  1. The 2009 draft started today and we had the #1 overall pick. From everything you have heard about, what you expect is our biggest weakness, etc., who would you take and why?
  2. Is it true CC and Gumble are the play by play guys? If so, that's BS.
  3. Oher would have been a top 10 pick if he had come out this past year. Crabtree won the Biletnikoff and the Warfield as a freshman last year. He caught 22 TDs with almost 2000 yards. Harper threw 27 TDs and only 6 INTs as a junior last year. Stafford threw for 19 TDs and 10 INTs last year along with 2500 yards. Also had 3 rushing TDs.
  4. Now let's look at his TDs from 1996-2007, in order. 1 0 6 8 6 1 3 3 16 4 5 3
  5. I'd puke just because we're fine with our corps through 2012 at the least. I'd go after Michael Crabtree (Texas Tech, WR), Michael Oher (OT, Ole Miss), Cullen Harper (Clemson, QB), or Matthew Stafford (Georgia, QB). Of course, Crabtree, Harper, and Stafford all have the option after the year to go pro- neither of the 3 are seniors.
  6. When you pride yourself on defense (and supposedly running the ball), you don't trade one or both pieces of one of the best CB tandems in football.
  7. Hey Bears88, how many of your posts have been longer then 25 words?
  8. Does anybody know how many picks we have next year? Thanks.
  9. Again, he is kind of right. We have a rookie RB out of a small school, we have no WRs, our OC blows, and we have the same OL as last year. IMO- we could end up with the 3rd or 4th overall pick next year.
  10. Tank, in other words, said Rex sucks. Moose, in other words, said Rex sucks. And you, who loves getting on your knees for Rex, ripped Tank but you're agreeing with Moose? Wow.
  11. BP #1- Then why were you defending him when he was boo'ed at Soldier Field? BP #2- He obviously is concentrating if nfo's statements are right- he's having a great TC/pre-season.
  12. So then he sits on the bench. By no means does that make a draft with him in it good- he makes it worse.
  13. Thanks genius. I thought all early round picks are supposed to work out? Thanks for clearing it up. Look, I know there are some bad ones but he makes a killing does JA off 2-5 round picks. Period.
  14. What's there to feel sorry about? The fact that his team is arguably the most talented in the conference?
  15. Why not? What exactly has he done for us? Because he has looked good in TC and workouts, he gets excused? We shouldn't call it a waste because of Airese Curry then, because he looked good in practices, right?
  16. If Rex wasn't on the Bears, he'd be a 3rd string QB on another team. What's the difference?
  17. I meant the 3 worst drafts consecutively were 2001-2003. 2003 was a good draft, but 2001 and 2002 diminish it.
  18. Good to see they called Leon Joe- "Joe Leon". I think it's safe to say that the worst 3 drafts in order are 2001-2003. 2004 was the best in recent memory, especially to get 3 key contributors to the 2006 team (Berrian, Tommie, Vasher), and even Leon was a good ST guy.
  19. There are tons of picks that I hate by JA, yet most of them work out (hated the Hester pick, wanted Leonard Pope instead). The Okwo pick was one of the few non-1st round picks that didn't work out, apparently.
  20. Tommie, Hester, Tillman, Berrian, etc. Not really. 1st round? Probably. Early rounds? Not so much.
  21. Finally, we might get a chance to see what DD can do.
  22. No, teams passed on him because they thought there were OTs better then him.
  23. That's what I said yesterday in the Turnstile thread.
  24. I can't believe we're back to square 1 in terms of our OL. Next year I hope we spend money to get a big name OT and then we draft an OT with one of our 1st 3 picks. I'm so sick of having such a bad line that it comes down to getting Fred Revolving Door Miller- the guy is a piece of crap in terms of being a football player and he might just make us worse. I'd consider starting freaking Kirk Barton over that puddle of moose piss. Speaking of which, how many picks do we have in the 2009 draft?
  25. And yet if Rex had thrown for 2 TDs and 100 yards, you'd be giving us the ol' "told you so" BS.
