  2. How does Elton Brand sound? TT, Hinrich, and our 1st next year...
  3. Better yet, what will we do without your beloved Rex Grossman. Honestly, we don't need Leftwich. I think it speaks for itself and everyone in this thread has covered the reasons. He's never healthy, and when people say he is, he isn't very good. I'd really like to us make a push for a quality QB in next year's draft or next year's free agent class, because I'm personally sick of this mediocre Chicago Bears QB bulls***.
  4. Actually, Love will be lucky if he falls out of the top 10.
  5. Curious as to what he got- probably around $10 or so a year. Like ASHKUM said, hopefully we can get Hester and Urlacher extensions now.
  6. Trade Grossman, Bradley, Monk, Alex Brown, and our 2010 7th round pick to IND for Manning, Wayne, and Freeney. Then, trade our OL and Love to NE for their OL and Belichick. Then, trade Ricky Manning to SD for Cromartie.
  7. Bears 431 to -9. Urlacher will return 3 picks for TDs, and Orton will throw for 17 TDs, one to himself.
  8. Chris Weinke, Kenechi Udeze, JP Losman, Robert Gallery, Erasmus James, Fabian Washington, and Cadillac Williams were all 1st round busts, too.
  9. Then we'd be fine, as Jones wouldn't be "the guy" here, either, as he'll have Forte and Wolfe, too.
  10. It's a tough question to answer, really. I mean, we have McGowan, an undrafted FA, as one of our starting safeties. You know Mike Brown will go down to an injury, so who will be his replacement, Steltz, or Manning, or will Danieal be a CB this year, as it's been talked about? Either way, it's still not good- not even close to Mike Brown. The linebackers are fine, as long as Urlacher's neck/back holds up. We have tons of depth here, with Okwo and Williams. The CB's are fine and we tons of depth after Tillman and Vasher- Manning Jr, Bowman, and McBride. The QB situation is what it is- a mess. It always will be. We should definitley make a push next offseason to sign/trade for a big time QB, or draft one with our first round pick. I'm actually confident about the RB situation. Forte, I think, is going to be good. I think if he can average 4.3 ypc, we'll be fine, as long as Wolfe gets his "trick" plays in and runs them to good will, and AP does his thing. I believe in 2 years, Forte can get his ypc total close to 5. The WR's aren't good, though. We have major depth there, except with a bunch of mediocre players, at best- Lloyd, Bradley, Monk, Bennett, Hester, Rideau, Booker, Rashied, and Hass. There's too many questions with these guys- Lloyd: can he be a team guy, can he not be a cancer, can he catch it consistently, can he fill Berrian's shoes as the deepthreat? Bradley: can he ever not be hurt? Monk/Bennett: can they have some sort of impact? If so, can they do other things a WR needs to do, like block? Hester: can he develop route running skills? Rideau: who are you? Booker: can you be a mentor, but at the same time possibly be the #1? Can you be the go-to guy? Rashied: can you keep up what you've done for us over the years? Can you catch it more consistently? Hass: can you even make the team? If so, can you be a poor man's Wes Welker? The TE's have to be huge for us- Olsen has to contribute more (throw him the damn ball, Turner!!), and Clark has to keep up what he's done throughout his career. If both guys can catch around 40-50 balls, I think we'll be OK. All in all, I'm guessing a 5-11/6-10 season, looking at a top 8 selection for next year's draft.
  11. Can't believe there wasn't a thread for this yet. Out 2 weeks, anyway.
  12. Somebody will pick him up, and I hope it's Detroit.
  13. Sign Jones, use him and Forte as the 1-2 punch, and use Wolfe in some screens (and some run plays to switch it up). Put AP on ST primarily, unless there's an injury to Jones (which is likely), Forte, or Wolfe. Go get him, JA!
  14. I really hope Lloyd is Berrian-esque this year as that would help a ton. I agree on Hass. I do, too, but if St. Clair is the better fit and Williams is a struggling rookie, which is likely, then I'd want St. Clair to stay there. Agree on the QB. I'm not so sure I am at ease with either of the 2. Orton is probably safer, but when Rex is on, he's on. I agree. I think if Hillenmeyer plays poorly, I think we can see Williams and him splitting time.
  15. All I have to say is- I can't find the link, but I remember awhile back that Donaghy admitted to fixing a win for the Knicks. Well, damn him, because that could have been the difference between getting Oden or Durant. Instead, we got Noah. So f*** Tim Donaghy.
  16. So is Avery Johnson. Maybe since we couldn't get D'Antoni, we went with the option of who else was involved with the Suns. Hopefully he brings the same style that D'Antoni would have.
  17. And I wanted Mike Williams, WR out of USC instead of Benson. Could have gone wrong either way.
  18. BTW, no to Houston. Don't forget, they drafted Steve Slaton, too.
  19. and there it is from espn.com NAH NAH NAH NAH, NAH NAH NAH NAH, HEY HEY HEY, GOOOOOOOD BYEEEEEEE!!!! FORTE
  20. Isn't there a thread already dedicated to this same topic?
  21. Yeah, because putting Favre on the cover will definitley be a huge marketing loss. Outside of Chicago and Minnesota, nobody hates Favre. In Detroit, may be a bit. But, the 10-20 year olds will still buy this game, regardless, and the intense geek gamers who are like 40 will still buy the game. Actually, this could be a boost to marketing as Favre is a role-model/hero for many kids, and many kids across the country love him. I think your comment about "Packer fans not having TVs" is kind of ridiculous. Just because it's Wisconsin? Come on.
  22. Then that just helps prove my point even more. Here are some stats I dug up, for the playoffs: Jordan FG% MIN REB STL FT% FTPG REBPG PTSPG 49 7474 1152 376 83 9.9 6.4 33 Kobe FG% MIN REB STL FT% FTPG REBPG PTSPG 45 5731 741 194 80 7.7 5 25 Again, never compare the 2. Oops, almost forgot rings- MJ: 6, Kobe: 3 So, yet again, never compare the 2.
