  1. Essentially, yes. OL, OL, OL, TE, LB. Sounds about right. I do disagree with them though that Louis sucks. He's fine.
  2. Release Hester, Spaeth, and Davis. Keep Melton- 5 years, $37.5 million Keep McCown- 1 year, $850,000 Keep Scott- 2 years, $3 million Keep Allen- 1 year, $750,000 Sign Will Beatty- 4 years, $22.5 million 1. Alec Ogletree, MLB, Georgia --The rich history of MLB's for the Bears continues. Ogletree is fast and instinctive. If he puts on 10 pounds of muscle and stays out of trouble, he will be a beast. *Trade our 2nd to Cincinnati for a 3rd, 4th, and a 7th* 3. Stedman Bailey, WR, West Virginia --Bailey might have the best combination of speed and skill in this draft, along with his former teammate, Tavon Austin. 4. Khaseem Greene, OLB, Rutgers --Letting Roach walk saves money and it opens up an OLB spot for Greene. Greene is fast and strong. If he wasn't 6'1, he'd be a 2nd round pick. 4. Terron Armstead, T, Arkansas Pine Bluff --A 4th round OT that Kromer can work with, Armstead is said to be raw but talented and athletic. 5. Blaize Foltz, G, TCU --A guy with a cool name, Foltz was a 1st team all-MWC OG in 2011. He's 6'4 310 and really improved this past year pass blocking. 6. Marquess Wilson, WR, Washington State --He quit Wazzu's team, but if he didn't, he'd be a 2nd or 3rd round pick. 7. Braden Wilson, FB, Kansas State --The Bears could use a FB.
  3. I keep Melton, Louis, Roach, Scott, and McCown.
  4. I saw that. That would be a great pick but I could see Houston or New England picking him in round 1.
  5. I agree totally as no one here is a bigger fan of his than I am but I do not think giving him an extension is smart. What if he never improves or doesn't get along with Trestman and Kromer? Also, he'll want more than his current deal and that'll hurt this cap space.
  6. Exactly. Lovie Smith didn't make him slower. No one told him he must gain weight to play WR. He did it on his own, and now, he doesn't have elite speed anymore. His game was based off of elite speed. It's gone, and he should be as well.
  7. I highly, highly doubt Tyrann Mathieu is still available when the Bears pick in the 6th, yet alone 7th and UDFA. No, it went to Tampa for Brian Price.
  8. But he does not do that anymore, thus, he's not fast.
  9. And, the Bears need a nickelback as well as a PR. Count me out on Eifert. He couldn't separate from college DB's and LB's. Goodwin, as the rumor goes, might go in the 2nd round if he runs a sub 4.3, and with how he runs, I wouldn't put it past him. Brown is interesting. He's a smaller guy but is a tackling machine.
  10. I'm interested in some of the smaller, faster WR's. I'd like one of the top 5 fastest WR's on the Bears next year, and obviously that will all depend on their 40 times.
  11. He does? I haven't seen it. On kick returns and punt returns, he looked hesitant and slow. There were a few times that I thought he was chased down. In 2006 and 2007, that wouldn't have happened. He put on weight in an attempt to be a WR, and so he doesn't have elite speed anymore. Is it "good" speed? Maybe, but that won't cut it when your game was based off of speed.
  12. Levitre and Vazquez aren't "great" but they are really good and they are on the right side of 30. For $6m/year, I'd take either.
  13. Webb is not the best player on that OL. Garza is average and Louis is solid. That's it. Webb is below average and Carimi sucks. Scott had the best year but I'm not sure I trust him fully to play RT in 2013 and on.
  14. I think I'd rather have Weems for $650k who's a better returner and receiver at this point anyway.

  16. Where I'm going with this? You don't think it's a bit strange that you think everyone's a punk who has ever beaten the Bears?
  17. He'd have issues with Tom Brady. He can't catch a cold.
  18. Again, so why would they pay some guy like Bushrod all that money if he will only be a touch better than Webb? Financially and logically, it makes little sense.
  19. Does this Mariuchi look anything like Steve Mariucci?
  20. The weird part about Dilfer is that he loves Cutler. He's been on ESPN 1000 and has talked glowingly about him. Like you said, he's just stating facts. I think his act just grows old because he lit up Minnesota in Minnesota at night in 2010 and yet Dilfer still reemed his ass. MNF games, I think you mean.
  21. I've been saying this all along on Bushrod. Might he end up here because of Kromer and might he better than Webb? Sure. But I'm not going to replace dogs*** with below average for $5.5m/year just because.
