Sanchez is a late 1st to mid 2nd rounder, and Davis could be a 3rd rounder.
-
What about Ziggy Hood, DT, Missouri? Potential 2nd or 3rd rounder.
-
The Packers, Seahawks, Cardinals, and Bengals are on an upward swing? BTW- right now, I can see plenty of games that could be night games. Falcons, Ravens, Steelers, Eagles, and maybe MIN/GB.
-
Atlanta's defense finished 24th overall. GB, NO, and ATL all have suspect defenses.
-
SI.com Thoughts? As of now, it looks a bit easy. The Lions, Packers, Browns, Rams, 49ers, Seahawks, and Bengals all have top 12 draft picks. Obviously, it could change totally (see: 2008 Falcons, 2008 Dolphins) but as of now, it looks like the NFL schedule's are in our favor.
-
No. See Connor's post.
-
Do I think we would? No. Would Angelo? probably. With so many other needs, Angelo will not go after a WR with our 1st rounder when we signed the best WR free agent. He'll likely go after one in the 4th or 5th.
-
If we sign TJ, there's no way we take Maclin in the 1st. Period.
-
I can see us signing Collins or Garcia for 2 years. This way, if Orton wins the starting job, whoever we draft (or Hanie) can learn some standing with Garcia or Collins on the sideline. If Garcia or Collins wins the job, Orton can sit back and watch what they do.
-
If we sign a Houshmanzadeh, we'll take a WR int he 4th or 5th, not in the 2nd or 3rd, or atleast I hope so anyway. I still think Bennett can be a solid player.
-
Completely agree with everything you said. I think going into next year, we must sign Houshmanzadeh or trade for Boldin, move Davis to ST, bring on Bennett way more then what he was used this year just to see what he can (or can't) do, say adios to Booker, and possibly bring back Lloyd on a 1 or 2 year deal worth about 2 million per. 1 Housh/Boldin 2 Hester 3 Lloyd 4 Bennett Not that bad, assuming Bennett can catch the ball like he did at Vandy and not how he did in the preseason.

ATL @ ARZ ATL 45-28 BAL @ MIA UPSET MIA 16-14 IND @ SD IND 28-21 PHI @ MIN PHI 24-20 Thoughts? And what are your predictions?

both from espn.com GO GET MARINELLI, ANGELO!

Why is it embarrassing for THIS club? This defense has been brutal all year, did you expect it to change going to Houston and playing a great offense? Of course it's nothing to hang a f***ing hat on.
-
I believe I read that we'll have about $20 million in cap room. Going by your logic, we won't have enough room. Cassel will cost us about 10 per, Suggs 10 per, Landry 3 per, Housmanzadeh 9 per, and Ward 6 per. That's crazy- that would mean we'd have to have around 38 in space. Ward is going to go somewhere and be a starter, like a poor man's Michael Turner, unless he truly loves NYC and takes 3 or 4 per to stay with the Giants. And what, are you serious? Anderson and a pick for Boldin? If the Cardinals offered us that and Angelo said no, I'd find him and beat the s**t out of him. But seriously, come on. There's no way that happens. It might have to be a 1st, a 4th, and Anderson. All I want is Houshmanzadeh. Maybe Collins or Garcia but Collins will probably sign a 1-2 year deal with the Titans at around 4 per in case Young still can't figure it out down in Tennessee, but there's always hope on Garcia. If we miss out on Garcia, I'd love to see us sign Mike Goff. He looked great yesterday and has been San Diego's best OL in an up and down year for the Chargers.
-
He finished with 9.5 sacks which isn't a sack machine to me, and he had shoulder surgery last year. Then again, in the 6th, it couldn't hurt.
-
Not a chance. If Duke slips into the 2nd, Detroit or Jacksonville would snag him up like no other. No way Maclin goes into the 2nd.
-
Improving the OL through the draft and signing Houshmanzadeh or trading for Boldin will open up the deep ball. If we improve the OL, Forte will have plenty more holes and so the D might start cheating up. Then, we hit them deep for Hester. Sign Houshmanzadeh and safeties start cheating up on slants for him as he's a possession guy. Boldin is a possession guy too but he can stretch the field. These 2 guys would make life easier for Hester and Orton (and Forte).
-
I'd be all for trading our 1st for another team's 1st and picking up another 3rd, or trading our 1st and picking up a 2nd, 3rd, and 6th. With so many needs, we need more picks. That 3rd in compensation for Berrian will really help us. However, to get another 3rd through trade would be fantastic. Something tells me we won't be taking a WR until the 4th or 5th round. With Bennett, Lovie might use an excuse like "we have too many WR's that we think can be good football players". I mean, he is sort of right in a sense that I'd hate to see a 3rd go to waste to get a 1st or 2nd rounder this year and have him see the field more and he is just as unproductive.
-
So if we didn't play like absolute garbage, why is this embarrassing?
-
1. Taylor Mays, FS, USC 2. Kenny Britt, WR, Rutgers 3. Larry English, DE, Northern Illinois 3. Fenuki Tupou, RT, Oregon 4. Anthony Parker, OG, Tennessee 5. Drew Willy, QB, Buffalo Like you said- dream. None of those guys will be there at those times.

Good job, again. However, why is Forte not a positive? He had 52 total yards in the 1st quarter and got 1 or 2 touches since then. Now, whether that's because of an injury or just an idiotic coaching move (wouldn't doubt it), I don't know. But he played great when he was in there today.
