  1. I'd like to see a 2nd round OG.

    Found this on Tucker.

I disagree. I thought Briggs was awesome this year. Still, yes, he and Urlacher's replacements need to be found soon. I wouldn't shed a tear, but Roach is a nice back-up to have and Spencer isn't a bad back-up option either. I do want to keep Scott, however.

Bushrod was 3rd or 4th worst in the NFL among all LT's in pass protection in 2012.
  5. I guess my point was that they can sign Smith if they'd like, but that still leaves that goof Webb on the left side. I just cannot think of a way where Emery would choose to go into week 1 with Webb as his LT. If they don't sign a LT, they must draft one.

With SB and guarantees, Stein can figure out a way to keep Melton and sign Vollmer, Long, or Albert. Of course, that probably means the end of Roach, Urlacher, Spencer, Idonije, and so on.
  7. I'm shocked THIS many people here want Tebow. He's terrible. Brutal. He provides nothing for a team. The Jets had McElroy and Sanchez this year and Tebow threw 8 passes. Why would he need to come here and play more? You don't need to push Cutler. He's a UFA after the year with a 2nd year GM and a 1st year coach. He knows this is his last chance in Chicago.
  8. Too bad he can't play LT.

With the way Cliff Stein worked a miracle last offseason, I'd be shocked if they couldn't do both. Also, keep in mind, they'll likely have 15-20 new players next year thanks to a new regime. They'll be cutting a few guys and not resigning a few guys that are surprises. Is this "1/3 of the space" including if Spaeth, Davis, and Hester are cut?

Sorry. I should've been clearer. I meant 2011. They resigned Jeremy Mincey and took Andre Branch in round 2. Combined in 2012? 4 sacks. At some point the players have to play. Tucker is a good coach.
  11. Andy Bischoff got the TE coach job as well.
  12. RT @BradBiggs: Belief here is Pat Meyer will be named assistant offensive line coach. He also comes from Alouettes. Nothing official on that yet.

RT @JasonLaCanfora: Mel Tucker very highly thought of, very nearly got the Jags HC job a year ago. Big move for Marc Trestman's staff...

I believe he had a the 6th ranked D in Jacksonville last year and had some very solid ones in Cleveland.

    Tice gone

RT @danpompei: League sources say Bears very interested in Mel Tucker to be their defensive coordinator. He could be the man.
  16. He did not admitt to it fully. That's false. And if/when he does, it shows that Te'o is a dumbass. How do you fall for this for this long? Like Biggs brought up, this could turn NFL teams away. Why would they want someone who gets caught up in off the field situations so easily? He brought up that being so gullible can get him into a lot of trouble.
  17. And if they need a back-up QB, sign one or draft one. I don't want a FB/TE/ST player playing QB. Hell, if that's the case, let Rodriguez play QB.
  18. Wow, no. Tim Tebow is horrible. He's been on 2 teams that haven't wanted him. Last year, only 2 teams wanted him when he was on the block. I don't him and his circus here. All of the meatheads will want him to play after one pick. Forget it. He blows.
  19. Oh good, the Jets QB coach. He has a great 2011 and 2012...
  20. Emery said today he had a great interview. If Emery and Trestman want him on the staff, fine, but it better not be because he used to play for the Bears.
  21. This is IF they only sign a LT in FA and nothing else, and let Urlacher walk. Bears trade their 1st round pick to the Bengals for picks 37, 84, and 148, and a 4th next year. 2. DJ Fluker, T, Alabama --Got their LT, now they have their RT. 2. Gerald Hodges, LB, Penn State --Steady player for PSU who's a tackling machine. 3. Travis Kelce, TE, Cincinnati --Bigger TE threat to compliment Rodriguez; can block and catch. 4. Alvin Bailey, G, Arkansas --A solid G who would be a 2nd rounder in 2014 had he stayed. 5. Joe Kruger, DT/DE, Utah --Brother of Baltimore's Paul, he's got great size but still is raw. 5. Jasper Collins, WR, Mount Union --Speedy WR who's had a great E-W Shrine week from a school that has produced good WR's in the past. 6. Josh Evans, S, Florida --In 3 days at the E-W Shrine week, the Bears have interviewed him twice. 7. Matt Scott, QB, Arizona --Raw QB prospect to develop; reminds me of a skinnier Kaepernick.
