Agreed. IMO, we have to throw a few draws in there to create holes for Forte. With how good he's been this year, we can't just stop running the ball. Everytime he touches it he could take it for a TD.
-
Are we freaking serious? Just give them 3 points?! What in the hell, Lovie?! You don't run it 3 times there to make GB use all 3 TO's, then get it with like 4 seconds left? Wow. This makes it so tough to f***ing watch. And what is Aikman talking about? Why should that be a penalty on Hester? It's called a stiff arm you dumbass.

Grant has been awful from what I've heard and read about, but either way, if you're a RB going against the Bears defense, your day will probably be medicore anyways. Rodgers is going to start, he's been probably all week.
-
I agree on the 35 part, but there's no way Jones gets it 10 times. I think Forte will run it about 27 times, Jones about 6, and AP about 3. Hell, maybe Wolfe gets in for a few direct snaps or something. I also think Matt will catch about 4-6 balls.

Where does the other TD come from?

We have a stud RB and the only thing that's holding him down is the inconsistency of Roberto Garza. We need to get used to Beekman's inconsistency because he is still young and hopefully he learns from his mistakes, but Garza will be 30 next year, so if he hasn't learned from it yet, I don't think he ever will. Actually, that wouldn't be a bad draft at all. However, if we get a WR through FA or a trade, we shouldn't take a WR until round 5 or 6.

1. Duke Robison, OG, Oklahoma ---we need to get younger on the OL, best OG to come out of school in quite some time, fierce run blocker, good pass blocker 2. Auston English, DE, Oklahoma ---face it, our pass rush has been brutal, and English is a guy who never quits 3. Nic Harris, S, Oklahoma ---okay I didn't notice I just have them taking 3 straight Oklahoma guy, but Harris is a big guy (6'3, 230) and he can be tutored by Brown if we re-sign him for a year. He isn't the fastest guy but he's a big hitter and has a nose for the ball 3 (C4B). Vance Walker, DE/DT, Georgia Tech ---this may not be popular, but Walker can play DT if Dusty and Tommie continue to struggle and DE if Ogunleye and Brown decline even more 4. Xavier Fulton, OT, Illinois ---before the year, Fulton was a 2nd rounder, but Illinois is terrible so everyone's stock is dropping on the team, even star CB Vontae Davis' 5. Mohammad Massaquoi, WR, Georgia ---I do think we'll sign TJ Housh or trade for a WR in the offseason, but the guy has been consistent in his career at Georgia and he could be a steal. Plus, Housh is 30 so in 4 years this guy could come in handy, especially since our organization hates Hass, Rideau, and Bennett, and Lloyd will probably leave because he'll want a 2-4 year deal

for Wilson Betemit and 2 prospects. Thoughts?
-
Orton- 13/28, 189 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT Forte- 28 carries, 143 yards, 5 catches, 29 yards, 2 TD's total Gould- 3/3 on FG Bears 30-27

After the game, I heard Rex say about how the offense was put into a hole with such bad field position consistently. Well, according to Larry Meyer, that is no excuse.. Thoughts?
-
Didn't you know- Orton is medicore! Either way, Green Bay is going to kill us!! Anyways, this is good news.
-
Okay, number 1, if you get sacked a lot, that doesn't mean you played bad. Sure, it could mean you hold onto the ball for too long, but don't forget- the OL has an affect on it as well. Plus, that's less then 2 a game, so that's not even a good argument. I'd take less then 2 sacks given up per game the rest of the year, and so would everyone else on here. So...what's your point?
-
On that Larry Meyer "3 questions" thing on the Bears website, he said they actually barely played it.
-
Orton is good. Rex is bad. Sorry.
-
IMO, we have more talent than that defense in Detroit, though. Yet, I haven't been able to watch much of the Lions this year except twice (thank God), so I wouldn't know what their tendencies are and what Marenelli might bring over here, potentially. Hopefully it's the same scheme, but with a few twitches with tons of blitzes included.
-
If Forte doesn't get 27+ rushes and 4+ catches this Sunday, that'll be it- my consistent sticking up for Lovie and Turner will be over. The Packers are, simply put, a horrific run D, while their pass D is very good.
-
Can't we just get some mean, nasty SOB d-coordinator, move Babich out of town or to a smaller role (DB coach, whatever)?
-
Wait, so Rex shouldn't get ripped because he's trying his best?
-
Maybe, but I doubt 33M Canadiens are Bears fans.
-
Were you at the game yesterday? I sat next to 2 guys from Canada...
-
Wait, aren't you the one who said it doesn't matter how many times the QB turns the ball over as long as the team wins?
-
Through the first however-many games, I kept saying to myself "How was this guy considered a cancer everywhere he went?". Now, I know why. Get your a** on the field, Brandon. It'll be fine when you're on another team next year, anyways.

If Orton is not ready to start next week.....

Rex had one of his better games in 2006 @ Green Bay. You have to give him the start.
