  1. Does anybody know when the press conference for all our picks will be? I know the Williams one is tomorrow at 10:45 CT.
  2. Don't say we didn't need a TE. Gilmore was one of the more under-rated players last year. However, I think we should have went OG or LB there, and taken a TE in the 7th.
  3. I like the Barton pick. Better title game and he's a 4th or 5th. Also, I love the Monk pick. When healthy, he's a good red zone guy and could catch 400+ yards for us next year. BTW, I'm surprised we didn't take a FB, especially Culcrick. We seemed to be in love with Big10 and SEC guys, I wouldn't of minded Culcrick, and just didn't draft that LaRogue or whatever the hell his name is. Speaking of drafting alot of SEC, I like that.
  4. I agree. I bet we get the 115th pick and a 7th. Good thing we're not targeting Schuening.
  5. Yeah, just saw that. Maybe he didn't know he died, but that was huge news, so I doubt it.
  6. Agreed. However, if Schuening gets selected, I wouldn't mind Robert Felton out of Arkansas, Mike Fladell out of Rutgers, or Oneil Cousins out of UTEP, who is still on the board, surprisingly. Colt Brennan was a Heisman finalist, maybe we should draft him. He is dead. JACKSONVILLE, Fla (AP) — Heath Benedict, a two-time Little All-American offensive lineman at Newberry College in South Carolina, was found dead on a couch in his Jacksonville home.
  7. No kidding. Schuening still on the board, I'd love to see the Bears snatch him in the 4th. BTW, does anybody know when the press conference will be for all the selections for the Bears? Time and date, please. He'll be the #3 RB. AP will go to ST only, barring injuries. Just a guess...
  8. Simpson is gone, but he went to CIN, not WSH. I'd much rather take Kevin O'Connell from SDSU or Josh Johnson from SD. Dixon seems like a more complete Colt Brennan- played well because of the system. EDIT- And the damn Pats take O'Connell. Sounds kind of like Dusty coming out of school, but take away the weed arrest and put an assault arrest there...
  9. Yeah, I saw that. I was just going by what espn.com showed, and they said 6'1. BTW, if he's anything even close to Hines Ward, he'll become a favorite here in Chicago. BTW, Zuttah and Schuening both still on the board.
  10. It's OK. Horrible class of QBs next year, but atleast then we could take Michael Crabtree, stud WR out of Texas Tech.
  11. Hell, I probably would have rather had Caldwell out of Florida, but Lovie and JA obviously saw something. Hopefully it turns out for the best... I agree. Peyton Hillis is the best FB in the draft, and probably followed by Owen Schmitt, yet they take the 3rd best here. Wow.
  12. Hester in the 3rd? What a joke. Bears take Earl Bennett with their first 3rd. Like the pick, Bilitnekoff Award nominee, but I would of rather had Early Doucet, who is still on the board. 6'1, 200 lbs., last year, he caught 75 balls for 800+ yards. In 2006, he caught 82 balls for 1140+ yards, and in 2005, he caught 79 balls for 870+ yards.
  13. 9 CT First 4 picks have gone like this: DET (trade with MIA)- Kevin Smith, RB, UCF STL- John Grego, OG/OT, Toledo MIA (trade with DET)- Kendall Langford, DE, Hampton CAR- Charles Godfrey, CB, Iowa ATL- Chevis Jackson, CB, LSU NE, then us. I see us going Doucet, then probably either Zuttah, or best OG available EDIT- And we go with Bennett. I called that one...
  14. If Schuening, Caldwell, and Doucet all magically get taken with 3 of the first 6 3rd round selections, I wouldn't mind seeing us take Carl Nicks. Many had him as an early 2nd rounder, OT out of Nebraska. However, I doubt we'd take another OT when OG, WR, QB, and maybe even DT are all bigger needs. Maybe Earl Bennett out of Vandy if Caldwell and Doucet go?
  15. The team's before the Bears in the 3rd are as follows: MIA, STL, DET, CAR, ATL, and NE. MIA may need a WR. STL really doesn't, neither does DET. CAR could use one, but it's doubtful. ATL will probably go for DT here. CAR could go with a QB here, although WR is possible. And anything is possible with NE. Therefore, we have a good shot at Caldwell or Doucet. You complain Forte is a reach, yet you want Colt Brennan in the 3rd when he has a good chance to be Mr. Irrelevant. :lol
  16. We'll probably get another OT in the draft, maybe in the 6th or 7th.
  17. Is it Forte's picture? To me, it's my old Hester picture as small as the Forte one it should be. Thanks!
  18. I'm hoping you just forgot the green there. I'll pass on Johnson. Take O'Connell in the 5th.
  19. Jesus Christ. Long day at The Cell makes you forget a lot, I guess.
  20. Neither do I. Good points. As you can see by the avatar, my man crush on Forte is growing rapidly...
  21. Totally forgot about Wolfe. Forte could wear 24 or 26, I suppose...
