  1. 1. Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State ---Doesn't seem committed; RT. 2. Bruce Irvin, OLB, WVU ---Too small to be a DE; too big to be a OLB? 3. Dwayne Allen, TE, Clemson ---Not impressed by him; too early for a TE. 4. TY Hilton, WR, Florida International ---Too small and the Bears have too many PR/KR's
  2. Every first round pick is either their college team's #1 or #1b WR. If it was as easy as saying "every team with a #1 WR already drafting a WR in round 1 will benefit greatly because of that huge presence at #1 WR already," then every team would take one and they'd have the greatest tandem in history. How's Michael Crabtree doing? How did Steve Smith do in year 1? Or Jennings? Or Fitzgerald? It's not that easy.
  3. I hated watching Favre murder the Bears, but you know what I hated more? The horses*** teams the Bears had during that time. Instead of hating the team that's annihilating the Bears, how about hating the Bears for conistently being the recipient of annihilation? I bet nobody hates Minnesota right now. Why? Because they're easy wins. With a better team, the Bears would've beaten Favre more than twice (exaggerating) in a decade, and then maybe nobody would "hate" them as much. If you're saying I'm not a Bears fan because I don't HATE the Packers, then get lost. I don't pony up $3,000 annually for season tickets + $700 more for a Bears roadtrip each year for shits and giggles. I do it because I love the Bears. I do it because I was born into that love. I don't do it to scoreboard watch and pray the Packers lose and their best 2 players sustain brutal injuries.
  4. So you expect Reuben Randle, Mohamed Sanu, or Kendall Wright to be the #2 WR this year? High expectations. A top flight WR? At #19 or #50? Yeah I highly doubt it
  5. Oops. When I hit edit, I must've hit "cancel." I meant to edit my post and instead write that lately, they'd played better. They beat GB in 2010 at home, the beat MIN in 2009 at home, they beat PHI and MIN last year, and kept the GB game close even without Forte and Cutler.
  6. They should've traded him after the 2007 season, like I've said since then.
  7. Honestly, there is nothing about Green Bay that I HATE. Passionate fans, great team, fantastic stadium. Of course, I hope the Bears crush them twice every year, but it's players on Detroit that rub me the wrong way, not GB. I'm a younger generation fan, and so things that happened in the '70's and early '80's with Bears/Packers don't make me hate current Packers.
  8. I'll be pissed if the Bears take a WR in round 1 or 2. Bennett and Marshall is good enough, and if they really are going to give Hester a lot of time at WR again, a 1st or 2nd round WR would likely get lost in the shuffle. Go DT, DE, OT, S, or CB with the first 2 picks.
  9. On SNF, they struggle. On MNF, they do not.
  10. Best: Bears, Packers, Steelers, Raiders, Dolphins Worst: Jaguars, Falcons, Browns, Jets
  11. I was leaning toward this game but flights out there are expensive.
  12. I know Nike recently came out with the new jerseys and we all had disagreements on if "classic" jerseys should be modernized, so I ask: what jerseys are your favorite and least favorite around the league? 2 or 3 of each would be fine.
  13. Just seeing if anyone is going anywhere, besides Chicago, to see a Bears game this year. For example, I know MadLith lives in California so SF or ARZ games are options, and I *think* jason lives in Tennessee, so the Titans game is an option for him. As I'm sure you all know, every year I go somewhere. In 2008, it was Indianapolis, 2009- Seattle, 2010- Carolina, 2011- Denver. The last 2 years I haven't seen Cutler, so maybe I'm a jinx. This year, I'm thinking about driving to GB week 2, and I'm definitely going to Nashville for November 4 vs Tennessee.
  14. But yeah, is McNeil quality? You said it yourself, he has injury issues. What if they brought him in, and only him on the OL, and right away his back acts up on him? It's like they added no one.
  15. Oops, I meant to say "no great OL ever hit the market, and when they do, they're OG's, not OT's." Agree with everyone. This is a 1 year deal. If he is outplayed by E.Williams in TC, cut him. People are acting like they gave him 4 years, $14 million like they did with Omiyale. And for the record, when Omiyale signed with the Bears, I checked the Panthers' board at Footballsfuture.com or whatever the site is called, and a lot of people said he was a good player. Maybe when he got paid, he lost motivation here.
  16. I've seen some mocks where they have Turbin going in round 3 to Pittsburgh. Similar to Wagner, he's flying up draft boards.
  17. USU played at Arkansas this year, and Wagner really stood out. He'd be a great 3rd round pick in my eyes.
  18. The Bears FINALLY sign a veteran OL. EVERYONE wanted one of these, right? So they finally do, and already you people start to compare him to Frank Omiyale, the worst OT on Earth. Wow. You either want a veteran or you don't. Pick one. Hint: great OL don't hit the market, and when they do, paying them $10m/year is a dumb idea
  19. OG depth. He started around 40 of his first 55 games and started them at RG. Good depth move and will push Spencer. 1 year deal
  20. Yet you wanted Mario Williams at $100m and he never touches the ball. Bottom line: if he's a sure thing at LT, I'd trade future picks. Look at Joe Thomas. Possibly a future HOF'er, and in the 2007 draft, Cleveland took him and the Bears took Olsen. In other words, they took an all-pro and the Bears took a 3rd round pick.
  21. Games I'm eyeing: Jaguars- f*** MJD for his Cutler comments. Packers twice- obvious reasons Lions twice- obvious reasons Texans- Foster vs Bears always-good-stopping-the-run D 49ers- Marshall and Cutler vs A.Smith, J.Smith, and Willis Cardinals- Peterson vs Hester Also: week 2, 4, 7, 9, and 10 are all primetime games. TNF, MNF, MNF, SNF, and MNF respectively.
  22. I'd trade my 1st this year, 3rd this year, and 1st next year for Kalil. If they want more, f*** 'em.
  23. I'd rather see the Bears trade down to 23-25 and take Brockers. If he's not there then, then go option B. Pick up another 3rd, and in the process, still get your guy or Perry/Mercilus.
