  1. I meant to be ET, not CT. I'll edit my original post, though. Thanks
  2. I'm getting the feeling, too. I hope we have a good FA signing year (Berrian, Faneca, and maybe Bryant Johnson) and a good draft (Otah, Flacco, Adarius Bowman). If we can do that, we'll win 6-8 games. Have another good FA year and draft next year, like a RB (Knowshon Moreno?), and we become a 10-12 win team.
  3. 12 ET tonight is a start to a period that is going to be awfully important. John Clayton says Alan Faneca won't sleep tonight and that he expects Faneca to get calls from only certain teams.
  4. That he is. In a perfect world, this mock is right and Otah will be there in round 2. However, if Baker and Otah slip into the 2nd as this mock projects, Otah may as well go to Miami, St. Louis, or Carolina, and the same goes for Baker.
  5. If we lose Berrian, our 2008 season is going to be loooong one.
  6. I could see us doing something like this: trade our 2nd this year and our 1st next year to a team like Denver and getting Ryan Clady at 12 and Mendehall at 14. 1. Ryan Clady, OT, Boise State 1. Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Illinois 3. Adarius Bowman, WR, Oklahoma State 3. Chilo Rachel, OG, USC 4. Quinten Demps, S, UTEP 5. Josh Johnson, QB, San Diego 6. Barry Richardson, T, Clemson 7. Maurice Purify, WR, Nebraska I'd loooove this.
  7. If we can take Mendenhall and still get Otah, I'd be all for that.
  8. What a joke. Many wanted the Bears to take him, yet I wasn't too high on him (pardon the pun).
  9. If Phillips is there in the 2nd round and we don't choose him, you can count on 1 remote controller going through a TV.
  10. Hardy, Doucet, and Manningham are the only ones who have the chance to be a 1st. Devin Thomas is likely to go early to mid 2nd. I like Nelson as well, however, I'd probably rather have Jerome Simpson out of Coastal Carolina or Andre Caldwell out of Florida.
  11. What about Marcus Griffin out of Texas?
  12. http://walterfootball.com/draft2008.php
  13. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3265157 Former 1st rounder getting traded now for a 6th rounder. What a shame. I'm afraid this could be the precursor of the Vikings making a hard push for Berrian when the time comes.
  14. Except Rashied is a FA, I believe, so we may not have him much longer.
  15. A lot of people with Devin Hester jerseys would be awfully pissed b/c they'd have to put a D on Devin's game jersey if they took Jacob. I like the guy, but I'd only take him in the 6th or 7th.
  16. I heard he will struggle in the 4-3 defense. Plus, if we trade him, we probably give up a 2nd or a 3rd. I'd rather just keep Hillenmeyer, Williams, Okwo, and Urlacher and then whoever we draft.
  17. I'm starting to cool down on my man love for Flacco, and I'd rather go S, either Quinten Demps, or Marcus Griffin in round 2. Our big board in the 3rd for QBs should look like this... 1. Flacco 2. Henne 3. Johnson 4. Woodson 5. Brennan
  18. If Flacco doesn't show JA or Lovie what they want to see, then yes, I'd be fine with it. Bowman, Hawkins, Caldwell, Bennett, and MAYBE Thomas will be there when we pick for the 2nd time, so I wouldn't mind it, although, I'd rather see us go with WR in the 3rd and 7th, like a Caldwell, then a guy like Devone Bess from Hawaii or Maurice Purify from Nebraska
  19. The only difference (well maybe there are more) is that Cutler played in the best conference in the NCAA, the SEC.
  20. Not that I'm disagreeing with you b/c I looove Flacco, too, but I think Bomber's question is that if Flacco is so good, then why didn't he start ahead of Palko?
  21. James Hardy from Indiana or Early Doucet from LSU are the 1-2 WR's on most boards. After them, probably Malcom Kelly from Oklahoma, then Mario Manningham from Michigan, then Adarius Bowman from Oklahoma State, and then Devin Thomas from Michigan State. However, none of those 6 are in anybody's top 20, except some have Kelly going to Buffalo at 11.
  22. I know this has nothing to do with anything, but maybe his helmet is too tight. It makes him look like he's very uncomfortable, and not to mention, the perspiration always evaporates on the inside of his visor and makes it foggy with water droplets everywhere. Maybe it's time to lose the tight helmet and/or the visor...
  23. I agree, but when does JA actually go with our biggest need? He went S when we needed CB in 2006, then KR/PR instead of CB (yes, Hester was a CB, I know, but we drafted him intending for him to be a KR/PR). You and I are the only ones who think that about Benson, but I'm just sayin', Nicks and Schuening might be equal to Otah and Rachel, as Otah is better then Nicks (as of now) but Schuening is better then Rachel (as of now).
