  1. Webb and Williams played OK, but I think Webb was better jus because he always had some help. Rachal was a better blocker than Spencer but had a few penalties. Cutler was great. Bush played well. Jeffery continues to play well. McClellin was nowhere to be found in the first half, but Idonije and Peppers played well as did Melton. I hope Conte and Podlesh are OK.
  2. Agreed 100%. I was just going to come on here and post this. With Tillman being a good CB, Moore being a TO machine, McClellin being very quick, Peppers being Peppers, and Melton and Idonije going through opposing interior OL's, the Bears should be able to get off the field this year on 3rd downs. They have a lot of weapons. This isn't even including Briggs being Briggs and Jennings being a solid corner. If Urlacher is healthy and him covering the middle of the field, their nickel package should be very good.
  3. What I'm looking for tonight: McClellin to continue to play with energy Jeffery to continue to catch the ball well Cutler and Marshall to hook up on a few throws The starting defensive line to get ONE sack
  4. I doubt JA makes that trade for Marshall. Cutler was asking for better WR's in 2009 and 2010. What did JA do? Nothing. However, in Emery's first year, he finally got Cutler what he wanted. If Angelo didn't learn the first 2 years, I doubt he learns in his 3rd. It's easy now for him to say "I was going to get a WR this offseason" now that he's gone.
  5. Yeah, Mullin is on and off with his info. As for Knox, yeah he does suck, and I'd say he did directly cause it. If he doesn't slip, Cutler doesn't try to tackle him. If Cutler doesn't try, "he's a loser who doesn't want to win that bad." Cutler had no choice because of Knox. He's been playing on that turf for a few years and still can't stay on his feet.
  6. I put this is the 2 page Urlacher thread. Moon Mullin is reporting that Urlacher has now had 3 surgeries since week 17: one after the incident, one in the spring, and the one a few days ago. And don't forget screw Knox for slipping and causing a broken thumb.
  7. Bump, because of more Packers injuries.
  8. He's not really shy. He just hates the media and what it stands for I guess. He's always had a dry sense of humor though.
  9. Moon Mullin reporting this is Urlacher's 3rd knee surgery since week 17.
  10. I never thought I'd see the day where he'd volunteer to do a commercial, but he did a pretty good job.
  11. It's just one of those things where Lovie likes the guy and thinks he has the potential in terms of his size. He also loves Steltz, Hester, etc. I don't know if the "if that's the case" was sarcasm, so I'll just say that you don't have to trust what I say. Not everything he hears happens and doesn't happen, like for an example- I put on here first that the Bears wanted Mario Williams badly and a few of you believed me. I also said they'd sign him. Unfortunately I was half right, but they were going to get him if Marshall didn't fall in their lap.
  12. That's it? That's only about 219 yards/game.
  13. If he's back in 18 days like Roach, he'll be ready for practice 9/2 (or 9/3, because I don't think they'll practice on a Sunday), which would mean he'd have anywhere from 6-7 days to practice before week 1.
  14. Same one Roach had in 2010 too and he was back in 18 days.
  15. I guess I was looking more for everyone else's predictions.
  16. The Bears win 10 games. The Bears lose in the NFC title game in Lambeau. McClellin has 8 sacks. Peppers had 13 sacks, combined with a few FF's, FR's, and an INT or two and wins DPOY. Cutler has 30+ TD's and less than 15 INT's and plays all 16 games. He only will get sacked 28 times. Conte has 7 INT's. Evan Rodriguez is a starter by week 17. Marshall leads Bears' WR's in catches and yards. Bennett is second in both categories. Jeffery leads all WR's on the Bears in TD's. Urlacher doesn't play until week 7 (week after the bye).
  17. Because I have a source who has a really good job inside the Bears organization.
  18. Apparently, they didn't even need to cut, which seems like it'd be good news.
  19. Herd? Are you referring to Colin Cowherd?
  20. Isn't Geno Hayes better than any 3rd round rookie?
  21. Webb is going to get every shot to win this, but it's not coming from Tice. Trust me when I say this- Tice truly does not love Webb like some of you make it out to be. Lovie thinks Webb has the tools and so he gets the starts. This is not a guess. I know this. If Webb fails in 2012, he won't be given chance on top of chance to keep his job. Chris Williams will be the starter. For the time being, I'd be shocked if Webb isn't the starter on 9/9 vs Indianapolis.
  22. If they're without Urlacher against Indy, that's a tough game. Luck is the real deal. Hopefully they can outscore the Colts. Without him vs GB, that's really tough. Without him vs STL, it's winnable still. Without him in DAL, very tough. They need him. And, not only this, but a loss there could have the Bears picking 13th or 14th rather than 19th.
