Bears like Lane Johnson
Fluker is a RT, Aboushi is an NFL G (arm length), Long is going to be good at G, and Thomas played T at Tennessee but will be an NFL G most likely (arm length)

Manti Te'o is a disgusting human being
670 comes in in Ohio? You should give 1000 a listen instead.

A Look Back(Randy Moss)
So, jason wants a guy who has a bad year. Yeah, that only happens to jason. I'm sure everyone of your predictions came true.

If we dont pick up anybody in FAgency(draft)
Oklahoma State is a good football school.

That's your own issue for listening to 670.

Urlacher speaks
Philip Wheeler had a good year in Oakland last year.

If we dont pick up anybody in FAgency(draft)
If Warmack is there, draft him. I don't care who's there. If Johnson is there but Warmack isn't, it's hard to pass him up, but as I've said, he might be 2-3 years away. Buyer beware. If neither are there, trade down and get a 2nd and a 3rd.

Urlacher speaks
Let him walk away. Grab his replacement. He is one of the best defensive players in the franchise's history, but he's no longer that player. Draft Te'o or Ogletree. The time is now.

Bears sign Tom Nelson
RT @ESPNChiBears: #Bears sign safety Tom Nelson to a one-year deal, per a league source. RT @ESPNChiBears: Nelson, a native of Arlington Heights, Ill., played high school ball at Hersey then at ISU. Spent 2 years w/#Bengals. Also time w/ #Eagles.

30th Ranked OL per PFF
I would give up anything to be able to draft Joeckel or Fisher.
-
If we dont pick up anybody in FAgency(draft)
I'm pretty sure we're in agreement. The good OL's in the NFL weren't put together via FA. They were drafted, hence the reason no good linemen ever hit the market.

No, when you draft OL and have real scouts who can actually identify talent, THAT is how you build a line. The 49ers didn't sign some guy for $12m/year. They took Davis, Staley and Iupati. The Bears should do it this way. You can sign a few OL but no real good OL hit the market typically. Sign depth, draft starters.

Post-Senior Bowl Mock (1/28/12)
Johnson was a QB a few years ago. Fisher and Joeckel weren't. I have nothing against Johnson, but I don't think he'll be as good as Joeckel or Fisher by 2018.

Aaron Kromer hired as OC and O-Line coach
Devin Hester isn't the same player. He's not fast as he once was, because he gained weight to be a WR. He's done.

Post-Senior Bowl Mock (1/28/12)
*based off of Chicago signing nobody in FA* 1. Lane Johnson, T, Oklahoma --I'm not a huge fan, but Johnson will be the best OT prospect left. He probably needs 2-3 years development to be an NFL LT. 2. Kyle Long, G, Oregon --Great bloodlines and a nasty player. One day, he might be an OT. Perfect. 4. Kevin Reddick, MLB, North Carolina --Reddick had a good career. His last year started slow but ended fast. He ended the year with 74 tackles, 6 TFL, 2 sacks, 5 PBU, and 1 INT. 5. Jasper Collins, WR, Mount Union --Small, lighting quick WR out of a school that shockingly produces good WR's. 6. Brian Schwenke, C, California --Center depth. Garza's contract is up after 2013, IIRC.

Sean Desai, Dwayne Stukes, and Tim Tibesar
The Bears have hired Dwayne Stukes and Sean Desai to be the assistant ST coach and one of the defensive QB coaches, respectively. Stukes played in the NFL, NFL Europe, and the AFL and last coached in the NFL in 2011 as Tampa Bay's ST coach. Sean Desai has been in the college ranks including times at Miami, Boston College, and Temple. This is interesting because he has an Indian last name. I wonder if 1) he is Indian and 2) how many other Indian coaches are in the NFL? They also have hired Tim Tibesar as the LB coach. He worked under Trestman for 3 years in Montreal and used to be the Purdue DC. (mods, can you edit this thread title to include Tibesar's name?)

Aaron Kromer hired as OC and O-Line coach
On a note like that, I wonder if the Bears would look to bring in Cliff Avril and Jared Cook + keeping Melton and Roach and going all OL in the draft.

Chris Harris is back
Exactly. Furthermore, he's a QC Coach. Essentially, that's nothing. It's almost the equivalent of a grad assistant in college football. It can't hurt for him or for the Bears.
-
Manti Te'o is a disgusting human being
Don't forget that the interview with Katie Couric, which he did only because they're represented by the same people.
-
Chris Harris is back
It makes sense. He played on Tucker's D this year in Jacksonville and he gets along with Wright and Conte.

Chris Harris is back
RT @danpompei: Former Bears safety Chris Harris hired as defensive quality control coach with the Bears, source says.

Kiper's Review of Bears 2012 Draft
Huh? McCoy and Frey are long gone.

He forgot EJ Manuel but that sounds about right.
