Very cool. It really gets me ready for the 2008 season!
-
I hope he has enough money! I really hope it works out for ATL. It's sort of a shame the way that franchise went. From in the NFC title game 2 or 3 years ago to a team that looks like it'll be a sub .500 team for 4 or 5 years. Matt Ryan will be meeting OGun close up this year.
-
Put it this way, if they take Love, Paxson needs to be shot. Period. Rose. As whoever said, you don't win w/o a PG. I bet MIL and ATL would have much rather went with CP3 or Deron Williams at this point, don't ya think? Plus, what team in the past 7 or 8 years has won without a PG?

TD passes- Orton (17) TD runs- Forte (11) TD receptions- Olsen (5) Rush yards- Forte (1015) Receiving yards- Hester (670) Pass yards- Orton (2670) Tackles- Briggs (155) Interceptions- Vasher (8) Forced Fumbles- Tillman (9) Sacks- Anderson (11) Your turn.

Honestly, who cares what ESPN thinks. These were the same b***ards who's 8 "experts" all said we'd get smoked by the Aints in the conference championship. If everyone is healthy, we'll be 10-6. Even w/o Mike Brown, we'll still be a solid 9-7 or 8-8.
-
Totally agree. I hope to see more 2TE packages this year, which will result in hopefully a huge year for Greg. Even if we can't find a way to get him very many catches, he can be a very good redzone target. I'll take 55 catches and 5 TDs from him.
-
Fair enough. Personally, I think he wasn't worth all that money, and that a kicker like Vinatieri should be the highest paid. And, if he thinks he's worth that, he's fooling himself and all of us.
-
And when team's start kicking it out of bounds, then who's the HR hitter? Look, I agree that Robbie is a steady, solid K. But what if the game's on the line and it's 51 yarder? What are we going to do, just throw it in the endzone and pray? May as well, seeing how he can't make one outside out 49.
-
Agree. First off, we can't just let Hester walk. Put it any way you'd like, he's the best player ever at his position. I understand he's a KR/PR, but he's the BEST PLAYER EVER at his position. You don't just let a guy with his talent and ability walk, especially when he showed signs at the end of last year that he could become a solid #1 somebody for many years, obviously barring injuries. I think we pay him. Offer him 6 years, $48 million. Take it or leave it, that's not that bad, only 8 a year, and it's reasonable. I think he'll except that. Tommie, the same thing. He is a such a force and he can be argued as the best player on our defense when healthy. Sacks doesn't even start to describe what a DT does. He plugs up the middle, and is a fairly fast guy, and can make a tackle even when a RB is running away. He is so strong and demands double teams, and he deserves every dime he gets. Like Mad said, he's good on and off the field. Anderson should get a solid offer, but don't worry about him until we have Hester, Urlacher, and Tommie settled. Anderson should be a reasonable $6 million a year for 5 years, maybe more if he shows this year he has a chance against the run. Urlacher, should get his money. Give the man what he wants. Future HOFer, will have his number retired, and has been great since the first day of his first mini camp. Although, I will say he should have accepted the $5 million signing bonus. How much more could he want? Unbelieveable... Not as excited about this signing as everyone else is. He isn't worth this money, as he's made ZERO, I repeat ZERO, kicks over 50 yards. Many say he hasn't gotten a shot. Well, maybe because the coaching staff knows he can't make them. We could pick up any K and he can do what Robbie has done. Sure, maybe not make as many kicks as he does, but I'll take a couple more misses inside 50 with more makes over 50.
-
And Tommie.
-
I think they'll get to Tommie next. Then, inevitably, I think they'll give Hester one after his 1st return for TD of the year, probably around 5 years, $35 million. Then, I think they'll deal with Urlacher at the end of the year, like somebody already mentioned.

Not only the depth at DE, but the depth on the whole DL.

If I had to make a defense, mine would be exactly like yours. Good post.
-
My bad. I thought since the first post was May 5, I assumed everyone's was late.
-
IMO, this is stupid. Who even cares? It takes a good team to make the passes, catch the ball, block well, run well, and do everything well, even if they know where defenders and whoever else will be. Everyone tries to get an advantage, it's just this time they were caught. If this was any other team besides New England, it'd be like "ehh whatever", but since it's NE and they almost went undefeated, everyone is all worked up about this and now they hate the team just for this.

Orton Forte Booker, Hester, Bennett Olsen

Same here. Just for something that has a good chance of not happening, I'm not going to pay so much more for my season tickets. Sorry...
-
Put it this way- too much. The biggest thing you get for a prize is SB tickets, and it'll be awhile until we get back there, so in all, you're wasting your money. But, do whatever you want.

Yes sir. Thank you all for late B-Day wishes.
-
Good riddance. Used to be good, now he's awful. Oh well... I think Steltz is impressing, otherwise, I think we would have kept Arch around a bit longer.
-
Wrong. Benson is out on a boat somewhere. That, or trying to wash the pepper spray out of his eyes...

Here's an idea- GET YOUR ASS TO PITTSBURGH!!

Forte could help Bears regain a punishing ground game
