You hit the nail on the head here. The play I'll never forget about SB XLI was when it was 2nd and 1 after TJ had just gained 9, and they threw the ball. What the hell? What happened? Rex fumbled. Blow it out your ass, Turner.
-
Agreed. Then again, passing worked with Orton. Until he gets back, though, we have to run the ball. We ran it all the way down to their 35 or something today, then we tried passing. What the f***?!!?
-
He doesn't respond to anyone. He keeps saying how the field position was bad for Rex. Hello idiot, had he freaking made some plays, we could have flipped field position. And don't even say the defense kept letting Tennessee get to the 45 or whatever yard line and punt, because there's a reason for that- the offense couldn't keep our defense off the field. I swear, it seemed like we had like 4 straight 3 and outs.
-
Because it was probably useless, like 800 of your posts. You better learn to like Orton- Rex won't be on the team next year and Orton is going to be our QB for 5-7 years. Get used to it.
-
I was watching LSU earlier today and Quinn Johnson, their FB who is a senior, looked good. Nasty guy, too. Stanley Havili, from my USC Trojans, is probably the most versatile FB in the nation, but we don't need one of those- we need a nasty, "down and dirty", blocking FB.
-
Forget that- I'd rather just go after TJ Houshmandzadeh who is a FA. Even if Cincinnati franchises him, I believe we can still trade for him- maybe give up a 3rd this year and a 4th next year, or something... TJ is currently leading the NFL in receptions.

So going by everything, how much cap space will we have going into 2009 free agency?
-
Rex? Come on. IMO, somebody should make one with Forte and Orton on it or something.
-
That's when it was. No wonder 2001 didn't sound right...
-
No, it doesn't hurt. But will it matter? It worked in 2001, but that's 2001. And you make a valid point- maybe we have a captain who actually understands the frustration from the crowd and isn't playing this year for the money.

Does calling them out change Babich's scheme, lose 3 years of age on Urlacher, and give us the 2007 Tommie Harris and Adewale Ogunleye?
-
Stop the run. Get pressure on Collins. We can't turn the ball over more then one time on offense. BAM
-
I understand they're 8-0. Yet, Detroit was a divisional opponent. The Titans are in the AFC. Would you rather win Sunday, then get miss the playoffs, or lose Sunday, and have a better chance at getting in the playoffs? You make the call.
-
I don't see why you want him to play. In the big scheme of things, this game means nothing compared to the rest of the season in which we still have Green Bay twice and Minnesota 1 more time. I'd rather he sat out and played next week, rather then he played this week, got his ankle crushed by Albert Haynesworth, and we missed the playoffs.
-
We can wager on it if you'd like.
-
No. Never, ever, ever, ever again.

Watch the game. Dvoracek has been blowing up runs all year and forcing runs out to where other guys can get tackles. Take off the glasses that make you just look at how many tackles he's had. Yes, he has been the best player, and IMO, he's a Pro Bowler. It says more about the state of the D, but he has been good, too. They haven't been good because they're doing what they're supposed to? Okay.
-
Our run D has been great, but our pass D has been horrible. However, it's going to be tough to throw in 40 and snow, and to add in that Collins has been mediocre at best, I think we'll eat him alive. IMO, Collins will be the worst QB we've faced all year, with only Frerotte being better.
-
Okay: Dvoracek has played great. He hasn't been medicore. Payne has been our best defensive player. Tillman and Vasher are good, I just think it's the scheme that Babich is pretty much telling them to let the WR catch the ball.

Grossman: 20-34, 197 yards, 1 INT Forte: 24 carries, 74 yards, 1 TD, 7 catches, 51 yards Olsen: 3 catches, 46 yards Clark- 4 catches, 34 yards Booker: 1 catch, 17 yards Davis: 3 catches, 28 yards Hester: 2 catches, 24 yards, 1 PR for TD Defense: 3 sacks, 2 INT's, 1 TD Gould: 1-1 FG's Bears 24-17

First bolded point- IMO, we must go DE in the 2nd round. Greg Middleton from Indiana is my guy. Larry English out of NIU is a very good, 3rd round player, too. If we go DE in 3rd, then Patrick Chung (safety) out of Oregon comes to mind. Very nice player. 2nd bolded point- (again) IMO, we need to go OG in the 1st round. Duke Robinson (Oklahoma, mid 1st round pick) or Herman Johnson (my boy out of LSU, late 1st to early 2nd round pick) would both work. 3rd- TJ Houshmandzadeh ( ) is a FA after the year and he'll demand about 7-9 million a year. I would love to sign him to a 4 year deal worth that. He's in his early 30's so 4 years sounds about right.
-
For once, we agree. Didn't they give him a 7-70 type contract before the year? Wow.
-
Don't like it? Become a Jaguars fan. Adios.
-
Stick up for yourself- never mind, I'll do it for you. Bears88, you get on here and don't make any sense half the time. Urlacher deserves to be ripped- he cried all offseason for an extension, he got one, and he doesn't have a sack or INT this year? That's called being selfish to an organization that invested tons into you from the start (high draft pick, then gave you a 9 or so year deal). Briggs, though, is fine if you ask me. I don't really know what he's being ripped for. I just think, for Urlacher to taunt the crowd, is horses**t on his part. Me and Connor (and a few others on here, possibly) pay our hard earned money to go watch the team, and we can voice our opinions if we'd like. Even Mariotti, Paige, and Plaschke on ATH agreed- Urlacher needs to shut up and play like he's getting paid what he is making.

At work today, I couldn't help but to sit back and think about the Bears future. Here's the way I see it. While our defense is aging, we do have some young, starting, good players: Briggs is 27. A. Brown is 29. Dvoracek is 25. Harris is 25. Idonije is 27. Vasher is 26. Tillman is 27. Payne is 24. Harrison is 24. Graham is 23. Our defensive back-ups have looked good for what they've done, too. Roach is 23. Steltz is 22. J. Williams is 24. McBride is 23. LaRocque is 22. Bowman is 23. Also, Urlacher, Briggs, Wale, Adams, and Urlacher still have some productive years left, too, IMO. The offense also has many young, starting, guys. Davis is 29. Forte is 22. Hester is 26. Lloyd is 27. Olsen is 23. Orton is 25. Williams is 23. Beekman is 25. Also, I think guys like Tait, St. Clair, Kreutz, Booker, and Clark still have some quality years left, as well. I like what our future holds. Garza is 29, Tait is 33, St. Clair is 31, and Kreutz is 31 so we definitley need young guys there for the future, but Beekman (like I said already) is 25, and hopefully Williams is a good player. Drafting another OT and an OG (hopefully with our 1st round pick) will help us do so. We have quality young guys on the DL (hopefully we draft a DE with one of our first 3 picks) like Harrison, Harris, and Idonije, we have a good looking QB (when healthy), a stud RB who's only 22, and a group of quality WR's. I'd love to see a fairytale ending to Urlacher's career, like in 2012 (I think that's when his deal is up) we win the Super Bowl and he can walk out on a high note. Thoughts?
