  1. Week 4: @ Dallas, MNF Week 7: Detroit, MNF Week 10: Houston, SNF Week 11: @ SF, MNF
  2. Week 1: vs Indianapolis Week 2: TNF @ GB per ESPN 1000
  3. In the 2nd round, I'd be looking at: Chandler Jones (DE, Syracue) LaVonte David (OLB, Nebraska) Alfonzo Dennard (CB, Nebraska) Janoris Jenkins (CB, N.Alabama) Brandon Thompson (DT, Clemson) Amini Silatolu (OG, Midwestern State) Kevin Zeitler (OG, Wisconsin)
  4. How can you say that? Paea, Melton, and who else are the DT's? Exactly.
  5. Interesting. Brockers has a lot of potential. Paea, Melton, and Brockers could be a special rotation in 2-3 years, or they could have all busted by then too. Who knows?
  6. Wow, I can't believe that jagoff finally has shut up regarding Cutler.
  7. I think they're definitely a championship contender. Last year and in 2010 they were. Hell, with a healthy Cutler, I could make an argument that they would've won 1 or 2 Super Bowls.
  8. 1. Quinton Coples 2. David DeCastro 3. Dontari Poe 4. Fletcher Cox 5. Nick Perry 6. Whitney Mercilus That would be mine.
  9. Cox would be a terrific addition. There is still chatter of the Rams taking him at #6 if Blackmon is taken before them. That shows he's wanted.
  10. So let's see: -Bennett signed an extension. -Cutler signed one back in 2009. -Hester stayed. -Briggs has now stayed. -Garza was extended. -Tillman also received one a long time ago, as did Urlacher. -Bell will likely sign his tender. -Peppers WANTED to be a Bear in 2010. -Davis remained in Chicago, as did Steltz and Jennings. -Marshall was traded here and praised the organization. Although I know I'm forgetting multiple extensions/raises/signings, this is still a TON of guys who love this organization I hope all of you who are on Forte's side in this on-going Bears vs Forte case are starting lean toward switching sides. Everyone seems to love this organization with the exception of Forte. Hey Matt, be a man and sign the offer on the table, you greedy a**hole.
  11. Courtney Upshaw would be an oustanding pick. He reminds me of Kamerion Wimbley and Von Miller. All of these guys would put up GREAT numbers as a 3-4 OLB, but all of them can play 4-3 DE or OLB and be consistent pass rushers. If Upshaw is there at 19, Emery should heavily consider taking him.
  12. On punts, you can take your time, run around, and find a hole. On kickoffs, this isn't really possible, unless you want to consistently begin drives at the 10.
  13. I understand now on the first point. As for your second, yeah, Melton was a tad inconsistent, but he did lead the NFL in sacks from DT's. While this stat might not tell the whole story, I think it's a pretty big one. Keep in mind he was only 2 or 3 years removed from being a RB at UT.
  14. I love Nick Perry. He reminds me of Adewale Ogunleye, who had a solid career, including a 15 sack season and a few 6.5+ sack years. The Bears would obviously expect more from Perry, however. Perry is strong, plays the run well, and was successful individually at a successful USC program. He never got in trouble and isn't really a big talker; he just plays his heart out and works hard off the field. He also knows the cover-2 since Monte Kiffin was his DC these past 2 years, and since Kiffin and Lovie are friends, this might be important. In his freshman year, Perry had something like 9 sacks even though he missed 5 games, and last year, and he had 9.5 IIRC. He also played at USC listed at 250 pounds, but at the combine, he measured in around 6'3 273. A lot of you think Perry is a reach at 19, and even though I'll disagree there, he's DEFINITELY not a reach at 24-27.
  15. Okoye's in Tampa Bay's mix now, not Chicago's. Maybe we watched two different Anthony Adams, but I thought AA was pathetic in 2011.
  16. I believe Tampa Bay only gave him $1.3m for 2012, which IIRC, he made more than that in 2012. Weird.
  17. Muhammad had 3 1,000 yard years in 9 years prior to Chicago. Marshall has had a 1,000 yard season in 5 of his first 6 years with his rookie year being the only year he didn't. Marshall is obviously younger. Marshall is obviously playing with better QB's than Muhammad was. Moose wishes he had the abilities that Brandon Marshall does. Griese wasn't awful. 11 TD's/14 INT's would've gotten the Bears into the playoffs in 2011. Agree. Agree. I didn't hate JA. Based on the head coach? Why? Because he signed a veteran CB who fits the system? I think every GM aims to find guys who fit the team's schemes, no? As for the "we'll go DE early" comment, isn't that needed, or do you just want Idonije and Wootton along side Peppers? They tried to get Mincey but he stayed in Jacksonville. They couldn't address every need in FA, and now they'll address those in 3 weeks. We all wanted BETTER players, but again, who did you have in mind? Finnegan and Carr for $10 million? Then they'd still be without a #1 WR. Mario Williams for a gazillion/year? Then they'd have twice the needs.
  18. Plus, this year there are a lot of needs: OG, OT, C, WR, S, CB, DE, DT, LB.
  19. I posted that before the Hayden/Wilhite signings.
  20. Would anyone be interested in trading down? They could get a lower 1st, still get Nick Perry, and add a 3rd. Thoughts?
  21. Why a WR though? They have so many already, and even if they cut Komar and Sanzenbacher, they still have BM, Hester, Thomas, Bennett, Knox, and Weems. Then again, they COULD essentially list Weems or Hester as a DB. I think a lot of people are too down on TJ. He didn't give up a TD last year. Only 1 other CB in football can say that. Melton led all DT's in sacks... And BTW, they brought in a bonafide #1 WR, a great back-up QB, and a great #2 RB. What are you talking about? Why?
  22. He meant who the f*** is Jonathan Wilhite.
  23. Steinbach hasn't been the same since he got a big contract a few years ago. I wouldn't mind him as a back-up though.
