  1. You can also get by with a good LT who can actually block for himself.
  2. Sorry, I thought you were disagreeing with me.
  3. 1000% agree. He can develop under Kromer as a back-up. Albert is likely hitting the market. Sign him, take a RT in round 4 or 5, draft a G in round 1 or 2, and boom. Albert-rookie-Garza-Louis/Carimi-Carimi/rookie is not a bad start.
  4. So if those 5 are gone and Sheldon Richardson or Cordarelle Patterson fall because of that, take them? No. Trade down, get a 1st and a 3rd, take Eifert or Warford, and go WR/T/LB with your next 3 picks, preferrably T/LB/WR in order.
  5. You know what would help a LT block good pass rushers one on one? A LT who can actually block good pass rushers one on one. I'm not taking a G at 20 because he will help Webb. You can sign any tub of crap for $1m/year who will slide over and give the pass rusher a quick jab to help Webb. I'm taking him because he's f***ing good, just like I'm taking a LT at 20 if there is a good one there. As jason said, every year people say "well, don't upgrade there because he's average" or "forget taking a LT, he went from dogs*** to horses***." No. Draft or sign a guy who is actually GOOD. If this is the case, they should've kept Kyle Orton. What was the point of trading a lot for Jay Cutler if they were going to do NOTHING to help him for FOUR years. They traded for ONE good WR in 4 years for him. In the mean time, they drafted Webb, Louis and Carimi and signed losers like Chris Spencer and Chilo Rachal. Seriously? It's time to seriously upgrade the OL.
  6. If Johnson, Cooper, Joeckel, Warmack, and Fisher are gone at 20 and Fluker isn't worth it at 20 to Emery, I trade back. I don't take Austin just because. I let Houston or SF jump teams to pick Austin. With their 1st, I take Larry Warford maybe or Eifert. With my 2nd and 3rd then, I take the best T and best WR available.
  7. Oops, I thought the title said T not just LT.
  8. He reminds me of Sanzenbacher and Haas. Everyone wants the next Wes Welker. I'd rather get a good player than to try to match Welker (small, white, quick). Swope's hands are tiny. I'll take Boyce or Wheaton in the 4th over some small white guy in the 5th.
  9. Goodwin did a 4.29. Austin did the 4.25.
  10. 0% chance Clady is not a Bronco come September 2013.
  11. If he stays, I have 5 words: run north and south please.
  12. Possibly, yeah, but I can sit here and say the Chiefs will keep Albert, Broncos will retain Clady, Miami will hold onto Long, Beatty will stay in NY, and Bushrod will sign elsewhere. Vollmer is the best T available, it just sucks he plays RT, where everyone wants to continue to give Carimi the benefit of the doubt even though he is horrendous and worse than Webb.
  13. You can start by drafting Lane Johnson and the best OG available in round 2 and signing Vollmer. If Johnson is gone, draft Fluker and the best OG available and then sign the best LT on the market. That's 3 right there in either scenario.
  14. Beatty would be a nice pick-up. Albert likely won't be tagged since they'll use it on Bowe, which is retarded. Don't forget about Vollmer. I know he's not a LT, but he's arguably the best RT in football.
  15. My perfect offseason: draft Johnson and Warford + sign Vollmer. Johnson-Carimi(Louis when he's healthy)-Garza-Warford-Vollmer
  16. I think he's saying Tice is dumb, not Farrar. Farrar is pretty good at what he does. This just proves further how incompetent the Bears' offensive coaches were.
  17. Fluker has the longest arms of any OT. It's hard to do a lot of reps when it's a longer way down and up. By the way, Joeckel's 10 yard split was 1.81 and Fluker's was 1.83. Fluker's 40 was 0.03 faster than Joeckel's.
  18. Which is why I say no. If they only have $10 to spend on FA's (not including the draft money), then spending it all on an overrated WR is a dumb idea.
  19. I brought him up in my last mock as a 4th round guy and got ripped because I didn't have them going OT in round 1 or 2. Now, he looks like a 3rd round guy. Tremendous athleticism with big upside and might be perfect to be worked on by Kromer. In my pinned thread, I wrote he had an interview with the Bears.
  20. Besides the money, he drops too many passes. Over the past 2 years, he's had a few big drops in big games. For $8-10m/year, no thanks, especially consider they'll have to use some of that for an OT, because Johnson, Fisher and Joeckel will all be gone at 20, most likely.
  21. Imagine if Johnson fell to 20 and Warford to 50. *drools*
  22. Staley went to Central Michigan. Like who? Louis tore his ACL on an illegal hit. Garza and Webb are never hurt.
