  1. That still doesn't matter. If Crabtree wasn't good, he wouldn't be catching all these passes. So what if he does get the ball thrown to him alot because of the system, he still has to haul in the pass, and he does that. Not to mention he's a big WR, like 6'4, correct me if I'm wrong. The more and more I think about it, we should either trade down and get Cherilous or Albert, then go with a QB and a RB in the 2nd round. Maybe Albert, Flacco (if ATL passes on Ryan, Flacco will go to them early in the 2nd), Forte? I would like that. Then in the 3rd, we could go with the best WR available (Thomas, Simpson?) and an OG, like Schuening, Young, or Rachal.
  2. If we don't go with Mendenhall and have an absolutely terrible season, Chris Wells will be the pick, if we have a top 3. And I agree with BearSox- Tebow will be an awful pro.
  3. Just a correction- it's Troy WILLIAMSON, not WILLIAMS.
  4. I agree with you, too. Benson deserves another chance, but if we draft Mendenhall, atleast we won't go the rest of the season if Benson completely blows or just gets injured with a mediocre 1-2 set of RB's including Peterson and Wolfe. Atleast then we'll have Mendenhall already and then we could draft a WR, QB, or whatever our biggest need is in the 09 draft without having to worry about drafting a RB. However, I wouldn't be disappointed if we went with Albert or Williams, and then Forte in the 2nd/3rd, or Slaton/Smith/Choice in the 4th.
  5. It's either him, Otah, Mendenhall, or bust.
  6. If you need it, type in puke and put a colon before it. That's true. If we could trade our 1st and 2nd this year, and maybe a 4th next year, we could still do this: 1. Long/Clady 3. Henne, QB 3. Simpson, WR 4. Slaton, RB 5. Fleullen, DT 6. Wolfe, S 7. Lichtensteiger, OG/C
  7. In a mock I did for another site, I had the Bears taking him in the 5th. He and his family are in my prayers
  8. Well, I'll post mine, while we're at it: 1. Chris Williams, OT, Vanderbilt 2. Matt Forte, RB, Tulane 3. Chad Henne, QB, Michigan 3. Jerome Simpson, WR, Coastal Carolina 4. Lionel Dotson, DT, Arizona 5. John Grego, OT/OG, Toledo 6. David Roach, S, TCU 7. Ryan Grice-Mullens, WR, Hawaii
  9. I'm starting to believe that we should just trade down and get an extra pick. We have too many needs and not enough picks. Maybe trade with a team like JAX, who might feel their pass rusher might get taken before their pick at 26. 1. Otah, OT/Albert, OG/OT 2. Laws, DT 2. Forte, RB 3. Henne, QB 3. DeCoud, S 4. Hubbard, WR 5. Schmitt, FB 6. Hardie, DE/LB 7. Grice-Mullens, WR
  10. And if you're a team in desperate need of a QB, like Baltimore, then Matt Ryan can go on your list.
  11. Felix Jones = possible slip into the 2nd and if he's there for us, he better be a Bear.
  12. Grew up in Lansing, IL, then in Dyer, IN Now live in Beecher, IL
  13. I like this. It could be the difference between getting Schuening/Rachal, rather then getting an OG that was behind Chilo or Roy, or whatever player for that matter.
  14. I like the idea of getting him in the 3rd round, but I think if we get him, it'll be a reach in the 2nd.
  15. Maybe this test is pointless. Briggs- 15 PRO BOWLER, Tommie- 11 PRO BOWLER, Vasher 13- top 10 CB
  16. When I (or anyone else) do that, it means I completely agree. If Dallas can't get the trade done with Miami to get DMC, and Mendy is still there for us, we should explore a trade to get their 2 1st's. Maybe with those we could go Albert/Otah and then Hardy/Doucet.
  17. Dude, come on. Terrence Metcalf got an 11 and he's an absolute star!! Not to mention St. Clair with an 18!!!
  18. NE has SF's 7th overall pick however NE lost their actual pick which was the 31st, I believe.
  19. That's what I'm thinking. If it's a 4-6 round pick, that's still awesome considering we pick very well in rounds 4 and 5.
  20. Without a trade with Dallas or any other team: 1. Mendenhall, RB 2. Nicks, OT 3. Simpson, WR 3. Rachal, OG With a trade to Dallas: 1. Otah, OT 1. Hardy, WR 2. Laws, DT 3. Schuening, OG 3. DeCoud, S
  21. I'm also a Duke fan, however, I see no way they could win it all. I'm just happy they beat Belmont today by the slimmest of margins.
