  1. Because they went 8-8 last year, and they're one of 20 teams who didn't make the playoffs. They had to pick between any of those 20 teams.
  2. There's a reason Toon was projected as a 1st round pick last April, and now mocks have him going anywhere from round 3 to 5. Pro scout? No. But I guarantee I watch more college football than the majority of this board.
  3. Nick Toon isn't really good. I sincerely hope they don't waste a pick on him.
  4. 2 of 5 NFL.com writers believe they'll be 2012's Giants. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d826c..._content_stream
  5. He was the assistant OL coach in Tampa.
  6. Walt from WF now has them taking Kendall Wright, BTW.
  7. The Chargers are releasing him because of that injury and because they need salary cap space. If it checks out, I say they should bring him in, depending on the money.
  8. Ease up, boss. I just think Potter is a RT as do a lot of others. Yes, I know he's better than Webb. I'm better than Webb at 6'1, 210. I agreed and said I like James as an option. All I said was drafting an OLB and or DE in rounds 1-3 would be nice. I know there's a lot of OLB depth, but I'd rather have a good one then a solid one. Umless they sign Williams or Avril, they're in trouble.
  9. How about a DE or OLB? Potter is an NFL RT. James wouldn't be too bad. Bell fumbles a lot and has an injury prone past.
  10. I heard this yesterday and couldn't find a way to make it online to break it for everyone here. Nonetheless, I've heard that this offseason will be all about Cutler, which anyone could guess. They are also very interested in Dwayne Bowe, too.
  11. I know someone did this awhile ago, but I just thought I'd check a few mocks around the internet and see their Bears projections for round 1. Here's what I found Walterfootball (Walt)- Michael Floyd Walterfootball (Charlie)- Peter Konz ESPN (Kiper)- Michael Floyd ESPN (McShay)- Kendall Wright Bleacher Report- Peter Konz Rantsports- Michael Floyd Draft Countdown- Alshon Jeffery Draftek- Mohamed Sanu Draft Site- Michael Floyd
  12. That interview is so pointless. He likes playing for the Bears? He'd probably like to play in Miami too for even more money. It's just a dumb interview to ask prospects about playing in a specific spot. Also, he says "they're on TV a lot." Um, every NFL game is on TV, so..?
  13. I brought this up awhile ago.. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/jensen/1035...nce-briggs.html
  14. That's a ridiculous statement.
  15. They are wearing new throwbacks next year, once again ditching the regular orange jerseys.
  16. Christensen will be retained by the Colts, per a McClure retweet
  17. Take my own advice...how? Because I said they look like s***, listed my favorite jerseys, acknowledged what others may like in terms of teams' jerseys, was dead serious about them wearing pink, and said "agree to disagree?" Alright. Will do. Thanks.
  18. I don't believe what I'm reading here. Adams is projected as a LT and even if he's a RT, he's already 49x better than Webb. And, since the LT FA class is weak, I'd go Adams over Floyd at this point.
  19. Agree on everything in this post except Paea. He was a very good DT at Oregon State. I think he'll be a decent player going forward. Problem is, they need more guys who are good or great and not just decent.
  20. Yes. He probably had the best week of anyone in the Senior Bowl. As a matter of fact, Wes Bunting (@wesbunting on twiter) covers the draft more extensively than anyone I've seen, just tweeted that his top OT prospects are Kalil, Reiff, Adams, Martin.
  21. Agree to disagree. To me, the Bears, Packers, and Steelers have the best jerseys in football. To others, more modernized ones like Atlanta, Minnesota, and Arizona are the best. For all I care, they can wear pink as long as they're consistent winners. No need to be a smartass with the "thanks for your input," by the way.
  22. I don't know how anyone could hate that press conference. We've all wanted playmakers for a long time, wanted Ruskell out, and wanted a great FO, and he mentioned the "Patriot Way" one or two times, fired Ruskell hours ago, and said the word "playmakers" at least a dozen times. I don't give a damn how boring he is. Lou Piniella was a cool listen when he was in Chicago. How did that work out?
  23. Judging from the tweets by Zaidman, Jensen, etc., Emery will have all of the power to do whatever he wants, besides firing Lovie right now. Originally, a lot of us (excluding myself and a few others) on this board thought he'd simply be the organization's b****. It's good news that he won't be.
