Technically, it should have been a TD- he was never touched and the ball was literally laying on the line.

He isn't some kind of awesome player. He is injury prone and I'd rather use him sparingly then use him a bunch and him get hurt.

And how many INTs, smart-guy? We all know he played a crap game today, but don't even act like Rex hasn't had 9 of those in 2 years, either.

Okay, this isn't a talk about how crappy we played today, it's a Forte appreciation thread. There's only 1700000 other threads just made today on the same topic.

Quit blaming Turner. 1. Orton checked out of that 3rd and 1 play to pass (it was supposed to be a run). 2. Turner called for that play to Booker, it was open, and Orton couldn't make the completion.

Matt Forte is a stud. I loved this guy coming out and he reminds me of Brian Westbrook- he can catch it and run it, and he could have 3 TDs so far rushing. This guy is going to be our back for a long time now, barring injuries. Thoughts?

This sucks, big time. McKie, had an awful game. To start, he didn't get that 4th and 1, which is fine because he probably figured he'd be the last person to touch that ball. Next, he had those 2 consecutive penalties, first the false start, then the holding on the Forte 20 yard run. I knew we should have taken a FB with 1 of our 4 7th rounders.

Good thing we traded Chris Harris for s***. I blame Lovie. If he truly does approve the defensive plays, he has to approve of the offensive plays.

Orton looks okay, I'd like to see Hester, Forte, and Clark get more touches (receiving touches for Forte, I mean). Forte looks pretty solid. The defense looks great. Olsen sucks and is soft as hell. Shines? I'm going to say Tommie. Carolina will surely have atleast 1 starting OL out today, I think he takes advantage and has 2 sacks. Slumps? I'm going to say Forte. Not really slumps, but just now that people expect him to have 120 yards and a TD every game. Today, I say he'll have under 100 yards on the ground but I think he'll have a receiving TD.
