  1. I'll take him, but in round 4. Round 3 should go OL then S (Rachel then Demps)
  2. Maybe, I have not read the scouting report on him, but he doesn't look too big, and yes, I did just assume he is a run first QB, but not b/c he is black, but b/c he is small, and no matter how dumb that sounds, I thought Rex was a run first QB b/c he was small before we drafted him and before I read the scouting report on him, also.
  3. Wow, I totally forgot him. Give him to Detroit at 15, give Talib to Dallas when they pick for the 2nd time, and Doucet to San Fran.
  4. You know, you're right. I want the guy with 9 TD's and 17 INT's. Who wouldn't want him?!
  5. If Flacco is gone, then what do you want us to do? Wait and take a guy in round 5 or 6?
  6. NFL 1 Miami-----------Matt Ryan, QB, Boston College 2 St. Louis--------Chris Long, DE, Virginia 3 Atlanta----------Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas 4 Oakland--------Sedrick Ellis, DT, USC 5 Kansas City----Jake Long, OT, Michigan 6 New York Jets--Vernon Golhston, DE, Ohio State 7 New England---Leodis McKelvin, CB, Troy 8 Baltimore------Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville 9 Cincinnatti-----Keith Rivers, OLB, USC 10 New Orleans--Mike Jenkins, CB, USF 11 Buffalo--------Dan Connor, LB, Penn State 12 Denver--------Kenny Phillips, S, Miami 13 Carolina-------Chris Williams, OT, Vanderbilt 14 Chicago--------Jeff Otah, OT, Pittsburgh 15 Detroit---------Ryan Clady, OT, Boise State 16 Arizona--------Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Illinois 17 Minnesota-----Derrick Harvey, DE, Florida 18 Houston-------Jonathan Stewart, RB, Oregon 19 Philedelphia---Malcom Kelly, WR, Oklahoma 20 Tampa Bay---Phillip Merling, DE, Clemson 21 Washington --Calias Cambell DE Miami 22 Dallas--------Felix Jones, RB, Arkansas 23 Pittsburgh---Brandon Albert, OG, Virginia 24 Tennessee---Limas Sweed, WR, Texas 25 Seattle-------Fred Davis, TE, USC 26 Jacksonville--James Hardy, WR, Indiana 27 San Diego---Pat Sims, DT, Auburn 28 Dallas-------Aqib Talib, CB, Kansas 29 San Fransisco--Early Doucet, WR, LSU 30 Green Bay----Curtis Lofton, LB, Oklahoma 31 New England---Forfieted 32 New York Giants--Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona Bears 1. Jeff Otah, OT, Pittsburgh 2. Devin Thomas, WR, Michigan State 3. Chad Henne, QB, Michigan 4. Chilo Rachel, OG, USC 5. Quinten Demps, S, UTEP 6. Steve Slaton, RB, West Virginia 7. Barry Booker, DT, Virginia Tech 8. Carlton Medder, OT, Florida
  7. Look, like I posted before, this was not meant to be an issue of race; just the simple fact that black QBs don't succeed compared to white QBs. Josh Johnson is a smaller VY, with probably better control on his passes. I don't want that.
  8. The majority isn't good. Leftwich, Tavaris Jackson, Kordell Stewart...
  9. Right. I forgot about Russell, and my guess it that KC takes Long/Clady with their 1st pick. If they do, then they will probably go with Flacco in round 2, or just wait until round 3 or 4 and take Booty or Brennan. I also think Baltimore could take Ryan with their first pick, but if not, Flacco is all but theirs in round 2.
  10. Not to sound racist or anything, but African American QB's have a hard time succeeding in the NFL (Vick, Vince Young, etc). I'd rather just go with Erik Ainge from Tennessee in round 5 or somethin', and with our first 4 picks, go Otah/Williams, Devin Thomas/LaVelle Hawkins, Chilo Rachel, and Quinten Demps. (that is, if Henne is gone with our 2nd rounder as well as Flacco)
  11. That may be. I think Flacco would be gone anyway to Atlanta in round 2, and if not them, maybe Oakland, KC, or Baltimore. Maybe even Carolina. However, if Flacco is still there when we draft, we will probably take him. If not, I wouldn't mind Henne, except I'd probably rather have Flacco more. Hell yeah, I'd take a 5th rounder for Griese. We got Anderson with a 5th rounder so maybe with 2 we'd strike it rich again...
  12. My guess, they sign Orton or Rex, just 1 of the 2, long term, but cheap. Something like 5 years, $15 million. They will be the backup (or starter depending on Henne's/Flacco's progression) to Henne/Flacco. BTW, I have not heard how much we resigned Rex for, has anyone?
  13. The deal is done, it's a year 1 deal http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=4400 Well, now that I know it's 1 year instead of 2, it looks like we'll still draft Henne or Flacco in round 2
  14. The deal is done, it's a year 1 deal http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=4400
  15. I hope it's resign Rex, have he and Orton battle it out for the #1, cut Griese before we need to pay him his 300K (what can we honestly get for him in a trade, a mousepad and a napkin?), have our draftee (Henne, Flacco) hold the clipboard and take up the speed of the game, and next year, maybe trade Rex or keep him, depending on the Henne's/Flacco's progression.
  16. Which means they'll probably go McFadden, then Flacco in round 2
  17. Phillip Rivers is the same QB then, minus the absolute cannon Flacco has.
  18. Thank god finally somebody saw it, too, so I'm not the only one who looks like a fool
  19. No, it's more like 1. Can run with only an OL 2. Most RB's can only do that 3. Look at 2006 if you don't believe me.
  20. No, there is no link. It was on SC today with Clayton. Am I the only who saw this? Somebody, please back me up...
  21. Exactly. I think his running style resembles everyone's most hated, Cedric Benson, so if you hate Ced, you will probably end up hating JJ. Not to mention there might be some harsh feelings for JJ toward the Bears after the sudden trade of TJ, his brother. I think signing Berrian should be our #2 priority, otherwise, with Johnson as our #1, we will be looking at a "WR with our first pick in the next year's draft" scenario.
  22. I agree with you; not to mention it looked like the "fumbling the snap" issue got solved.
  23. Sarcasm? Something tells me that they'll go OL, WR, OL, S with our first 4 picks now. We'll wait to draft a QB until next year since Rex's contract is 2 years.
