus maybe a 5th or another player. If the GM doesn't pay him, they'd be nuts to just let him go through FA in 2010.
-
I'm not sure how Rod Hood is doing. I know they have Rodgers-Cromartie but if Hood is playing well they wouldn't take Vasher.
-
I was very impressed with him today. He's a rare guy who's a possession WR but can stretch a simple 8 yard pass into a 40 yard gain. He caught a 15 yard pass today and ended up taking it 65 or so yards for a TD. He's a monster. If this guy is really on the market and Angelo really doesn't want to give up a 1st and a 3rd, they're nuts and so is he. If I were Angelo, I'd make the trade. Period.

1. And put Beekman where? 2. Davis signed a 3 year deal this past offseason, I believe.
-
Johnson, Boldin, and TO aren't FA's.
-
Already a thread on this...

If Tillman is moved to FS and Vasher does get cut, that means we won't have to draft a FS but we will have to draft a CB with one of our first 6 picks OR sign a FA, like Dunta Robinson (I wish Houston would let him walk but I don't see that happening) or Asomugha (same with him- no way Oakland lets him walk). I like what I saw out of Bowman and Graham but I'd hate to go into next season with 2 CB's who aren't too experienced.

I'm not sure if you guys saw this hit today by (my boy) Taylor Mays in the Rose Bowl, but sign me up. I understand he was flagged, but that's always called in college as opposed to 60% (IMO) in the NFL. You can bet your ass no WR will be happy about having to go across the middle of the field against this guy, either. Seriously, not because I'm a USC guy, but this guy's potential is one of the best of all time. He is also a fumble forcing machine (had 1 tonight) and he's officially been stopped throwing to on his side so INT's come at a rarity. Honestly, I would think about trading up (trade our 1st, 2nd, and 6th) if I was Angelo (but he won't) to get him, then trading one of our 3rds and a 5th for a 2nd to get that back. So, here it is. F***er took his guy and the PSU guy out.

Urlacher on His Critics--They Don't know football
Ed Hochuli 3:16 replied to bradjock's topic in Bearstalk
Totally agree, BearSox. A MLB is great when he has good or great DT's. This year, the only solid DT was Adams. -
BTW- this is what I think we'll do, not what I want. I think he learned his lesson signing 32 year old possession WR's with Moose. I said we won't budge on Baskett.
-
And this isn't what I want our offseason to be. But JA already said he doesn't think WR's make a good team, so Housh is out and so is Boldin. I would want Goff and he might be a nice pick-up but I doubt JA goes after him.

Bears trade 1st round pick to Steelers for their 1st, 3rd, and 5th. Bears trade Mark Anderson to Lions for their 6th round pick. Bears sign Charlie Batch to a 1 year, $2.5 million deal. Bears want Hank Baskett, but he's a RFA. Eagles want a 3rd rounder, Bears ponder, but then say f*** it. Bears let Booker and Lloyd walk. Bears move Wolfe and Davis permanently to special teams. 1 Kenny Britt, WR, Rutgers ---physical, good hands, reminds me of Plaxico Burress in terms of size. 2 Herman Johnson, OG, LSU ---huge guy (6'7 350), great pass and run blocker. I was reading some stat that he only gave up 2 QB pressures all year. 3 Fenuki Tupou, RT, Oregon ---did you see this guy against Oklahoma State? What a monster. Now, I'm not sure why but he was playing LT, not RT, last night. Injury to the usual LT? Big guy (6'5 220) and one of the best run blocking RT's coming out this year. 3 Pannel Egboh, DE, Stanford ---6'6 275, just a mammoth player with a high IQ and great motor. 3 David Bruton, FS, Notre Dame ---best player on ND's defense this year, good hitter, great football IQ. 4 Drew Willy, QB, Buffalo ---6'3 220, good arm, good accuracy, could be the steal of the draft here. 5 Tyrell Sutton, RB, Northwestern ---Angelo has given up on Wolfe and this guy is a bigger type Wolfe. I love this pick/idea. 5 Mitch King, DE/DT, Iowa ---this guy is one of the best defensive players in the country. He's a DT in college but he's undersized and might have to be a DE in the pros. 6 Jon Cooper, C, Oklahoma ---evidently, Kreutz has lost what made him great. He's constantly on his ass and maybe a pick like this will wake him up. I think Cooper will spend 2-3 years on the PS. 6 Jaison Williams, WR, Oregon ---huge guy (6'4 230) and people question his hands, yet he caught every pass thrown to him last night. 7 Brannan Southerland, FB, Georgia ---good player- McKie blows. Period.

1. True, but I wouldn't call from 13-3 to 5-11 an upswing. 2. The Seahawks have no WR's and no secondary. Hasselbeck is old and many Seahawks fans question him going forward. End of story. 3. The Cardinals are a bad football team. They have a questionable running game, Warner has really turned terrible, and they have no defense. 4. Cincy wasn't even good when Palmer was playing this year. Housh won't be back, Benson may f*** up again because he'll get a contract, and Chad probably wants out.

There's no way Oakland doesn't use the FT on Asomugha. And, I'd love OJ Atogwe who is a FS similar to Tillman with a great ball punch but the Rams will definitley re-sign him as well.

Relax, man. For every Grossman, there's a Harris. For every Haynes, there's an Olsen.

He never talks about adding guys. It makes me think... I've never heard Angelo talk in the tone he did when I heard this on CTL. The way he said this made me crack a grin. Again, his tone made him sound in charge. It made him sound like he understands the core of the defense's window for a ring may be closing and he wants one soon as well. But who is he referring to? Vasher? Harris? Ogunleye? Maybe even Hester on KR's/PR's? On MJH today, JD says either Anderson or Ogunleye won't be back next year. That was in a response to a question about the future of Babich. Bank on Marinelli being apart of this organization next year. He also went on to say Bennett not playing was a pure coaching decision. Thoughts?
