I'm just going to say this- if we choose to make a trade in the draft, it should be down. JA picks so much better in rounds 2-5 that moving up and losing a 2nd rounder to move up 4 or however many spots is a dumb idea. If we can trade our pick and get a team's 2nd, 3rd, and a 4th or 5th next year, then I'd be very happy. That way, we could go Cherilus, Flacco, LaVelle Hawkins, Radovich, and Demps with their first 5 picks. Yet, if we do move up, we probably have to give up our 2nd, and we now have 1 pick on the first day. In my mind, just keep the pick, or trade down.

I can't tell what side you're on here, but all I have to say is that the solution is giving Rex a 1 year contract at a cheap price of 2-3 million and having he and Orton battle it out, while our draftee (Flacco, Henne) sit back and take in the speed of the NFL game for a year. If Rex is that bad, we can trade him during the year for a box of kleenex, it's not that hard.

When he can't even hit 1000 one year, and hits 1200 the next, it should impress you a little. Maybe not tons, but a little it should.

Funny thing is, I was thinking the same thing yesterday as I went to the local Dick's Sporting Goods and purchased one. I think he's going to run for 1200+ yards next year.

I agree, relax Bears. While I think Rex may have more talent then Orton, he may have more flaws. These 2 need to battle it out, release Griese, and go from there.

I agree, and I have season tickets and a 67 inch plasma HD. You can't feel the energy on HD, here comments fans make, or any of that good stuff. However, watching the away games is great on HD

Well, whether or not you think he's "stoopid", the 3.6 GPA has to have some meaning. Even if he was in dumb classes, or he was getting help (aka cheating), 3.6 GPA means you have to have some idea of school. I like the Brant point. How bad can he possibly of been? He might have helped us fill a spot last year when Fred The Revolving Door Miller was getting toasted play after play.

No way Rachel is still there in round 5 and there's no way Flacco is there with our 2nd pick in the 3rd. Also, Zbikowski sucks. I've watched too many ND games to want him at all. He isn't fast, and he can't cover worth a damn.

Not to be a smart@$$, but Hester had a 3.6 GPA at Miami, so whether or not those were legit classes, he has to have some sense of the word "learn". Maybe he just isn't a good talker... BTW, Brant is not on the team anymore. He was released early last year if I remember correctly.

I don't believe he ever said he's terrible. He said he's overrated, which doesn't necessarily mean he thinks he's bad. However, this is good news, but I'd wait to deal with Tommie after this season.
