  1. And "I think Davis can be a great TE if used properly."
  2. 3. He signed in Dallas a day or two ago. As for your post a few posts ago, I believe the Bears will go after Wimbley, and if he doesn't sign, they'll probably sign a veteran DE or LB. After that, they'll use the rest for the rookies.
  4. Summary: Marshall was very open about BPD. He rattled off stats left and right and seemed very apologetic. He said he's very confident he won't be suspended. He said he and his wife do a lot of community work for BPD and depressed/homeless women. BM said he and Cutler's chemistry is amazing and the Bears organization is first class. He also talked up the personalities in the locker room and that he'll just contribute to winning. Cutler said he'll help BM all he can. He said he originally thought BM was mad at him because the trade went down when he was on a plane and so he couldn't reply to him. He said Kellen Davis can be a premier TE in the NFL and he can't wait to work with Tice. How about when Cutler was like: "I didn't expect to see all of your shining faces today."
  5. Wimbley is a shorter DE but he's very stout. He's very hard working on the field and he's pretty nasty. I think he'd be a terrific fit. As for the price, he's probably looking for $6-7.5m/year.
  6. It will be televised on CSN Chicago, and probably NFL Network and ESPN, for those wondering.
  7. I don't really mind the signing. Idonije is old and he definitely has to be better than 2011, like you said. I fully expect the Bears to now take a DE in round 1 or 2 since they missed out on Mincey and Mario. Once they pick that DE, I still think Idonije is the starter opposite Peppers, but I do think that rookie DE will get a decent amount of playing time, and who better to learn from than Peppers and a veteran, high IQ guy like Idonije.
  8. He won't be a back-up, unless you mean a back-up WR. He is going to be THE kick returner. He's going to take Graham's spot as a gunner, and everyone LOVED Graham's work last year. If I told everyone Graham would be back for 1.4 million a year, everyone would've had an erection. This is a great move for a guy who is even more versatile than Graham, and everyone will agree when the Bears have the best ST in football again.
  9. Idonije has re-upped with the Bears for 1 year.
  10. The Weems deal is only around $1.4m/year. That's a steal.
  11. Granted, it's not exactly right most likely, but Sean Jensen tweeted earlier that the Bears have $16m left to spend. Just throwing that out there.
  12. That's nice. Enjoy Western NY. Enjoy never winning a Super Bowl. Peace.
  13. Not sure if CSN is going to carry it.
  14. Plus Costanzo is supposedly a badass ST player as well. I read some tweets last night and he was a serious fan favorite in SF.
  15. I would sign Jerricho Cotchery and draft a WR in round 3 or 4. Cotchery is only 29, he has leadership ability, and he has decent size at 6'1 200. Marshall Bennett Rookie Cotchery Hester Weems
  16. That's what I said. Hester is the better PR and Weems is the better KR. Also, Weems will take Graham's spot as the gunner.
  17. I'm with terra. Last night on CTL, Vaughn McClure said that right now, Knox's focus is on walking, yet alone playing football. I do not expect Knox to play football in 2012.
  18. Here's the link, guys: http://espn.go.com/espnradio/chicago/play?id=7686698 He sounds really confident that Marshall won't suspended and everything is fine, which is good to hear. I know he's "supposed" to say that, but he said twice that he's "fully confident."
  19. If the Bears draft Orson Charles, I'm going to jump off of something a few stories high.
  20. Minnesota gave Carlson 5 years and $5m per. Wow. That's ridiculous for a guy who didn't even play last year due to a serious injury.
  21. And BTW, the Bears are paying Bennett $4.5m for the next 4 years. I highly doubt they make him their 4 or 5.
