  1. Actually, I'm 29 and I've been going to the games since I was 7, which means the first year I started going was 1985. I saw them play, remember them pretty well, yet I just think that Belichick would have been able to take Payton out of the game (for the most part), and made Mac throw it around the yard, which is then I think NE would force some TOs. I think the NE OL right now would give Brady time, enough time, to be able to hit Welker, Moss, Stallworth, etc. Maybe the Bears do win, however, with the current speed of the game now, I just don't see how it would happen.
  2. He's been saying good stuff about a bunch of teams on different city radio stations. Obviously, if we would only have to give up Anderson/Brown, 2008 3rd rounder, 2009 2nd rounder, I'd do that in a heartbeat.
  3. The guy's these days are so much quicker; I just don't see how the 85 Bears could keep up with the current Pats.
  4. Sorry to say it, but the current Pats would win by 2-3 touchdowns
  5. I think Hardy and Doucet could be great 5-7 years into their NFL careers, so you may be able to put them under the category "STUDS" but other then those 2, all the rest look like they could be good, solid WRs for whatever teams pick them up.
  6. I guess we could just suck it up this year and take Michael Crabtree, stud WR from Texas Tech, in next year's draft (if he goes pro).
  7. Chargers vs. Saints http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3217426
  8. I play in Crete, Illinois, which is about 1 hour 20 minutes+ from Arlington Heights
  9. I have many: Super Bowl win in 85 Hester punt return for TD @ Arizona Urlacher takes over the game @ Arizona Gould FG to beat Seattle Safety vs New Orleans Berrian TD catch vs New Orleans Hester opening kickoff TD in Super Bowl To pick one, I'd have to go with the Hester Super Bowl TD, just b/c at the time of the Super Bowl win in 85, I was 7 and I have a vague memory of it. What is your favorite Bears moment ever?
  10. YES!! Usually it is at 12 or 1, but this is great news! My 30 year old softball league starts April 10, and the schedule just came out, and my game April 26 starts at 11 a.m., so I'll be home for the draft! Sweet!!
  11. I'm just saying that it's weird that Kiper has him on the board still when the Raiders go first in round 2 BTW, I have a question- what time is the draft on this year? I read some it's at 2 CT
  12. I just saw a mock somewhere, and it had a pretty good idea for the Bears: They had us trading our 1st rounder (#14) and one of our 3rd rounders (either #14 or #27) to Dallas for their first 2 rounders (#22 and #28). With that, we could take Otah at 22, and Hardy at 28
  13. I find it odd that he doesn't have Kenny Phillips, S from Miami, going to anybody in round 1
  14. Here's an idea: we don't need a damn RB. Benson ran well in 2006 behind an actual OL, and now the one year he doesn't have one and struggles, we all are calling for his head. We can't actually accuse him of "sucking" until he actually sucks behind an above average OL. Until then, he should be our RB. However, I don't think that means we don't get another RB in the offseason, which is why Jamaal Charles out of Texas in round 3-4 would be a solid pick-up.
  15. We don't need a constantly injured RB in Chris Brown.
  16. Which is why Max Starks may be option 2, after Faneca
  17. Who would fire a coach to get Dennis Green??
  18. Actually, since Dungy took over in 2002, they have had no 1st round busts. BTW, I wouldn't call Joseph Addai a SUPERSTAR quite yet, but he's well on his way. Also, you can put Bob Sanders in your list of great drafting, but he was taken in the 2nd round.
  19. Let's say we get Faneca through FA, and we draft Otah. We now would have 5 G's capable of starting with Brown, Garza, Metcalf, Beekman, and Faneca. Imagine if we drafted another one- we'd have 6! That's way too many. 4 is fine, so release Metcalf, sign Faneca, and with Garza, Brown, Beekman, and Faneca, we should be fine at G. Now on to T- Tait will be the starting LT, being backed up by St. Clair. The starting RT will be Otah or another T we take in the draft. With that being said, yes, taking another T might be needed, but not to a huge extent. I didn't think St. Clair played as bad as everyone thinks; surely not as bad as Fred "The Revolving Door" Miller.
  20. According to Todd McShay, Jerome Simpson, a guy many of us have never heard of out of Coastal Carolina, has been the most impressive guy in workouts. He is 6'0, 190, which doesn't cause the eyes to pop out of one's head, but he has the longest arms there, the 2nd biggest hands, and will go as high as the 3rd round; here's my updated mock draft: 1. Jeff Otah-Pittsburgh-OT 2. Joe Flacco-Delaware-QB 3. Jonathan Hefney-Tennessee-S 4. Jerome Simpson-Coastal Carolina-WR 5. Steve Johnson-Kentucky-WR/Adrian Arrington-Michigan-WR 6. Jamie Silva-Boston College-S 7. Xavier Omon-NW Missouri State-RB 8. Adrian Fleullen-FSU-DT
  21. Wait, is that how he meant the question?
