He showed progress last season, first off. Secondly, he could be our #1 because if Booker drops off because of age, Bradley would have to be the #1. I hope to the Lord we aren't asking Hester to be our #1- the dude can't even learn the playbook.
-
Hester- be ready to get yours. Great news, no more BS distractions.
-
Exactly what we expected. Look, it's great he has the confidence that we'll go to the Super Bowl. But you can't go to the Super Bowl with absolutely no offense (which we have). Our special teams is great (or how great will it be without Ayanbedejo?) and our defense is good (when healthy, which is like 3% of the time). If our special teams drops off because of the loss of Ayan, if Urlacher's neck starts hurting him- if Tommie plays 80% every game like he did the past year- if Tillman and Vasher get hurt- when Mike Brown gets hurt, and if our offense sucks as much as I think it will, we're looking at a 4-12, 5-11, or 6-10 year.
-
Terrible news. He might have been our #1 if healthy. Well, what else is new?
-
GO.AWAY.YOU.JACK@$$.
-
That. Everybody keeps saying "if our defense stays healthy we'll be a 9 win/10 win team". How is that going to happen? We KNOW for a fact that Mike Brown will get hurt. It's just a fact, and it sucks. Urlacher- who knows what will happen with him especially with his unsatisfaction of his contract and coming off a major surgery. Tommie will play probably every game like usual but he's always playing 70-90 percent. Unfortunately, I only see us winning 7 games at the max, yet our floor could be 3 or 4 wins.
-
Because they got 12-15 sacks this offseason without getting rid of anyone.
-
Actually, when we were 1-4 or whatever it was back in 2005 and Mike Brown said "It's like we suck", it worked.
-
There was a post awhile back that said Freeney, Sanders, and another important member of the Colts may not even be in action on Opening Night.
-
That's pretty nice. I'm an avid autograph-collector, but while cards aren't my thing (I go for footballs, helmets, baseballs, etc- you know, the big stuff), this is pretty cool. If it was 9/15 it'd be worth so much more. Good find, anyway.

I agree. If you asked a casual Raiders fan to name 3 of our WRs, I bet they could name Hester, maybe Booker, and that's about it. Our QB situation still isn't very good, our defense is suspect since they're so prone to injuries (Brown, Urlacher's neck/back), our offensive line looks better then what it did last year however the players that are making it look better are young and will more then likely struggle a bit, AP is average, Forte is a rookie out of a small school, and Wolfe needs big time progression, and we still have THEE worst offensive coordinator in football, period. But, if Rex can play like he did in 2006, if the D can be better then last year, if Hester can make strides, if Bradley can play a full season (anything more then 13 games), and if Forte can show why he was ranked higher than Mendenhall in some pre-draft scouting reports, then we have a good chance at a 9-7, maybe even a 10-6, season.

I don't want this a**hole who can't make up his mind on our team.
-
I thought you'd be more sensible then this since at the time we were on topic of talking about getting Housh and Garrard- I meant as in to go out and spend it on a player who wasn't with us last year, like Faneca, etc.
-
I wouldn't doubt you, but that's even 1 per which is good considering cap space.
-
In our dreams...
-
We had 31 in cap space this year and did dick with it. I knew he signed an extension but when I looked to make sure under "recent transactions", nothing came up. Best NFL commercial ever. Well, it's 2nd, behind the one that aired during SB42- "AND THE BEARS ARE GOING BACK TO THE SUPER BOWL!!" My house went nuts.
-
Me? Or is "you" directed at all of us?
-
I agree. Give him whatever. We don't need this s***ty distraction going into camp. Same goes with Hester. Give him his money. That way, next year we can sign Houshmandzadeh and Garrard. I know Garrard probably won't leave JAX but if he gets out into the market I think we should and will give him whatever he wants.
-
And maybe even 1 or 2 games in the postseason...or 3 or 4. Just not this year.
-
Is that 3.7 per or 3.7 over 4? If it's 3.7 over 4, that's a steal.
-
I'd like the move. We aren't sure if AP is going to be 100% healthy, and even if he is, it wouldn't hurt for 1-2 years to put him on ST only. Moving Wolfe to the practice squad and keeping AP along with Forte and Jordan would be very stupid. All 3 runners are equal in terms of that they are all power backs in a way. Wolfe gives us that change of pace, screen type of guy.
-
We got ATL, NO, TB, and HOU, too. We also got CAR once. However, I agree. 1100 yards would be a nice solid rookie year.
-
Obviously, yes, he's the key. But the D needs to learn how to move on without him. He obviously will never play more then 10 games in a season in his career again. I'm surprised he even has an ACL or achillies anymore..
-
He was great on 1000 the other day. The score is in ruins now with him gone and 1000 will just continue to dominate the ratings department for Chicago sports talk.

Boredom caught up to me and that night there was an open draft. I joined. I drafted Burleson, Ward, and Williams because all 3 had 7+ TDs last year.
