  1. Trestman will get a 2nd interview now, as well, per Schefter. And now per David Haugh, one candidate told him that Emery had said they will bring back 2 finalists. If that's true, it's Bevell vs Trestman.
  2. Ok, I don't smoke it but marijuana being illegal is stupid. Can we start talking about football? He uses marijuana. Urlacher cheated on his wife. Jay Cutler "is immature." Julius Peppers has been accused of not playing his hardest all the time. Ray Lewis was on trial for murder. That doesn't affect anything. Like Urlacher was, Ogletree is extremely raw. He is a converted safety, but that highlight video against great competition shows he has all the potential in the world to be a great professional MLB.
  3. Angelo drafted Melton, too.
  4. Green Bay, Baltimore, Houston, San Francisco, and Denver all use FB's.
  5. Darrell Bevell has a 2nd interview with the Bears tomorrow, per Chris Mortensen.
  6. I wouldn't say that. Like I said, he's been right and wrong before. The person who released that information might know what they're talking about.
  7. Wow, as soon as I post my thoughts, you post this. Sounds like it's Bevell, Clements, Arians, Dennison, or Trestman. Regardless, I'll stick with my source. He's been right and wrong before, but it seems odd he told me what he did 2 days ago and now McClure tweeted this.
  8. Five days ago, I went out on a limb and said that my guess is Arians or McCoy. Two days ago, I posted THIS^^ because I heard from my source that Emery is extremely interested in Trestman. Now, Vaughn McClure has tweeted "don't be surprised if Marc Trestman is the last man standing." Look for this to be official by Friday at the latest. It's not 100% done now, but if I had to bet on it, I'd bet Trestman.
  9. Michael Wright- eliminate all D and ST options. It'll be an offensive guy.
  10. Signing Jared Cook or Dustin Keller or using a pick on one to go with Rodriguez is a necessity.
  11. Iupati was the 17th player taken, not the 43rd.
  12. Bears, and 5 other teams, ask for permission to interview Chris Tabor (Browns ST coach) but are denied.
  13. J'Marcus Webb has been one of the worst offensive lineman in NFL history for 3 years. He's practically ruined the Bears 3 pick-1 QB-$8m/year investment, single handedly. Jay Cutler has done nothing but win since he's come here. That wouldn't make sense for Urlacher to do that.
  14. Yeah, because Webb was constantly getting Cutler's ass reemed by opposing pass rushers, game after game, year after year. Webb is lucky Cutler didn't smash his face with the gatorade cooler. Seriously, what if during your job, you had the same asshole interfering with you? Let's say you write reports for a company. What if some goof, every few minutes, came by and slapped the pen as you were writing, causing a huge, permanent, unprofessional line across the page? After about 30 minutes, your paper would look pretty f***ed up, no? You'd probably also like to kick him sterile, no? So, he doesn't like doing interviews. That means you have a poor attitude? Rodgers looks bored too (he even ignored a cancer patient in an airport one time when she was seeking an autograph). So does Bill Belichick (ever hear one of his interviews?). Peyton Manning did one earlier this year with Trey Wingo where he kept giving 1-3 word answers, insinuating Wingo was a moron (which he is). How's that for an attitude? But I know, I know, they have championships so they can act like pricks. What statements has he made that shows immaturity and/or a poor attitude? Has he ever verbally blamed anyone but himself? Not that I recall. Every loss ended with him saying "it starts with me, offensively." Have you heard him on his weekly radio show, where he's friendly with fans and the hosts? Apparently not. The only reason Cutler is perceived how he is because he demanded a trade and played like ass in his first year. Since then, he's had a very impressive record on a team with ONE (maybe 2, depending on your views of Forte) in 4 years. Cut him some slack, especially when "attitude" means nothing.
  15. I agree. McClellin is an OLB playing a 4-3 now. He needs a few years. Yeah, if he has 2.5 sacks/year through 2014, then yes, then he's a bust. After one year though, you can't write him off.
  16. The way I look at Arians is that he was an offensive coach for PIT in 2005 and 2009. Both years, they won a ring. This year, he's taken an offense led by 5 rookies to the 7th ranked overall offense.
  17. 1000% agree. What if Cutler had acted devastated? Then everyone would say he's a baby. BTW, keep in mind that after RG3 went out, he hugged Shanahan with a smile, was talking to a random teammate laughing, and when they were on D, they showed him alone on the bench. What's the difference between that and looking frustrated and not helping the back-up QB? Last time I checked, what Cutler did could be thought of as a better way to handle yourself, seeing as if how RG3 was visibly laughing and thus giving off the impression he didn't care.
  18. I guess my final thoughts are that I hope it's Arians but I'm going to guess Trestman.
  19. Actually it all depends on if they do have to give up the 7th for Price, for the 2nd time. The pick, at the time of the trade, was a "conditional" pick. Therefore, since Price did next to nothing in Chicago, that 7th might be from the league, not necessarily from the Bears. Not saying it won't be, but it's still undetermined. Check WF's draft order, a guy who makes a living off of a draft website. Oops, I meant second. Totally forgot about Joeckel.
  20. Not too bad, but Long, Cave, AND Johnson may be too much, considering they'd probably still have Carimi, Scott, and Webb.
  21. Unless he has a serious, serious flop at the combine, Eric Fisher will be the first OL off the board. Personally, I'd trade down to get a later 1st + a 3rd and draft a MLB or T (Fluker) in round 1.
  22. The Colts drafted 5 starters in 2012, with Luck, Allen, Fleener, Hilton, and Ballard. Even LaVon Brazil gets some snaps. The Bears could do the same, in theory. Use a 6th or 7th on a QB.
  23. I believe the Bears do have a 7th and will have one come the draft. I believe you're referring to the Brian Price trade. That is still undetermined whether they'll have to trade that 7th, and based off what Price did for the Bears, I doubt they will. You made a comment about him being from Penn State.
  24. Marinelli may not be back and Marinelli's D last year was mostly man to man or zone.
